- No, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are not a government psy-op. But Shaun Raviv from "Sports Explains the World" joins us to tell the story of a sports figure who actually was: The CIA sent Jay Mullen to Uganda, undercover, in the 1970s. His job was to spy on the Soviet Union. But when one of the most notorious dictators in world history made Mullen the head coach of the Ugandan national basketball team, a different mission presented itself. So did The Russian Hulk.

The trembling in his wife's voice at the end was heartbreaking
That’s love. Thought it was beautiful.
the ending was so beautiful
“He was himself, always”
This was a great story, not me being invested and tearing up at work by the end
yea I felt like tearing up too hahahaha
What a beautiful ending to another amazing episode. Great work y'all!
Another banger episode. Much as I find national intelligence agencies utterly abhorrent by their very nature, I can't say no to a good spy thriller, fictional or real. And at least the hero of our story seemed to be a competent, capable force for small-scale good in his capacity as an agent of an inherently evil, wildly (self-)destructive organization. Also, while Mr. Mullen might not have been much of a dancer, it seems he had a very nice singing voice.
I've been betting the money line on "use gas bag magic" every episode. I'm bound to hit one of these days....
Tears, chills with that song- omg you did it again Pablo! ❤ 👏👏👏👏👏
Salute to whomever at PTFO that came up with the episode title for the Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy movie reference. A solid movie.
Another fabulous episode
Wow dude was a legend. He lived one hell of a life. Great job Pablo
Always great to see that blue cardigan is still going strong💙 it's gotten a lot of use
I like every episode of the show and this is by far my favorite 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Another great show. This one hits home. My uncle was in Uganda during this time and was forced to leave. Still carries the trauma of being forced to leave the home he knew.

Where's this movie at? The last king of Scotland was good, but I'd be interested to see a movie of this story

Why all these stories end in death 😭. Beautiful message from Mrs. Mullen at the end tho.
Great story!
Cortez talking about punchable faces is ironic
