I love this theory, but I have another one! From the looks of the final picture of their father, it has a haircut that matches those in the military. So, what if their father is stationed at a base camp or (sadly) died in war? If you count when the trio was first introduced in 1937, that is right before WWII. And, Disney was HUGE on war propaganda, I mean Donald is even in the NAVY. Just a thought!

I get the Donald Duck comics every week and a few years ago, there was a special about Della. Della (who has been calling herself Dumbella from a certain age) was picked to go on a space mission, som she had to give Donald the care of her boys. During her space mission, she travels at the speed of light, so, at this point, just 15 minutes have passed for her, while 80 years have passed in Duckburg. This is why she hasn't taken back the boys yet. (This was in the Dutch version of Donald Duck, don't know how official it is...)
I've always imagine that Mrs. Beakley's son (if she had one) was huey, dewie, and louie's dad. Cause if Della and Mrs. Beakley's son grew up together. It'd make sense.
In the French version of the comic of 1937 it's said that both of their parents are dead. And the letter is written by Clarabelle Cow. Yes, my people are a bit savage.
I know them as Kwik, Kwek and Kwak. the fourth is moslty referred to as Kwok. Kids grow up know ducks say "Kwak" so thats probably why. Here, in the Netherlands, The Donald Duck is the most populair weekly magazine for kids, and also a lot of adult still read them.
I still think that the last name of 'Duck' within the context of this given as they are all ducks anyway, would equate to something along the lines of if a man and a woman married and both their last names were 'Smith'. No relation because its too common a name and the likely hood of two no related people with said name were to marry is not as low as may seem.
I think in the world of disney last names are commonly the species name so every duck's last name is Duck every mouse's last name is mouse, etc; with occasional exceptions
Looking at the picture of Huey, Dewey and Louie's father, it looks like he's somewhat muscular and has a crew cut. Knowing that Donald was a sailor, it's easy to believe that their father might also have been in the military and a friend of Donald's. That could be how the parents of "The Quack Pack" (QP) could have originally met, through Donald. That being said, the "...giant firecracker..." might have been a stick of dynamite that the QP THOUGHT was a firecracker and, being "...SO playful...", they might have been the ones to stick it under their father's chair as a "playful" prank on their father. Della might have called it a firecracker in case the QP read the note and didn't want them to know how serious the situation was. The father most likely died from the resulting "...explosion..." (notice she said exploded, which denotes extreme?). Della may have been so devastated from the death of her husband at the hands of her children that she might have considered them mentally ill and violent, prompting her to abandon them to the care of her brother Donald. She may have believed that she was too weak to handle such rambunctious boys, but Donald (being a sailor) would be able to care for them. Donald, realizing that she had now abandoned the QP, decided to adopt them legally. Della might come back some day, but Donald will likely not allow her to have anything to do with the boys who are now legally his children and not hers.
Here in holland, we got a special edition of the magazine. Della is gone because she is one a space mission. She doesnt age for a strange reason; time moves slower in space, according to"the quack pack". They had contact with her once but they lied to her. They said they werent her children, and she believed it. They did this because (quote): 'we love you more tan anyone in the world, uncle Donald.' Yep.... I know....
If they ever show us who Della Duck’s Husband and Huey Dewey and Louie’s father is and we see it, it would certainly solve the mystery and possibly rewrite history.
If you don't know Donald Has a grudge against Scrooge and it's most likely about their mother You hear them saying "it wasn't my fault about what happened" so most likely their mother died during one of their adventures
G.o.t theory... Donald is the dad (duck :)). Dumbella Duck discovered the origins of Donald a bit to late because of stupidity and skroutz`s hunger for treasures , after that she became an astronaut she didn't want to live in this world anymore. She will come back and by mistake again she will be sleeping with all three of her kids, she will be around the same age with them because of speed traveling.
Assuming that we're talking about the classic versions of the characters, we know Della is alive and on a space mission for Nasa whereas the father as been indefinitely hospitalized. We don't know his status in the new duck tales show
Atm, the canon answer (or at least in the Netherlands) is that Della is out in space as an astronaut, however the triplets thought she was dead, even calling themselves orphans. That was until they realised she was still alive. The father is definitely out of the picture. Don't know if he's dead or not but they called themselves orphans so...
