14 years later, this is still just too damn good for words. Unless you have seriously practiced classical guitar at a high level, you can never really understand just how freakishly great this guy is.
This is beyond belief!!!! Great and rare in any artistry! this is not about Bach, it's about Krivi(his nickname) I was lucky to be judging him in a competition many years ago, he was a kid and equally amazing guitarist
Anyone who puts this guy down is simply showing their ignorance and/or jealosy. The guy is beyond great. His musicality is spot on. And for those who think he plays it too fast, go look up the definition of allegro. Amazingly beautiful masterful.
How could you even think of putting this guy down. That was his interpretation at that time. It was more than great. Who are you comparing him to? Unless you're aware of some guitar god somewhere. Not everything has to be criticized. Learn to enjoy greatness without searching so hard for fault.
omg. what great interpretation! it's incredible how someone could play at that speed, with such a small number of mistakes (you got to admit it, it's more than likely to make a mistake in this kind of piece).
All depends on whose treaties you're reading to make that kind of statement. In regards to being too fast... it's an Allegro movement... that's supposed to be fast.
I have seen him play as well, purely amazing and inspiring. I like this rendition more so than the Pirai simply for the way Goran places his accents gives the piece in my ear, more motion and more than likely more what Bach might have intended. Just my thoughts.
bravo bravo bravo sometime the speed in itself is a beauty, and it is mistake to say that he has no musicality: the fraseggio is there, many ideas, good ideas too i'm sure that this piece can be played in ten other ways, but this way is fantastic!
I'm not a fan of fast players, but Goran is one exception i'll make (other than flamenco players). He actually DOES have quite a bit of musicality in his playing, although its hard to here in this piece due to its allegro assai speed.
Dont be ridiculous. Just because its baroque doesnt mean that its not romantic music. Romantic is just a name given by us to a period of music in the past, it doesnt mean that all other music outside of the period cant be romantic, and therefore you cant take time or use rubato if its not during the romantic period. I know heavy rubato in this kind of music can be over the top, but no way is his rubato over the top.
It's not even the speed that impresses me about Goran, Obviously Fisk is fast but not near as impressive. Goran doesn't approach this as a typical guitar piece. He has a way of blending the notes in a certain fashion thats incredibly difficult for a guitarist to do. His dynamics are very skilled as well.
Wow! Never heard this played so fast on guitar. Amazing technique. But music is compromised by speed which is not stable either. Technique should serve musicality, not the other way around. Still though, a very good effort.
This is too fast for me and that's why he is having unnecessary pauses. A tad slower would be much better. He is musically very good and no questioning on his talent. But overall I will listen to Barrueco's playing of this piece now. Its the way it should be imho.
wow what he lacks in musicality he makes up in doing the impossible by playing this music on guitar which is not as agile as a violin. You cannot be musical when you are working your butt off playing music at this speed. Speed is the enemy of musicality in the words of the great Emilio Pujol
The guy is obviously a master and I love his playing. However, i just cant get into this, enjoy it, or appreciate it when it is played this fast. It seems like a circus act to me

That is probably the most amazing left hand I've ever seen! Incredible work!

Amazingly beautiful masterful.
bravissimo Goran!!
Freak of nature. combined with very hard work im sure. Stunning...
This version is not edited. It's his own version based on the original score. But there are other versions edited which you can buy.
holy crap, that was godly!
Awesome. Very crisp, lively and masterful.
This dude looks like he practices a lot. Right hand way more still than most guitarists. Good work!
This guy is simply amazing
I can only dream of playing this great.Bravo!
Amazing technique! very nice!

This is the correct style, "allegro assai".
bravo bravo
good job...and a pleasure to listen tnx!!!

Bravo Goran
This is AT LEAST very interesting playing.
A lot of people would like to play this as fast as he does.
Fantastic in my opinion
I am so impressed! What a genius! Bravo Maestro!

Bach would be proud
noteworthy and remarkable this habit of his of only rarely looking at the fingerboard and instead bringing his left ear in a better hearing position.
Amazing!
bravo bravo bravo

i'm sure that this piece can be played in ten other ways, but this way is fantastic!

Awesome. Anyone putting him down - let's see your version!!!! :-)
Oh yes - that was a magic wonderful
I managed to find the baruecco edition as well as the violin score... different fingering and voicing with the bass notes...

Uma interpretação de alto nível.

Allegro Assai = Very Fast
Very happy but not very fast, that´s the difference
He play too fast that some time i heared sounds like violin. Amazing.
я бы сказал - ОКУИТЕЛЬНО!!!
@DaveKear Exactly! Go look up the definition of allegro, and unless you're in denial you'll see that he plays it way too fast.
yo quiero tocar esta pieza asi jaja
Goran, una domanda: come cazzo fai a suonare così?
sory, i from somalia.
or florida. screw typoes
can we see? can we see? how about II email you we can trade??
This is sort of "amphetamine" allegro...but impressive nevertheless.
Drivel!
Wow! Never heard this played so fast on guitar. Amazing technique. But music is compromised by speed which is not stable either. Technique should serve musicality, not the other way around. Still though, a very good effort.
Look for Bach Violin Sonata III Allegro Assai, same speed.
SHITTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!1
when did he win the gfa?i dont remember.
Yo prefiero la versión de Pirai
compare with ana vidovic...
Krivokapic is great
but
listen to gabriel biancos...
