Hey so I keep getting the error that I can create a smart component because the part comes from a library

I just created a smart component from a part that I already had in my library, and I had no issues.
- I created an assembly, created a normal cube, then added my part from my library.
- I added the features that I needed for my part, then created my smart component using the part I extracted from my library
- The smart component features were automatically saved to my library part

Can you make a Smart Component from an assembly? For example, What if the switch was an assembly?

6:49 when he says there are no additional components, if yours is an assembly, that's where you select them. In the pink tab.