Hold my Juicy Juice... In the episode before the QP's hatching scrooge got a rocket called "The spear of Selene" as a surprise but Della found out and went in it.at first things were dandy but then she got off course and crashed somewhere and has somehow survived and is somehow able to connect to the news and sees her children, mind you if you go VERY VERY fast you can slow down time where you are at.So to Della she left the day before they hatched and now they look 10 or 12 years old.
Donald duck was a WWII veteran. The photo in the family tree shows the quack pack's father with a clear high and tight military haircut. Perhaps their father had PTSD triggered from the firecracker under his chair and something bad happened. Dont know bout the mom. Meh, i tried.
I was watching an episode of Ducktales today and there was a flashback episode where Donald and Della went to live with Scrooge and the letter their mom sent Scrooge was nearly word for word the letter Della sent Donald in the introduction comic you mentioned in the video about Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Even the part about their father having a firecracker exploding under his chair and having to be hospitalized.
There is an (official) Dutch comic story that says Della is still alive. This is how the story goes: Della dropped the triplets off by Donald because she was going to space. With the speed of light, Della went to space. But, when you travel at the speed of light, you actually time travel. So, Della thinks she's only, like, 15 minutes in space while in reality she is gone for over 5(?) years. The triplets even had contact with their mother, but decided to lie about their names so Della wouldn't freak out. I can send some pictures if you want. EDIT: changed 'quack pack' to 'triplets'
Possible spoilers for Ducktales '17 ahead I think Ducktales '17 might be tweaking this. Scrooge and Donald both mentioned the incident with the "Spear of Selene". Selene is the Greek goddess who personifies the moon. I really think her death/disappearance/absence has to do with the moon/space with evidence being from the comic you mentioned and the "Spear of Selene". Also, she's dressed like a pilot when she's seen in Ducktales '17. Maybe this has something to do with how she was an astronaut in that Dutch comic.
Matthew Corbin Yeah, I just read the comic again and Donald even says that Della first wanted to be a pilot (and also made several flights as pilot) but later went into space and everything happened what I already mentioned. While reading it again I found out that Della thinks she's only 15 minutes away, and is going to travel 15 minutes more and than going back to Earth. (So she thinks she's 1 hour in space in total) But on Earth, years already have been passed.
2021 The MC Duck clan finally meets someone.I will not say who It is. I shall not repeat to change time again. P.S Later this year, Oh hot dog,Ah thanks pal
Della Duck isn't dead in the Donald Duck comic series it is stated that she is in space as a vulonteer(sorry if I spelled it wrong) but she is stuck in a loop which prevents her from ageing or returning home. Kind off sad, she isn't dead but she can't see her boys because of a mistake :'(
All these Della-stuck-in-a-time-ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The Louie short with the time machine clock makes so much more sense now. (It's "volunteer." Just switch out two vowels. Iz all good.)
Ah, right. MORE logical. I think they call this form of logic Occam's Klein Bottle: "When you have competing theories regarding the same set of circumstances, the one that involves another dimension is always better."
To no one's suprise, putting this episode together consisted of me singing the DuckTales theme no less than like 200 times :) To be honest, I was kind of hoping I would come to some super wacky conclusion in this episode like Launchpad actually being the father, but that turned out to be just a little *too* silly. Besides, with how dark Disney can be at times, that whole Peking Duck conclusion is plenty twisted in its own right! Hope you enjoyed this week's episode! What did you think of the new DuckTales pilot?
Another theory: Huey, Dewey, and Louie actually have their mother’s name, ‘Duck’. Their father (s) could be any duck that Della kept around for that clutch of eggs.
The triplets father is launchpad, he lost his memory in a plane crash and started lifting weights, The new design of Della looks like she’s a pilot, which means she use to fly with him, launchpad also has red hair like the picture of the triplets father This is just a theory, I’m pretty sure this is not true.
Idk but I saw a comment and it's confirmed that both parents are dead. And it's legitatmently confirmed that Della Duck went into space so Donald took care of them. I guess she got stuck in space and died
I think Huey Dewey and Louie's dad is part of the military if you look at his haircut and also the shirt that he's wearing in the picture where he is not covered he looks like he might've been a military man so he might've died in the war after the firecrackers and then Della must've gotten sick so Donald adopted them. And so there is Ducktales
In the dutch comic version there was an adventure about dumbella (Della) working as a testing pilot for rockets to explore space, she didnt come back because of the fact time in space is longer than on earth and she thought she was just riding the rocket for half an hour while she is away for years
It actually makes me wonder, what if their dad was a bad guy? Like if your father was a bad guy you’d basically wanna forget him, they were mainly focused on their mother so maybe there’s a reason their not focusing on their father, besides the fact he was never created
