I went from a Spektrum DX3R to a DX5R because I love my 3R but it began to malfunction. The 5R was okay but it "felt" like a downgrade from a 3R, just never felt right and less connected to the car. I sold it and went for broke on the Futaba 7PXR. Absolutely love it. It's so comfortable and easy to use, plus I feel super connected to my cars. I'll be using this one for a long time to come. Love it so much that I upgraded my son to a used 4PX and he loves it too.
I just switched from my spektrum to the 7pxr . I'm so happy I got it. It's super fast and does so much . You will never look back after getting it. It's worth every penny. #teamfutaba
I’m surprised you didn’t have two of these already!
Great Radio ...You can even add your car pic or logo to the home screen
I won't argue which one is better, kind of irrelevant at this level - both Futaba and Sanwa build great radios! Me, I have always found the Futaba more intuitive and easier to program and it feels great in the hand. Honestly though, can't go wrong either way!
I think they're both great but I have an m17 and I love it
Great video, Looks clean!! I’ve been using the first 7PXR and I love it
Thanks for the shoutout, great video as always. Enjoy the remote!
Thanks you sir! I added a link to your site in the description ;)
Be nice to hear your opinion on the differences or similarities between the two 👏👍
I feel it's the best out. I have a 7px an love it. I've ran spek for alot of yrs. And this radio blows all them away! Isn't many things you cant do with it. An I'm learning all the time what else it can do.
Other than turn left/right. go forward, stop and reverse, what more do you really need it to do?
@@Blueknight1960 LoL are you trolling? So many things like advanced mixing options, expo curves, step division settings for the trigger, and countless others.
Now you can browse the internet for that part you need when you crash while simultaneously being on the phone with whom you may chose lol
😆 I was thinking the same thing...like man that's the price of a decent cell phone
i just bought one, hooked up my mini z’s to them and so easy to bind! love the videos bro, keep it up
Hi i was worried it didnt work with mini z and i had to buy the T4pm plus. But what receiver do i need for a stock mini z?
I’d like for you to check out the noble nb4 if you haven’t yet. Curious to see or hear your opinion on it. Thanks
Still loving my 7pxr❤
Time to get a HPS-CB700 for your e-truggy
I literally can't stop watching MSM videos
Mark i love your channel tremendously,i just purchased my Futaba 7pxr Usle, should be recieving it fed ex next thursday cant wait!! nice exciting video way to go!!
Yes I brought the flysky noble nb4 and it’s amazing
I like your review. I am sure it's a the best or one of the best, but very expensive for most of us. I would respectfully suggest that you find the best inexpensive remote.
Dumbo radio
Yeah he should check flysky noble nb4
I'd recommend the Futaba T3PV for a damn good surface radio. It's cheap, it's fast, it's comfortable and it's less than $150.
Just got mine today and my oh my oh my🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
Would love to see how it compares to the flysky noble nb4
Have a good week stay safe and healthy
Noble N4 will be on a par to that. Both will have pro, s and cons. The Noble has better build materials for sure, Futaba just love that cheap plastic.
For the same money (if one shops around), I could get four good radios ( some packaged with 1 or more receiver(s) ) that allows me multi uses from competitive and casual track racing, bashing, speed-running: Flysky NB4 and FS-GT5, Sanwa MT-S, Radiolink RC6GS (just one possible combo for the same or less money). Ideal situation is we like to have them all, even the absolute best, but some people like myself prefer to spread mulitple but limited eggs across multiple baskets.
None of them will feel as good as the Futaba, I'd say. Also, I think you could do everything you list well with a single Futaba.
You also will have a whole bunch of radios doing what 1 good radio will do not to mention the multiple model memory of the higher end radio. But hey to each their own
@@brandom198823
Best of luck to you then when that single point of failure occurs.
@@SengLeeKoh you can back up all the settings easily with the Futaba on an SD card+computer and be back in action the second you're back from the shop. Also, higher-end stuff is higher build-quality, and fails less. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts with most high-end gear. That's the idea, anyway.
Laughs in M-17.
You also mentioned cheaper receivers. That's a myth. Sanwa SSR and SXR are supported on all of their receivers. The high speed response modes on Futaba are only supported on the top end Futaba receivers, and they are more expensive than the Sanwa options. And there are multiple SSR/SXR compatible servos, where Futaba SR/S.Bus is only available on Futaba servos. The cost breakdown of compatibility makes the argument that Futaba is cheaper, fall apart. Cheaper yes, but only if you accept you will have an inferior experience.
Facts
Got mine last week and it's EPIC
They both have advantages for sure, especially when it comes to drag racing…
This Radio is Amazing!
Hey mark where did u get that Aluminum pit rack a your lights are attached to
Hai bro. I only used sanwa. Is okey for me. How are u bro i hope u okey and happy Nice Day. #from malaysia 😊
I was going to get that exact radio just a week ago yet already ran sanwa m12 so I already had a bunch of 482's so just made since to go m17 love it yet have not got to drive yet very light and comfortable compared to m12
Once you enable SSR and SXR mode on Sanwa and compatible programmable servos that have an SSR/SXR modes, nothing from Futaba feels as fast or as connected.
Sadly, most people don't know about SSR/SXR mode. Which is a shame, and a total waste.
