You are so right! We even have no videos of her fabulous stage performances and her best roles ( Abigail, Lady Macbeth, Anna Bolena, Armida etc. had not been even recorded in studio !) Probably no proffesional from the companies you mentioned had enough intelligence to recognize we were (at the peridod of Maria´s best years) witnessing something that will never happen again!! Real idiots !!
Excuse me, but Armida was not her only Rossini opera. There are also recordings of her in Barbuere di Siviglia (with Gobbi and Alva), as well as an equally stupendous Turco in Italia (with first recording of Nicolai Gedda). Callas could sing ANYTHING!!