3:40 lol i find this funny because im dutch and i saw this comic in the weekly donald duck comic book, also in a dutch Della special it says that Della isn't dead, when Donald adopted the ducklings she got a job for testing space shuttles, the flight was supposed to be only 1 hour but because she was going so fast, the time slowed down, kinda like timetravel. Now shes stuck in space for a long time without she noticing it.
PixelGirls I know what you mean there. My guess, at least for the 2017 show, is that he either left Della or died before they were born/when they were babies.
I like how you just glossed over the joke in the letter. It was the ever so playful nephews who blew their dad up with the firecracker. It's a foreshadowing of the misery that Donald is in for.
I think the boys father was a pilot in the military who died. I also think that Launchpad is his brother due to hair color and launchpads inexplicable ability to pilot anything poorly. What is Launchpads back story?
The thing about the "canon" here. Is that pretty much every media/show/film featuring the Duck family has their own canon. It's pretty clear that they aren't interconnected. You can see this based on how certain major recurring events in the Duckiverse are often portrayed very differently everytime. In some cases the reason for a certain event taking place being completely different. The Ducktales reboot is it's own canon. I wouldn't take anything from the comics or previous series as more than a possible hint.
I agree especially when they answering that their dad is Daisy's brother which it was originated from Don Rosa's unofficial statement (which never made into canon and never made official)...
In the old version of “DuckTales”, I could never tell the different between these 3 brothers In the reboot it’s so much easier, I remember when they were all the same person
The Reboot has now explained the fate of Della, lost in space shortly after laying their eggs, before they even hatched. And the reason for the falling out between Scrooge and Donald was that Scrooge built her the spaceship as a gift (because she was an aviator who had explored everywhere on Earth) even though she had just had her eggs when Donald had said she should settle down for a couple of years first after just becoming a mother. In Scrooges defence she discovered the ship and stole it before it was tested, Scrooge didn't actually give it to her or even tell her about it yet. Also Donald thought that he didn't try hard enough and was too greedy to spend enough money to rescue her when in reality Scrooge built half a dozen rescue ships and emptied his money bin before his companies Board finally forced him to stop searching. No mention whatsoever so far of their father in the series though.
I think it could be a Launchpad because in one of the earlier episodes of the rebooted series after Della comes back from the Moon she's looking at the family pictures and see's LaunchPad standing next to the kids and then she becomes shocked and runs up the stairs plus it seems likeLaunchpad would be the kind of character who gets a firecracker put under his chair so I think it's LaunchPad
Now, this is SOLEY for the 2017 Canon of DUCKTALES series, but here's my thought. Their Dad is Launchpad McQuack. 🙅♂️Now, yes, it's way out there, but let me explain: We know now that Della was a top notch pilot and adventurer. Maybe a young Della met and fell in love with the dashing, daring ace pilot of McDuck Enterprises, Launchpad McQuack---who was at first her rival, then her boyfriend---when her ship was lost in space. McQuack was one of the first ships to go looking for her... But his ship was downed in a similar cosmic storm that sent Della down and HIS crash left him mentally damaged and scarred. The crash reduced him to a shell of the brilliant, courageous and charming pilot he was in his youth. It would explain why Donald took and raised the boys himself: Launchpad needed time to heal and, it eventually turned out, was left too mentally impaired from searching for Della to raise three boys by himself. It would also explain why Scrooge kept a seeming liability like Launchpad McQuack around first as a driver, then tentatively as a cargo pilot: it's not just pity or friendship; it's Scrooge taking responsibility for a family member who was hurt because of his carelessness. 🤷♂️ Yeah, it's unlikely---and a touch dark---but perhaps it's also why the boys don't have Launchpad's last name: McQuack never KNEW he was a father and Donald just had the boys keep Della's name.
@@rachaelashdown2301 I have two ways that this theory could still work. First in the crash Launchpad could have gotten physical damage requiring major plastic surgery to where Della didn't recognize him. A second way is if Launchpad was a drunken one night stand and after 10 years on the moon she likely forgot about him, defeating the original elaborate theory but keeping the Launchpad is their dad one.
I was thinking the same thing recently. If they tell you who their father is ,they will have to invent him! I'm sure when H,D, & L were introduced, no one was thinking in terms of an actual father! They just liked the idea of a wacky uncle! Often used in writing!
Sooo they basically told us Della pretty much abandoned her children, if she left them with Donald before, she basically abandoned them In the episode where she went to space while in the past she was supposedly seeing their father
