I didn't know until your review that the engine hoist fits into Bulstrode, that's actually pretty neat. I do see what you mean though about it getting boring pretty quickly, I think the Brendam docks destination tries to do too much and ultimately ends up feeling lackluster because of the boring cargo and cargo car. They should've given us a troublesome truck in this like they did with the Thomas wood playsets, that would've been a lot more interesting. Also, something I feel that is majorly lacking in that track pack is large curves, I hope they decide to produce them again sometime soon. Nice review, I really enjoyed it!

Though I have an avid obsession with the Thomas Wooden Railway line, I have very few actual official items. Mine are primarily customs made from cheaper brands.
This set looks alright even though I wish there’s more track in this set. And Cranky could be improved, but he’s ok as well. As for Bulstrode, he’s also alright although he kinda reminds me of the Wood version because his cab is way too small.
I respect your opinions, but for me, I’m planning to give this set a 7.5 out of 10 stars because I think it’s overall cool! Sure, there are some spots on Cranky that expose wood as well as Bulstrode’s face being too big, but I think I’ll enjoy this toy for what it is!
I wonder if Mattel will make more Thomas wooden railway 2022 stuff or maybe international engines like Yong bao or Ashima because they already made Kenji.
I already have a Cranky so at first I neglected the docks set but I honestly like some other things like the boat, the switching yard track piece thing, and the highlight for me, the engine carrier piece, so since Cranky can be screwed on and then removed, I could probably swap it with my old ( better ) Cranky and have the ultimate docks set, honestly I think the $50 price is worth it more for the docks set than the clickity-clack track set, but it’s still overpriced, maybe I’ll actually pay for the set or wait until I find some cheaper used listings on eBay, but honestly the track pack isn’t worth it, just get some other $50 el cheapo generic wooden train set and a couple of Thomas characters then your kid would have the ultimate Christmas imo
This was filmed before Wave 2, wasn't it Gael? The destinations are a step up from Wood, but they could've used this as part of a playset, to expand more track. Well, it's a 50/50 for engines and destinations. most of Knapford has that tacky slides gimmick with plastic Annie and Clarabel for them to slot into. Fortunately, we have McColl's Farm (a third playset, that includes Terence alongside Thomas and a chicken coop truck for a big barn landmark) Possibly is planned for 2023 as of now.
Is no one gonna mention that they brought back bulstrode we haven’t seen him since the model production ARE YOU KIDDING ME AND HES STILL NOT IN THE SHOW
