Hi, thanks for your interest! The housing on both the M1’s and 7506’s is plastic. The M1’s are slightly lighter, but the L/R wiring is entirely inside the headband, as opposed to the partially exposed wiring on the 7506’s. I'd imagine they'd be metal at that price. Sony is not Beats and doesn't charge an insane amount for plastic junk. I'd still trust the legendary 7506s over them for long term until I get my hands on the M1s.
