Excuse my ignorance but is there a benefit to burying vs burning the wood pile, is it a wild fire prevention issue? I thought I’d seen you have a burn up previously?
burying old stumps and rocks is good because you can pretty much make a "borrow pit" pit like how theyre doing, you make a big pit, get the caliche out then backfill with trash trees and rocks concrete etc and then fill the hole back up, and you stay with some material . the only drawback is that the hole tends to settle a lot as the wood rots and you cant build on it for many many years.
