@@AlexanderLaurence I need to figure out how to get performances off my VHS tapes and digitize them. I have dozens of performances since I was so into indie music in the early 00s.
I know what you mean. But they like their status and where there are now and have been. But it’s by design. Around the time their 1st album came out. Karson O, turned down a “Vanity Fair” feature because they only wanted to talk to Karen.
WHATTTTT??!!! They’re f amazing. The first album is hard, fast, powerful. The next 2 albums are more “studio polished,” but definitely great in their own right. Mosquito was a bit weaker than the rest. Cool it Down (2022) seems more a return to their earlier powers. Also, their EPs are amazing, with work YOU WILL NOT FIND on the albums. Enjoy!!

Also, don’t miss out on Karen O’s side/solo projects. She dropped a terrific album with Danger Mouse “Lux Prima” in 2019, did the soundtrack for “Where the Wild Things Are” and various other tracks with other artists. Karen O/YYYs is the best thing to come out of Brooklyn in the last 30 years
Lol he hangs onto her hand uncomfortably long in the Sacrilege performance (I guess that's what it's called). I actually watched this video to see how he handled the situation years prior lol
México needs new music like this, USA needs new music like this, America & the world need it !!!!!
I remember seeing this on TV! I knew i didn’t imagine it 😂
Yeah I found it on a VHS tape from 2003. Letterman Show doesn't have up all the old videos.

Thank you! Can't believe how hard it was to find this recording... wtf!
Worth the search for sure
They deserve so much more commercial success. I like to think they don’t want that but they’re so amazing 💕
They are doing fine!
But they are QUITE “commercially successful.” Wdym??

I'm not a woke/snowflake but jesus this was indeed creepy
Yeah and now we have 20/20 hindsight with Letterman's infidelity stories and then the way he handled a bunch of other female guests over the years
He wanted to drag her back stage
Letterman was definitely digging Karen O lmao
I was tugging
He always did.
Network TV debut?
American. Yup. I watched it live.