I know my buddy who has one just had to send it in for service because the touch screen stopped working except for like the very bottom section of it
That radio is awesome I have the 7px
same.. i have no needs to get the 7pxr
I'll keep my Sanwa M17 with wireless charging
And the best budget money can buy and value compared to this is Flysky noble nb4
Wait...what? I thought nb4 was high end! Its so much money and works SO well...for me anyhow... I was really proud when I finally got it, saved up for months... dunno what makes the futaba or Sanwa so much better... :(
@@NeoIsrafil Indeed NB4 is not cheap but compared to the one in the video it costs like 20-25% of price.
I bought my NB4 for £160 and the futaba is maybe £550-600??
How does the touch screen work??
So sweet looking. Need to do a video on Remotes for Best to Worst. Hopefully you haven't did one already.
No cheaper options that can compare to the futaba ?
I have those stickers from Wicked Weekend 😁
Those are nice radio
Was that a EMD shock to disable your competitors when the camera glitches? Wew fancy!
Lol
Ha, thought it’s my fire TV Stick
But I have the best you can get and it is the Spektrum DX6R only two of mine are not on it one is my UDR it is still on the TRAXXAS transmitter, the other is my 30 degree's North Super Desert Truck similar to the Super Baja Rey by LOSI I still need to get myself one of these to see which is better ?.
I have one Futaba a eight channel stick radio but it has a Spektrum module in it. I have a few other Spektrum along with a couple of ABSIMA touch screen radios gathering dust somewhere.
Nice 👍🏼 I got mine 3 days after it was available on amain but I still haven’t ran it lol!
Other than looks, is there any REAL differences between the 7PXR/7PXR-USLE, and the regular/original 7PX ??? I mean, other than the CF look of the 7PXR LE, or the "flag" of the 7PXR USLE, or the 'R' added to the on-screen logo when it's first turned on, it seems identical to the (now "discontinued") 7PX.
Other than that, Mark, you're gonna love it. I've had my 7PX for a lil over 3.5 years, and I use it with almost everything...from my off-road race vehicles, to my bashers; from my crawlers, to my FE boats. You can even use it for tanks (there's "tank mixing" in the menu system), of you ever decide to get/build one. Enjoy !!!
And then, two weeks later, Futaba teases a new T10PX surface transmitter.
It has Netflix but no battery tray? I'm confused
But the T10px will be out any day now
Very nice transmitter too pricey for my budget at this point.
Cool radio
Might be a stupid question : can you use this radio for the Tamiya RC trucks or tanks ? Great video and I like the radio a lot 😊
Yes you can, but the receiver needed will be a better question! How many channels you need is the big question? Pistol transmitters like this one has the least channels.
Good evening brother
Nice review
How do you record from above at your desk?
Great video
Wait a minute, is that X rated movie music I hear in the background? Just how close to your radios are you?
I’ve been looking at switching to futaba from sanwa. Are you going to be doing a follow up review after you have used it a couple times?
Yup… using it tomorrow to do some clubbin. I’ll post one of my races with some feedback tuesday ;)
Futaba or Sanwa is the same argument as Android vs iOS 🤷♂️ once you choose a system it’s difficult to change especially if you have a bunch of cars but going from an M12 to M17 is probably about the same as switching to that Futaba since you would be buying all new receivers anyway vs If I upgraded from my MT44 to a M12 it’s only a different radio and they use all the same receivers.
I’m pretty sure the M17 is still faster or equivalent I do believe it’s faster than your M12S.
One of the most important thighs especially with a high end radio is how does it feel in hand? For Nitro & Gas guys can you comfortably hold on to it for a 30-40min main? is the spring tension still to tight or loose at maximum adjustment. I own a Spectrum DX5C for non race stuff I hate the feel of the radio only reason I run it 2ch receivers start at $30 and I own a lot of non race RC cars it was about a $120 computer radio so if I fall off a cliff while running my SCX10 and smash my DX5C it’s not as big a deal as if it were my MT44 race radio and it’s being used in vehicles where a faster response time really wouldn’t be noticed
I believe m17 is lighter so your hand won't get sore after a while
can you run that remote for a stock car
I can't wait til they have force feedback like video games! You heard it hear first! Your welcome pay me!
Your a damn Prophet! I believe it!
@@tenncutt yup I just invented it. I hook u up for being a witness. 😆🤑...frfr ill try
@@ChiefRickyRC dont forget me! I want a test unit for sure. You should patent it and sell it to Traxxas!
@@tenncutt gotchu
@@tenncutt i don't think it will be that hard since the gyros in the recievers work on point so well. Just have to create some more codes hopefully be able to use any old electronics just have this built into the receiver and transmitter. What u think?
What are the main difference in the receiver besides the antenna and price
Not sure… still new to the futaba tech ;)
The receivers ending in "E" have a short antenna . Futaba only designed these for electric cars. If your running , Nitro , Gas , or a Boat I would run the non E .recievers. range is main difference but also there is some with gold pins and some with silver cad pins .
I like it
7 channel radio but no 7 channel recievers? What's the deal with that?
Great radio for racing...Don't stop racing until Evan is faster than you. I think it would be better memories competing against dad.
Now will you buy this if you are just a basher not a racer.
COOL. DONT DROP IT
Is there gold in that remote? Hahaha 🤣
😁
🔥💕😍👍
I have the cheaper 7tp
I picked up the regular 7PXR. I wasn't a fan of the graphics. Looks corny imo
First also I care
Most expensive does not mean 'best.'
Of course it's futaba. Lol
😁😉
It may be better than the M12s, but not the M17. It’s faster than that futaba. But yes, it will be better than the 12s.
First 😁
