Ephesians 2:11-22 is written to a church that is encouraged to remember who they once were, what Christ has done for them and who they are now in Christ. Where once there was division among people and separation from God, Christ has killed hostility and reconciled a new people alive in him, bringing them near to the Father. Peace within the Christian community of the church is not found within a vision or dream, but is a Christ-established reality that believers have been brought into.
