good stuff bro, I’m gonna play around with the expander on my ssl e channel and vocals. your video helped a lot and it was straight to the point, keep putting out videos bro 🔥
Good video 5piece i have seen people record without a booth and there was no feedback, i assume a gate was used to kill the feed back and background noise.
wow this was really good ..i almost went to buy me new mic lol ... ..i use RODE nt1 AND TELLING you without any gate that thing pick up my cats going to bathroom on other side of appartment ...
Usually early on in the chain, typically the first plug in slot for me although you may want to put it second, after your vocal tuning (AutoTune, Melodyne, etc)
I'd say no - sometimes the gate is the best option especially if you're on a time crunch and don't want to manually edit. However, I recommend manually editing for the most control and best results. That's my preferred method. I primarily use the gate to just clean up things quickly and save me time. In saying that, sometimes parts you want muted/reduced in volume sneak past the gate, hence why I recommend the manual approach above all else. Hope this helps!
Appreciate your content 5piece! And that song is hot too!!
Thank you for watching!

Sounds good! Thank you Nik!
Finally, an explanation for which way to go to relax the gate 's sensitivity values
Great advice

beautiful work bro!!!
It would be very useful if you actually soloed the vocals when showing the differences.
Noted for future videos 🤙🏼
You know, I’ve been using Waves plug-ins for 2 years now and I learned in this video there’s an undo button 🤣
Undo is arguably my favourite feature 😂
What do you charge for mix or master?
