Amen I am not a fan of chrome and I also dont like the stripes maybe red stripes on black or matte black stripes on black but for the most part I prefer smooth clean stripeless with no chrome like the black gt here looks sick. I think racing stripes look a little boy racer but everyone likes diff stuff I understand they came on shelby but if I had the chance to buy one new I would have ordered it with stripe deletes just my .02

Hey Jacob, I installed the deck lid and there GT emblem a few weeks ago. But I have huge problems with the 3M tale. It doesn’t hold on the car.. I did it like 3 times with new tape, but it won’t hold :( did you clip the small taps in the back of the GT emblem completely? Or just a little bit? Much love from Germany 🇩🇪
If you have issues with your 3M tape sticking you either didn't clean it properly or it might have wax/ oil, something on the deck lid. Clean it with dawn dish soap, scrub really good, let dry, use alcohol. Maybe wipe it off like 2-3 times with the alcohol. Then your tape should have no problem sticking
Don’t know if you’ll see this but did you have to completely cut off the ends from the new GT emblem or just shaved them down? And if so how much did you shave them down

Hey bud I just put my new decklid on with the new GT emblem on but I’m noticing the top left of the decklid is starting to raise up. The adhesive is not sticking to the trunk. What should I use to make it stick back down?

AR3Z-6342528-F is the updated decklid from Ford and not a knockoff brand like this. Updated one has no gloss clearcoat to haze like originals.

Yeah it comes with sticky seal tape to seal it up in the Fred's Parts kit
That was my only concern I would of put a little primer on because it would be hidden and protected but its never to late 3m tape is easy to replace

If you have issues with your 3M tape sticking you either didn't clean it properly or it might have wax/ oil, something on the deck lid.
