TRT is genuinely my fav series atm.
Mine too
You know it's Thursday when Nick releases TRT
Yesss dude I've been saying this for years
so real man
Yes.
Periphery drum n bass + Monuments guitar = straight 🔥
I can't state enough how much watching this series has improved my approach to recording and composing.
Eye-opening and entertaining as always, thank you so much, Nick!
Thanks so much!! That’s so amazing to hear. Comments like this encourage me so much to continue making these videos!
I’m getting mad Polaris vibes. Love this series!
frrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
well said!
Came for the thickness, stayed for the guest spot from Remy! 🦮🎵🎶🎹
Sounds like old Thornhill, hell yeah brother!
putting the higher octave riff into it made it sound like a Caliguilas Horse riff, and its rad asf
One of your best riffs tbh
I’ve been on a huge Monuments kick for the past couple months, and this riff is giving me life.
If the chair is good enough for Nick Broomhall, the chair is good enough for me... Sick riff today👌
That riff got me all like: 🕺🦖.
That bass tone:- "Doom Guy enters the chat"
Yes! “NICE” is back!!!
This is becoming my fav series on YT right now.
Big monuments vibes in this as you said, getting big chorus vibes when you move down to the lower chords.
Came for Nolly demo, subbed for Bengals hat. WHODEY
hi Nick.. you have now tested both... Submission audio and Nolly Bass .... which library do you think is better?
All of them are awesome, you won’t go wrong with any of them.
Just keep in mind the dynamic and phrasing capabilities the one you’re looking at has, per to your use and needs.
Down to earth, realistic, relatable, and incredibly talented. Love your content bro! Thanks for posting these TRT. They help me remember you don’t have to overcomplicate things to achieve a great song. Cheers from Oklahoma!
Thanks so much for the kind words! 🙏 Cheers!
Loving the Monuments vibe on this one!
Dude your music and style of making videos is so refreshing and just dope. Im 💯 addicted to your latest album and this concept of makin short and catchy tracks perfectly fits the times we’re living in right now. Id definitely like a video about your life and musical history too.
Best guitar/production teacher on the tube!
I live for thick riff thursdays
I can’t get enough, can we have Ambient Melody Monday?
So sick. My limititstions with midi like this is what keeps me from jumping on this. Sounds huge
TRT but take a shot every time you involentarily say "nice"
☠️
Damn that hit so hard when you added the kicker
Only 26 rounds of TRT and my gains are through the roof.
massive monuments vibes
Never really got excited for a UA-cam notif before. Sick riff today 🔥
Love these videos! Thank you!
Nick, you make quality production look so attainable. Great stuff.
Such catchy riffs dude... You've been inspiring as heck to me here recently. 🤟😁
This riffs are insane man, congrats for the chops and waiting for more content!
I absolutely love these videos man
this is super bangin!!!
Lokey Monuments should hire u
@4:28 I literally made the exact same face after hearing that one lol
KILLER! Learning workflow tips AND production ideas from ya! LOVE this @NickBroomhall 🤘
Amazing to hear!!
This is probably the best riff he’s put out and I wish this was a full song
Thank you 🙏 This'll go into the riff bank and you know never know, could turn into a full song someday 👀
Full instrumental album please.
This series is actually gold. Very interesting to watch the progress of the writing process and production and how it develops/changes through the various stages. Also the riffs are great too which helps.
So inspiring, bro. Keep this series forever, please! 🥲
this is your best riff!!!! Sounds huuuuge.
Daaaym son! You should have far more subs and views.
that smile after the bassline played, did the same bro
those leads are beautiful, nice riff!!!
Good shit
4:28 the look of pure joy
If only the "NollyBook Pro" was a thing.
Awesome video, per usual, Nick! 😃
Hahah thanks so much man!
This is awesome dude!
Thanks so much, Joe!
Yeah the riff is nice but yooo that chair 🪑
cant wait to buy my own nollybook pro. will only cost me my entire wallet, and all my fingers
awesome demo dude it does sound like monuments sick work 👍
Found your channel. subbed. great vid.
Love the videos! I remember jamming with you in Cincy through some past bands. Who Dey!
Ayyy the good old days 🙌 who dey! 🐅
Killer, man!
I've been waiting since last Thursday
DUDE NICE
If you’re ever looking for ideas, I think it’d be really fun to see you try creating a midwest emo/math rocky song. The awesome tones and technical style would mix great with your style of playing. I want to see what kind of atmosphere you’d create.
Not too familiar playing those styles so that could be interesting!
you crack me up but I love your playing my guy good job keep it up
nollybook pro lmao. probably gonna pick this up later this week. love your thick riff thursday’s nick! 💚
Hahah thanks Pierce!
fucking awesome
Hope you got the faux-IG profile account thing sorted out man! Love watching your process and workflow - I've adapted a few "how would Nick approach this" processes when I sit down and work on my own stuff, so not only are these enjoyable from an entertainment standpoint, they're educational as well. Thanks again! - The Creeping Thing 🤘
The imposter seems to have been taken care of for now 😤 And that’s amazing to hear!! So glad these videos can help you in your own workflow 🙏
@@nickbroomhallmusic You bet! Thanks for the lessons and looking forward to many more!