In Finnish comics Donald (Aku Ankka in Finnish) is labeled as Scrooge's (Roope McAnkka in Finnish) brother's son and Ducktrio (Tupu, Hupu and Lupu in Finnish) is labeled as Donald's brother's sons. Reason here using wrong family terms is that in Finnish language we have wider names for relatives: "setä" is for uncle from father's side and "eno" is uncle from mother's side. Same goes for Ducktrio: "veljenpoika (1)/veljenpojat (2 or more)" means son(s) of brother and "siskonpoika (1)/siskonpojat (2 or more)" means son(s) of sister. This translation error was somewhat explained in Don Rosa's comic where Scrooge says himself to be "eno" of Donald but immediately adds that "setä" term works as well (because "setä" term is more used than "eno", btw). This problem was never explained with Ducktrio (minus their first appearance). Probably because it's easier write and pronounce "veljenpojat" that "siskonpojat", especially for younger people.
Launchpad from DuckTales could be their father he has the same orange hair what is that firecracker blew up and made him hit his head so then he forgot who he was and then he started to workout and became the Meathead Launchpad we all know now so he can be in their life without them knowing and dela also got her and she forgot him so that's why they don't love each other in DuckTales
You forget one thing, Della don't recognize him the first time she sees him, the joke about della getting angry because the family got a new pilot while she was out, Della was a good pilot so the only crash that could have made her lose her memory was the moon crash. The last name of the triplets is Duck, Launchpad Last name is McQuack, and the "he lost his memory and got a new name" is not possible, because in the original series we meet Launchpad parents who also have McQuack as their last name.
ok so like I know this is off topic, but like the episode of the spear of Selene, they find out the goddess doesn’t have a spear, but as you progress into the story, the duo finds out the spear means something else. perhaps what? SPEAR- S OF- O SELENE- S This can mean Della is in trouble and needs their help. oof
There's a possibility that Launchpad is the triplet's biological father with 2017 DuckTales canon but almost none on 1987 DuckTales canon and Darkwing Duck canon... We still don't know a lot about 2017 Launchpad's personality, pasts and character... Launchpad McQuack remains the most mysterious and most secretive character in 2017 DuckTales ever compared to 1987 DuckTales and Darkwing Duck... We also know nothing about Della since this canon is her debut...
Launchpad is more of a older brother and Donald is more of a father towards them since he took the eggs before they were about to hatch and gave them names
Huey, Dewey and Louie's papa must be an unnamed SHUSH agent. Considering how the reboot series depicts Scrooge as a former SHUSH agent along with Ms. Beakley.
My headcanon about the new Ducktales reboot is that Della intended to be a single mother by choice, because she just seems like someone independent who would choose that path.
Regarding Della, it is canon that she's in space and left the triplets in their uncles care. I've always like to think because of their dad's design, that he's a military man who isn't interested in kids or is maybe too strict (treats them like soldiers instead, though there's no proof to this). Regardless of what the story is, Della is a little selfish in my book because in the comics, she goes off into space, knowing full well, she won't be back again until the boys are grown.
This was a good summery, but got a bit morbid with the real life duck theory. :P The real reason Donald has nephews is that for a while Disney didn't like the idea of their main characters having children, as it implied that character had sex, and they couldn't have that, especially if there isn't a wife in the picture. So a lot of the characters in Disney has a nephew that pop up from time to time. Goofy has a nephew called Gilbert and Micky has a pair of nephews called Morty and Ferdie. Goofie did get a son in the 90's but that is the 90's for you. I mean that doesn't explain who their father were, but it does give you an idea why Huey, Dewey and Louie was created in the first place and shoehorned in under Donald's care.
My pet theory is that Della nearly married a guy who turned out to have been an estranged member of the DeSpell clan, who was punished by Magica for this transgression, leading up to her showdown where she was "ghost trapped" inside of the lucky dime. This black sheep of the De Spells is of course the DUCKTALES reboot version of Poe, the raven that was Magicka's brother who suffered the backlash of a messed-up spell in the original series (himself a reboot of Magica's pet crow Ratface).
There is one other option about the father and maybe mother of the Quack pack. They may have been taken by aliens. If you remember from the original Duck tails with the introduction of Gyzmoduck Scrooges bin as well as Scrooge, and Fenten where taken by a robotic race of alien beings.
well now we know that Della was lost in space(due to the new series) The father most likely died in war(due to looks, which is what another commenter by the name of Alyssa Levenberg said) or,looking at it from a real world perspective, fled the nest. Also,he could have been an adventurer instead of an army man, like the others, and was simply killed or fatally injured while on an adventure.

