McDonald's Original Happy Disc [NTSC-J] [SCPM-85101]
Sometime in 2001 Sony teamed up with McDonalds for a unique promotion, the McDonald’s Original Happy Disc. The PlayStation 2 game contains demos of PaRappa the Rapper 2 and Piposaru 2001 processed with additional hamburgers. Piposaru 2001 probably needs some explanation since it was never released outside of Japan. The title is an entry in the Ape Escape series, but you don’t catch monkeys. Jimmy (aka Hikaru) doesn’t have to catch the monkeys. After saving the world from a simian invasion he is reduced to washing their pants. Now For Me To Explain PaRappa The Rapper 2. So In The Demo Since Its From PlayStation And McDonald's And its A Promotional Disc People Would Win The PaRappa the Rapper 2 Demo Has McDonald's References In It. So Its Pretty Much PaRappa Works At McDonald's. Its Just like PaRappa The Rapper 2 Except A Few Differences. Like Japanese Text (Of Course) And The. Cool,Good,Bad,Awful Meter With Its Generic Font And The Meters On The Bottom Have Minor Changes Including The Score Meter And, As Mentioned Earlier The McDonald's Logo Everywhere But Lets Not Forget The Placement Of The Buttons! They're Are Other Beta Hat Difficulties And Other Rall Alot Of Other Changes Also Its Cuts Off The Final Lesson In The Demo. I Heard That It Has Something To Do With The "Wine" Change. But I Don't Understand That Because In Japanese Version Don't They Still Have The "Wine" Part? I Can't Remember Anyway This Description Is Too Long I'm Gonna End It Right Here.
If parappa actually will work at mcdonalds then ill go there everyday
@ISTRAZITELJI Pejicic bruh
You know, I imagine this being an english version of this disc being played in one of those Game Kiosks inside the McDonalds restaurants, only with a few key differences:
1: Parappa the Rappa 2's game has the different hat levels of difficulty
2: Ape Escape 2001 is replaced by Crash Bandicoot the Wrath of Cortex [with including the platforming stage "Wizards & Lizards", the ball stage "Bamboozled", and the Jeep racing stage "Smokey & the Bandicoot" as demo stages with Time Trial option available]
3: Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 is added to game lineup (with Career mode levels of Foundry, Suburbia, & Airport) (also Crash & Pro Skater will also have McDonalds brand advertising in the games like in Parappa)
4: The Disc will have High Scores listings so kids can list their scores for all the other players to see
Jesus Christ, there are McDonald's logos fucking everywhere in this disc!!!
I KNOW RIGHT THEY ANNOY ME
@@RydRyd66 Nah that's like one of the most interesting parts.
2020: New Happy Disc contains Half-Life 3 demo
And Minecraft 2 demo
Funny thing is after you complete this demo of parappa 2 a blue screen appears to say
And that means in English
The McDonald's store that appears in this software is a fictitious store that was drawn according to the game image. Please note that the cooking method and cooking utensils are different from those in the actual shop.
Isn't It A Coincidence That These 2 Were In This Disc AND They Were The So Called Rivals In The PS3 PlayStation All Stars?
I didn't realize that thanks 🙂
1:27 loving the new parrapa has a seizure live on camera dlc
The thing that I like about this is that I’ve played Parappa a lot on my channel, so McDonalds is a Top 3 restaurant for me. I’ve never played a lot of Ape Escape, but I do get the gist of it on the “How to Play” button, and it’s one step closer to learning Japanese. The problem is that the PS2 game is region locked for Japan only, even though it’s NTSC and the Ape Escape video takes place in New York City where I live. This is why emulators are a thing
_my buns are very toasty_
Prodect placement it's all they had in mind if you test this well too bad
*C L U B P E N G U I N*
I would kill for a mod to change the textures to these textures ( I'm talking about the PaRappa demo)
My first time playing ape escape and i think I didn't do half bad!
My favorite is Parappa the rapper

It is funny thing beard burger turn into a McDonald's
5:06 MISTY IS DAT U
Game is surely a ps2 hidden gem like McDycks secret sauce but unfortunately game is buggy because I still miss the Arch Deluxe so much and you can't make an A.Deluxe in this game boo
how do you even unlock ape escape 2 and the japanese ads??? ive played PTR2's demo a lot of times, even getting really good scores and its still locked. i cant understand how they want you to unlock the rest of the demo
im emulating this btw
are you and i playing the same demo cuz this is the mcdonalds one and none of them are meant to be locked lol
@@RydRyd66 yeah mine looks and plays just like this one, and despite me beatinf the parappa demo, i cant click on ape escape or the promo. maybe mine is corrupted or something?? can i send you the copy of it, see if you know whats going on, or is that too much?