Dear lord what a BANGER
Thanks so much!! 🙏
First time watching. Great video, dude! If I wasn't going to get this bass library before, I am now lol
Right, a hiplet
Waiting for Archetype: Plini X
I just bought this but kinda disappointed I didn't go with Djinbass 2, I really want that slap articulation
doggo said let me layed down some vocals
He's got a mean guttural when someone he doesn't know rings our doorbell
Oh! I've been waiting 4 this!
Btw is that Archetype Nolly tone on the guitar? Sounds Nasty!!
Thank you! Yes I am!
Nice riff! I was debating getting this as I already have Djinnbass. This has some things I want like force string and better tone controls...but is lacking other things like tuning and _hammer on and pull off articulations??_ I really want to buy it, but thats kinda important imo.
This sounds massive dude! Would love to see a tutorial on how you built your template. I would pay for it! (Am a reaper user so the logic templates are no dice for me 😢)
Could be a cool Tutorial Tuesday video!
great as always. The dog really made this video special)) what software do you use for screen recording? Thanks!
gnarly riffs as always, i’m gonna have to get this library
i keep forgetting to ask, what’s the key command to tap tempo in? it would make my life so much easier 😂
Thanks! I have it set to cmd + T. But you can set it as whatever you like in your key command settings!
imagine society without halftime. im sad now. good vid as always!
also, i always anticipate the heavy outro vid. please come back! ☺️
That Nolly library is fireee, my Niiiib!
I loved the Rammy's feature in the video, so sweet! Hahaha
PLEASE, MY DEAR VIEWERS:
Instead of unsubscribing from Nib's channel due to camera deaths, consider to be a channel member so Nib can get a better battery for his camera, it's so cheap to become a member and you also helps Nib improving his work here on UA-cam! Cheers and happy TRT! 🖤
Hahah thanks Cauã! Worry not, I have a dummy battery on the way. Kept forgetting to order one but this week's episode reminded me 😂
@@nickbroomhallmusic hahah that's a good news my dudee, but it's also good to folks know that you have a membership subscription, wish only the best for you and that you can be a monster reference in the world of music production! 🖤
WOW! what is the signal chain of your guitar? Thanks!
Such a satisfying riff!
My dog is called Remy as well haha
Great choice 🐁
that moment starting at 4:20 😅
I really wish I had the time to learn how to program drums and bass like this. I can handle using neural DSP but that’s about it for this dummy 😂
This sounds awesome! What drum kit are you using?
Sick riffs
Where’d you get that chair though? 😂
How adding Final Song Friday once a month? Would love to see these riffs get made into full on bangers.
Your guitar tone is gnarly! what are you using?
Thanks!! Using Archetype Nolly!
What camera do you film your content with man? Super clear 👌
Thanks! It's the Panasonic Lumix G85!
I want to see you try to write something in the style of loathe I feel like you could pull it off really well
Is there a setting that lets you record the drum cymbals after the snare and kick? I swear when I’ve tried in the past it just writes over what is done first time.
Should be in your preferences or project settings under the midi tab! There are a few different options for what it’ll do when you’re recording over
Cool but Djinn and Umansky aaand Odeholm Nuclear bass already did the dingwall so good. Market is now over saturated with dingwalls lol.
Everybody wants the Dwall
Monuments type beat
Intro starts playing: Tool entered the conversation.
Totally got Tool vibes from that intro bass!
Lol @ cpu overload. So stupid but I laughed.
I love thick riff thursday even though I dont like this kind of melodic metalcore at all :-) You should try making some beatdown like knocked loose or khublai khan :-D
Thanks so much!! Never really made anything like that before. I was in a deathcore band in high school but that’s about it 😅
would be interesting to compare this to Loki and Djinn
I downloaded the presets. How and will they work in Studio One?
The Archetype Nolly presets? You should just be able to drop them in the NDSP Nolly presets folder and they’ll show up in the plugin!
Is there a way you could help walk me through that process? I just started downloading my daw and Everything else yesterday. So I’m brand new to all of this stuff. Haha
As a metalhead I can't stand Djent but I gotta admit the bass tone is great. Reminds me of early Danny Lilker stuff. Maybe 2 basses instead of 8-string guitars is the move? It's not like Djent has double bass drumming so there is no competition in the low end really. If you just shift the basses mids to 1k or 750k problem solved with the kicks top end on 2k.
You should check out The Omnific!
That riff is just 🤌 specially with the bass behind it. What’s are the drums?? That snare is crisp
GGD PV library
@@omyneljust noticed rewatching. Thanks for looking out fam
What drum library do you use, it sounds huge?
Thanks! It's GGDs PV kit
can you make slides articulation with this library?
yes there is a slide keyswitch!
Can you change the tuning of the bass?
nick: Force string???!! I think not
What is NollyBook Pro?
hi nick
👋
