French Defense: Hanging Bishops Trap
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 сер 2022
- The Winawer Variation is one of the most common variations for black in the French Defense and if white isn't careful, they can find themselves with two hanging bishops.
This trap takes place in the Alkehine Gambit and shows what happens if white isn't familiar with the main lines.

Probably the best chess channel when learning theory and lines! Thank you for the insight!
You are too kind. Thanks for the kind words, Chris.
Very entertaining and informative. Like always.
Glad you enjoyed it
I often play the the French to the white king side pawn opening and this is really good. I had never seen this trap. Going to try and incorporate this into my next game
Wonderful 👍
Thanks Anthony.
Nice.
Thanks Glen.
Like or Dislike: Like. Thank you, this should prove useful in my #frenchdefense repertoire.
What is your favorite frenchdefense variation?
Pretty interesting! I like how the response to black moving the K to d5 is entirely of white's making. Wanting to not lose the bishop pair probably contributes to the quick decision to attack by moving the bishop to g5. Very nice!!
I agree. Fascinating to me.
very informative, might start picking up the French!
Nothing is more straightforward than the French Defense. It promises a pawn center and a reasonable game every time.
You should! Let me know how it goes.
Nice strategy
Thanks Okamisansempai

Awesome video, Kevin. I promise I won’t make fun of you this time.