The father most likely died from the resulting "...explosion..." Della may have been so devastated from the death of her husband at the hands of her children that she might have considered them mentally ill and violent, prompting her to abandon them to the care of her brother Donald.
I like this theory a lot. It' fits just so perfect.
bro Do u want a Harvard scholarship???
But (if 2017 reboot is canon) why are both Della and Donald in DuckTales 2017?

It's very unfortunate they didn't dive into the mystery of the Triplets father in the reboot.
I feel like it wouldve felt shoehorned in with them adding Della, especially since the triplets' dad has never been a real character
Here in holland, we got a special edition of the magazine. Della is gone because she is one a space mission. She doesnt age for a strange reason; time moves slower in space, according to"the quack pack". They had contact with her once but they lied to her. They said they werent her children, and she believed it. They did this because (quote): 'we love you more tan anyone in the world, uncle Donald.'
Yep.... I know....
Shouldn't Della be around the same age as Donald?

G.o.t theory... Donald is the dad (duck :)). Dumbella Duck discovered the origins of Donald a bit to late because of stupidity and skroutz`s hunger for treasures , after that she became an astronaut she didn't want to live in this world anymore. She will come back and by mistake again she will be sleeping with all three of her kids, she will be around the same age with them because of speed traveling.
Travis Plush Productions wow I didn't notice that
Assuming that we're talking about the classic versions of the characters, we know Della is alive and on a space mission for Nasa whereas the father as been indefinitely hospitalized.
We don't know his status in the new duck tales show
Atm, the canon answer (or at least in the Netherlands) is that Della is out in space as an astronaut, however the triplets thought she was dead, even calling themselves orphans. That was until they realised she was still alive. The father is definitely out of the picture. Don't know if he's dead or not but they called themselves orphans so...
yeah that's the story we are familiar with
Huigberts Gamed yeah, it is. Read that comic when it came out
Huigberts Gamed on the reboot (spoiler alert) it's the same
Hold my Juicy Juice...
Someone talking about Don Rosa's comics in UA-cam? What a blessing!

