Join us on our travels! About this episode:
We are leaving #vanlife behind for a little while whilst we head out to the stunning state of Texas USA! We head off to Heathrow where we jump on 🛫 ‪@virginatlantic‬ to Austin, Texas (this is a relatively new route for Virgin Atlantic).
We land in Austin, Texas after a 10 hour flight we get a very warm welcome from the ground crew in Austin and we then head over to Alamo to pick up our Audi A5 convertible for our road trip round Texas. We head to Bastrop town for something to eat (Neighbors Bar and Kitchen) and what a beautiful place this little town just outside Austin is! The following morning we head back into Bastrop for breakfast in Maxine'.
We get on the road to Houston and we stop off at the smallest active catholic church in the world! But first ice cream at Bluebells Creamery before arriving in Houston. We arrive at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston around lunchtime where we get to see some amazing space artefacts and even get to walk through the Boeing 747 that carried the shuttles 😱. We continue our tour around the space centre and even get to see where the astronauts train for staying on the ISS.
