Best review of Xsr 125, I’m pretty much sold on it now as I want to progress to own a xsr900. So the 125 is all I can legally ride until I get the full licence. I hope I enjoy the Xsr 125 to learn on. 👍
It sucks that we will never see this gorgeous bike in Canada. It's a bad mentality where bigger is better but that's a load of cow pucky! It sucks eggs big time. Smaller bikes for commuting and short trips can be fun as well. I owned a 125 cc when I used to live in Europe and loved it very much. I would snap one up no problem. I envy you guys a lot! 4:40 lane splitting is allowed but there are certain rules (between which lanes, max speed between you and the cars etc.). Not everyone follow those rules but anyway, you are allowed to split lanes.
I rode an r125 for about 9yrs from 2009, and it was great until I wore it out lol. Then I got a Mondial hps 125 because it looks gorgeous, the engine is good because it is the same as the Aprilia rs125, but the rest of the bike is nowhere near as good build quality as the yamaha. I just bought the xsr 125 because it has the yamaha quality and cool traditional styling, it's arriving in the middle of August, can't wait!
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I would have liked to know what the top speed was? Can it reach 100kph (the current speed limit on Dutch motorways during office hours)? 110 would be even better although I know it pushing what is possible from a 125 engine. I love the looks of the yellow colour scheme.
Reminds me of my first bike Yamaha RD250LC with the stripes on the tank and overall look - shame XRS125 is not a twin piped oil burner with a wicked power band or I'd be getting myself one today lol

I saw you in the thumbnail and was hoping to get a perspective from a shorter person but now that I look at you, you seem to be quite tall (can't really judge). Seat height doesn't tell everything because it also depends on how wide the seat/bike is.

@@forsaken7161 man, thank you so much!! I'm 167 as well. The thing with the seat height is that it's not the whole story, if the seat is wider or more narrow is also a factor. But it seems he can reach the ground pretty well, so I shouldn't have a problem.
There is a Compnay in the UK that makes a Kit that makes the XSR-900 to look like the Yamaha RZ-350 in USA was called the LC-350 or RD0350 in Europe...
I want the Thailand's XSR 155 in the United States so bad. I feel the bit bigger cc would help pull it away from the grom/monkey/z125 world and make it something unique (and there is just simply more engine with the 155).
probably people in the us and in europe prefer bigger bikes. so there is no market for them. in the us it seems like there is no restriction in license for bikes over 50cc? and in Europe we have restrictions by age and class. 16-18 is A1 with 125cc and 15hp max 18-20 is A2 with no cc limit but 48hp max and with 20/24 u can drive bikes without horsepower restriction. and there is not much difference between a 155 bike with 18.6 hp vs 125 bike with 15 hp. you could easily swap the 125 cylinder with a 150 cylinder and u would have the same. i hope yamaha will launch the xsr300 in the future.
i am from Chennai, India. Waiting for launch of this beautiful machine XSR 125 which is expected by Jan 2025 only here. [i am 59 and my first reliable beautiful bike was Yamaha RX 100 - a two stroke 98 cc engine which was purchased in 1990 at age 25 and used extensively with city & long drives [at a stretch 300 kms and never stranded on road]. i used that beautiful machine till 2002 since i purchased my first car Maruti-Suzuki Zen [1000 cc]. Afterwards, i used only cars due to heavy traffic in India. But now, my 20’s inner voice tells me to buy this XSR 125 beauty to ride sparingly on short and long drives upto 100 kms. i will surely buy one. In abroad £ 4500 works out to the price of 650 cc bikes in India currently. The expected price in India would be around £ 1800-2000 on road. That’s what the media is informing us. i think that’s why it is coming so late to our country. It’s a great value for money bike and i would keep it rest of my life and hand over to my grandsons/grand daughters at their teen age]…❤💖😉
300lbs. Nice. I wonder if it can be taken off road (not technical with jumps or anything like that) ... but like a scrambler. I have an adventure BWM 310GS, but it weights 375 lbs, a little too heavier for me when off roading.

If you want to get the B196 you have to be 25 years old and have been in possession of the class B for at least 5 years. You do not have to do a theoretical and practical test, but theoretical and practical training: 4 lessons of 90 minutes of class-specific-motorcycle-theoretical-lessons and 10 driving lessons with 45 minutes. You are allowed to drive with the B196 just in Germany not abroad. 16:20 I take now a couple of glasses at your suggestion, cheers🍻🍷😉! Tip: start learning counter stealing, also relax your arms totally and remember how people would use no hands on a push bike, counter steal to go right on a bend just push the right grip forward and the bike will lean itself and to go left do the same thing with the left grip, you can push it with you finger and thumb it will go round easy.

My CB125F could, and it had under 12bhp. The XSR, MT and R 125 should be good for that speed.
It is aprox 130kph, i own one and in good conditions i already reached like 125kph