Donald duck was a WWII veteran. The photo in the family tree shows the quack pack's father with a clear high and tight military haircut. Perhaps their father had PTSD triggered from the firecracker under his chair and something bad happened. Dont know bout the mom. Meh, i tried.

Likely he's a military air force pilot... Possibility he was discharged due to he's suffering mental health issues...

Possible spoilers for Ducktales '17 ahead
I think Ducktales '17 might be tweaking this.
(So she thinks she's 1 hour in space in total) But on Earth, years already have been passed.
just say "The triplets" so that you don't have to acknowledge the existence of that show
the spear of Selene could be a rocket or space ship. a rocket is sort of spear shaped.
Eyyy, another person who actually remembers that comic. I really hope Ducktales '17 will actually add that story to the main canon.
David Tennant is amazing so i am excited that he is Scrooge McDuck

To no one's suprise, putting this episode together consisted of me singing the DuckTales theme no less than like 200 times :)
To be honest, I was kind of hoping I would come to some super wacky conclusion in this episode like Launchpad actually being the father, but that turned out to be just a little *too* silly. Besides, with how dark Disney can be at times, that whole Peking Duck conclusion is plenty twisted in its own right!
Hope you enjoyed this week's episode! What did you think of the new DuckTales pilot?
i thought it was launchpad..
2019 anyone Della is with her family
Well, with Della now having a cannon reason to be gone for the new series, it’s quite possible the father is also somwhere
Another theory: Huey, Dewey, and Louie actually have their mother’s name, ‘Duck’. Their father (s) could be any duck that Della kept around for that clutch of eggs.
The triplets father is launchpad, he lost his memory in a plane crash and started lifting weights,
The new design of Della looks like she’s a pilot, which means she use to fly with him, launchpad also has red hair like the picture of the triplets father
This is just a theory, I’m pretty sure this is not true.
Idk but I saw a comment and it's confirmed that both parents are dead. And it's legitatmently confirmed that Della Duck went into space so Donald took care of them. I guess she got stuck in space and died
Sakiara 27 yes someone else thought the same
Launchpad is a pelipper like bird while Della is a duck
Launchpad is a pelican.
you do realise Launchpad is a mcquack so hes pelipper like bird i think not
Della isn't dead. In the 2017 show there were clues where she were. She is stuck on the moon/space

Now shes stuck in space for a long time without she noticing it.
now some one agrees with me😏🙂

