To be honest before u ever showed who it was my first thought was Weston! I often wondered why he wasn’t helping out but at least now he’s back around his family and working too so it’s the best of both worlds!! I know DeJay is happy she’s got her 1st born baby around her more🥰!! This is a wonderful way to help him and help you too!! Congratulations Weston 🎉!! We have sure missed seeing u !!

I worked with my father in a business while I was in college. It was a basic rule, we did not discuss work at home or home at work. He was one of three people giving me directions about what to deliver to whom and which was highest priority. We managed to make work be a positive place where we got along. Unfortunately it took many more years before we got around to fixing our father son issues. So what I am saying is don’t goof up your relationship with the job. It is a great opportunity for Weston, and an excellent opportunity for your UA-cam channel. I just hope it doesn’t sour. ❤
My guess was right. That's great that you're able to keep it all close by, having Weston on with you. Weston, if you play your cards right, I'll bet you get a lot of home cooked meals too. Having trust in the help is huge. What a blessing for all. I'll bet Dusty will be happy to tap into that resource as well to augment things as needed.

Daniel, when you said you hired someone, I think we all thought it would be Weston. I am happy that he is back with you guys. I know that you will always remember that he is your son and not always seen as a hired hand. Happy to see you again, Weston! I thought you did a good job publishing your videos. I am surprised, Daniel & Dejay, that you waited this long to hire some help. I thought you needed help a few months ago. My first job was working with my Mom n the hospital with her while I went to school at 14 yrs old. I worked with her for many yrs and she became my best friend and teacher. She was hands down the toughest boss I’ve ever had. When I became a boss I bought n my youngest son to work for me n the summers then full time after I bought my own business. The bond we have even after selling my business is fantastic.

Hey Daniel, your injured duck is a female - Ms Duck. Male ducks have a curled feather on the top of their tail. This girl doesn't have that curled feather. Besides she's got female coloring of a Snowy Mallard Call Duck or a Welsh Harlequin. Excited to see the eggs hatch. It would be interesting to see you end up with an Emu or Ostrich for a little bit.

It is so good to see Weston coming back. We all wait for kids to come back and sometimes it takes a while but if you did your job right they will come back and will want to be the man or woman you always hoped they would be. It is not about what you taught them but how you taught them. I think we should have many years ahead of Weston and Arms Family Homestead together. I wont be around when it happens but it would be nice to see the channel going from parents to kids someday.

I’m kind of glad that Weston’s back home. Yeah I know boys like to go off and become something other than what their parents want them to be but he’s home and he’s gonna help and I like having my kids around. Yeah they can go to their own homes at night or go to their room but I like half of my kids around and I’m glad Weston’s and help out.❤❤

I really hope all the eggs hatch! Y'all will see with enough time and love you can make them tame as Nugget! I really pray that lil duck is OK and tell that boy if he's an honest to goodness farm hand now, he needs to go buy himself a good pair of mechanic gloves to wear doing the odd jobs like those bales of hay. That twine will almost cut you for real!! The mechanic gloves are lightweight and you can still move your hands good. I think your son will work out just fine and I hope it will being lots of happy memories between father and son❤️❤️❤️

Our 24 year old son works for us. We own an auto body repair shop & he is our head painter. Working with family is not always easy as we expect more from him. Today has worked 13 hours which is normal as he takes his job seriously. We taught him to work for everything he works so he’s not afraid of work & loves the money. Proud momma here! So good luck to Weston for taking the leap. I hope he works out as it’s not always easy to switch from parent to employee working with your kids.
I had no idea emu eggs were so dark! Is it green? It looks green but ya never know on a video how the color changes. Great job to Lester for packaging them so well that only one cracked. ❤

Nothings Better than having your family around and working for the business. One it teaches them about running a business and time management, plus a you can see what works and what doesn’t and have a vision on how you’d run one.
I raised my two nephews and they are like my sons. The oldest is away, not far but far enough that I don’t see him often and I miss him so much. Glad you’ll have your son there helping you Daniel

Weston was doing great on his channel when he got started. The one and only suggestion I would give him would be to speak up a little bit. He's very soft spoken and a little shy. But that would be easy for him. He has a wonderful personality and a great smile. I see his channel growing rapidly. You can do this Weston. Congrat on your new position and welcome home. Daniel the green egg is a Emu. Pronounced with a long E sound. We have a fairly large Emu farm up the freeway. They also have deer, goats, birds, rabbits and sting ray fish. My granddaughters love it. Bridgette is such an animal lover. She goes nuts everytime we go. It never gets old . I am hoping that Houston's eggs all hatch. It will be so exciting for Houston and us your U.T. family. So happy " Mr Duck" 🦢 is doing better. Y'all take care be safe.

I love that Weston is back, and working on the family farm! And that's what I love most, keeping it in the family. The family farms are going away and have been for awhile now. Parcels getting sold off to pay for bills. Kids not sticking around to work it. Although if you ask them, most farm parents would be just fine with that fact that their kids have a career in something other than farming. My daughter had purchased some duck eggs off Amazon, it was a lil project for her & her son, he was so excited! When she got them there were like 10 and 6 hatched, they were silver Appleyard ducks, soo cute they got pretty big. I seen the excitement in Houston's lil face & voice I hope and pray he gets his lil feathered friends, I kinda thought Weston was ur new hired hand, it's very good to see him back, someone you can trust and depend on. Every time I watch a video with Houston in it I am impressed by his composure and maturity. Yes, he has his moments, but sometimes it is hard to remember that he is only 10.
I remember that one of the biggest attractions at a museum we regularly visited when i was a child was the chicken egg incubator. Watching chicks hatch was amazing.
I was thinking the same thing. He has a bright future. The things he says at times really shocks me that he is only 10.
