Mr. DJ….my name is Tiffany Coburn and I’m the 2nd soprano in Voctave. I cannot tell you how very VERY honored and humbled I was by your high compliments and extremely kind words. It’s not everyday an arranger like Jamey Ray comes along and offers us the opportunity to get to sing songs like this! Ha!!!! WE ARE BLESSED and so extremely grateful for new friends like you that give us such beautiful encouragement and support. It pushes us along to the next thing….whatever that may be. You and all of these friends in the comments…..THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND FOR LISTENING TO OUR MUSIC. ❤️
Tiffany, you all are so amazing. Saw you in concert in Tucson on your last tour before COVID. What a privilege to hear you. I loved your O Holy Night! Looking forward to your new Lullaby album.
The woman you'd like to give $5mil too is Tiffany Coburn. She was just nominated for a Dove Award for INSPIRATIONAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR for her album "You Are More". She's my favorite singer on the planet.
The language at the end is Hebrew. It is based on a popular song in Judaism. The lyrics and translation are as follows: "Ashira ladonai ki gaoh gaah, Ashira ladonai ki gaoh gaah, Michamocha baelim adonai, Mikamocha nedarba kodesh, Nachitah v'chas d'cha am zu gaalta, Nachitah v'chas d'cha am zu gaalta, Ashira, ashira, ashira..." Who is like you, majestic in Holiness? In your love You lead the people You redeemed, I will sing, I will sing, I will sing..."
I was just about to hit the bed man, and you hit me with this reaction. DJ the dissection of this was superb. In a couple places you asked who was singing, and I believe the lead for "When you Believe" was Tiffany Coburn. Her voice is supreme, and I felt like I was hearing her specific tone there. The super high soprano is Kate Lott. I had the pleasure of meeting several members of this group including both of those listed when we visited Disney World a few years back. Kinder people you'll never meet man. Always appreciate the education and as the musicians step up, so do you boss. Be well DJ!
Kate is the high soprano and Tiffany is the soprano that you were asking about! Also you should give some credit to Jamey Ray for his arrangements! He does the arrangements of this group and actually founded Voctave! Also, he is my professor at Rollins College!☺️ love your reactions btw♥️
So you have to give Jamie a high five for me. I saw Voctave in Richmond IN this past year. During a vamp of the Grinch he pretended to check his watch, and the acted like he forgot he didn't have a hand. Absolutely broke me.
@@brentbrown9728 holy crap is it just me or does crystal sound exactly like moses' mother in the song deliver us near the end. (sorry if its not crystal who sings that part, still learning the names)
I am so glad you reacted to this! This arrangement left me shook and my non-musically inclined hubby said it was nice... I love the way to break apart the music, and just appreciate the heck out of this masterpiece!
"On the verge of geeking out" reactions are the best reactions. Like you, this combined two of my favorite things: The Prince of Egypt and Voctave. What is not to love? Their harmonies, arrangements and musicality are unmatched by any other group in my humble opinion. Always enjoy your explanations and ability to teach some basic music theory, but genuinely appreciated that this was just a touch too powerful and personal to add those this time (with a few exceptions, of course). Great reaction. Thank you, DJ! I know Voctave reactions don't give you the "views" of other acts, but LOVE that you keep coming back because you enjoy and appreciate it.
I love watching someone else get as many goosebumps as I do when I hear their arrangement. It’s so beautiful, sometimes I burst right into tears at the first “deliver us” ❤❤❤
The 12:21 point loved the "uhs" filling in the low end and then the melodic shift to harmonize with the lead singer taking the new song. Just that transition got me. The Hebrew language and musical sensibilities really shone powerfully in Voctave's arrangement, and they have the voices to deliver it! Loved your reaction and enjoyment as always, especially since this soundtrack was close to your heart. Loved how you "selfishly" (as you put it) went back to listen again and again to the awesomeness they were putting out. 😂 Powerful song. Powerful group. Powerful reaction. 🙌
Thank you for reacting to Voctave! 😍🤗 Tiffany singing "Many nights we prayed" did the lead vocal on their cover of "Impossible Dream" it is spectacular!!

CHECK OUT… IMPOSSIBLE DREAM and OH HOLY NIGHT by Voctave ! Tiff sings lead on both and will absolutely blow your mind and bring you to tears if your not careful 🥺💜💜💜
Hey man, really nice work. Great analysis. I'm late to the party, so I'm sure people have told you this, but the section in When You Believe is done in Hebrew. Just wanted to drop a comment and compliment your work. I love what you said about how "ooo's" are more narrow and pointed and how "ahhh's" fill more space. Really great observation and you put it in really simple terms. Great teaching moment. Really well done overall. Thank you.
Hey man GREAT reaction! I can’t help but think I may have influenced your watching of this lol but anyways this was such an intricate and well-informed breakdown of the musical themes, meanings, and vocal arrangement. As always, educated and entertaining content. Keep up the good work!
This is great! You’ve made the comment before that one should listen with their eyes closed. This is a perfect example of why!! Every single time, I hear something I didn’t hear before. Voctave is more of a vocal ochestra than a choir. They really do sound like a full orchestra, filling all the space around and behind the lead. Also Sarah Harmonizing with Tiffany…
This medley gives me the tingles in the back of my head and neck. Doesn't Kate sound like a theremin at the beginning? Also, if you want to hear Tiffany Coburn at her best, check out their O Holy Night.
Super powerful music. At times it got me in the feels. Nothing like the fullness of Voctave. Kate's high whistle tone, and the strong bass notes on both ends of the vocal spectrum has me with goosebumps. Loved the movie, but the soundtrack adds so much more to it. Strong reaction to it. Loved the interviews last night. Keep it up DJ !
Voctave’s arrangement of this is, in my opinion, the best out there hands down. Great reaction! If you would like (reaction would be awesome, too), the next best Prince Of Egypt arrangement would be any of Sam Robson’s work. My favorite is his “Deliver Us” piece. His editing alone is worthy of a reaction! (His voice is amazing, too, of course). I bet your fanbase would dig it as much as you. Cheers!