Ikr they ask about their mom but.....WHAT ABOUT THEIR DAD GUYSS HELLOOOO YOU HAD A DAD TOO🙈😂😆 AHH I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!
PixelGirls I know what you mean there. My guess, at least for the 2017 show, is that he either left Della or died before they were born/when they were babies.
Maybe they know what happened to their dad.
Ikr I have always thought that IT ABSOLUTLEY TRIGGERS ME
I like how you just glossed over the joke in the letter.
Take a bite out of a chille pepper everytime he says "Quack Pack"
In the old version of “DuckTales”, I could never tell the different between these 3 brothers
In the reboot it’s so much easier, I remember when they were all the same person
I love the new reboot, really the art style is amazing
I think it could be a Launchpad because in one of the earlier episodes of the rebooted series after Della comes back from the Moon she's looking at the family pictures and see's LaunchPad standing next to the kids and then she becomes shocked and runs up the stairs plus it seems likeLaunchpad would be the kind of character who gets a firecracker put under his chair so I think it's LaunchPad
ooh yes, one thing that backs this up is the fact that the triplets' dad has orange hair in the family tree poster
I bet Launchpad has been the boys father this entire time. He's always dome fatherly things with the boys throughout their adventures.
Dude, have you WATCHED "Nothing Can Stop Della Duck" yet? If not, do it.
I like the part where it says quack pack
I drank a sip of water every time he said quack pack
Now, this is SOLEY for the 2017 Canon of DUCKTALES series, but here's my thought.
Their Dad is Launchpad McQuack.
🙅♂️Now, yes, it's way out there, but let me explain:
We know now that Della was a top notch pilot and adventurer.
I like the theory. Having seen the new episode where Della meets Launchpad for the first time, I think your theory is debunked now :/
NO. That would mean Launchpad has more claim on the boys than Donald and that's unacceptable.
Hmm...
That could make sense, since Launchpad has red hair and the Quack Pack's dad did as well...
Dharma Jianniney or its kids show and this I very unlikely

This was my old account on UA-cam
I feel like their dad is launchpad and that he lost his memory in a crash.....
I think this is true because launchpad is a pilot just like Della and launchpad has a strange liking to the triplets...
It's so true tho my mind is blown
@@meboyiscool3236 so, Lanuchpad and Della, you know?

You forget one thing, Della don't recognize him the first time she sees him, the joke about della getting angry because the family got a new pilot while she was out, Della was a good pilot so the only crash that could have made her lose her memory was the moon crash.
The last name of the triplets is Duck, Launchpad Last name is McQuack, and the "he lost his memory and got a new name" is not possible, because in the original series we meet Launchpad parents who also have McQuack as their last name.
I just thought of something, the "quack packs" father has the same orange hair like launchpad. But that's just a hypothesis, a TV series hypothesis!

Tomasz Kuplowski Maybe they weren't married. Maybe she kept her last name.
NO. He's too recent a character and it would mean he has a greater claim to HDL than Donald himself and that would be unacceptable.

Huey, Dewey and Louie's papa must be an unnamed SHUSH agent. Considering how the reboot series depicts Scrooge as a former SHUSH agent along with Ms. Beakley.
I didn't even know that they had a father, before I heard uncle Donald I thought he was the dad
That's what I thought too their voices even sounded like a more understandable version of Donald's
He IS the Dad, for all intents and purposes. He's the parent that matters.
My headcanon about the new Ducktales reboot is that Della intended to be a single mother by choice, because she just seems like someone independent who would choose that path.
I remember Quack Pack! I loved it as a kid.
The real reason Donald has nephews is that for a while Disney didn't like the idea of their main characters having children, as it implied that character had sex, and they couldn't have that, especially if there isn't a wife in the picture.
Natala A theory derived from this fact is that the "nephews" are actually illegimate children, and are called nephews for modesty's sake.
Anna Marianne a
Except Goofy and Pete both have offspring, Goofy and his wife have Max, And Pete and wife Peg have 2 children Pete Jr and Pistol
thats a good out of universe explanation but an in-universe explanation is what we're after here
Natala good point
If you remember from the original Duck tails with the introduction of Gyzmoduck Scrooges bin as well as Scrooge, and Fenten where taken by a robotic race of alien beings.
well now we know that Della was lost in space(due to the new series)
The father most likely died in war(due to looks, which is what another commenter by the name of Alyssa Levenberg said) or,looking at it from a real world perspective, fled the nest.
Also,he could have been an adventurer instead of an army man, like the others, and was simply killed or fatally injured while on an adventure.
Hey Frederator. You said NOT to take a drink EVERY time you said "Quack Pack". Well, I had this blue Kool-Aid stuff and every time you said "Quack Pack', I Literally took a drink of it. Man, my belly is full now. Lol.
