Hello Ed, I was in the RCA Record Club and the Aloha LP came out in ,as I rememberd in 1974,actually it was 1973 I am told. It was on the orange label.I paid little attention to it.I bought in 1975,I belive. It was tan label.
I have both these albums, as well as the original “24 Karat Hits” and I’ve said this before, my only gripe with this release is that Steve Hoffman had used the undubbed “Wear My Ring Around Your Neck” and the un-spliced version of “A Big Hunk ‘O Love” and I didn’t like how they resequenced “Love Me Tender” with the stereo versions, but I understand why. On the upside, the sonic quality is pretty top notch and there are some unique mixes via Steve, (Suspicious Minds” That are phenomenal. 😊
Ed I love watching your video's.i have all of Elvis albums and some singles.i have albums that have his picture on the entire album.wonder what they might be worth
Bionic hearing, LOL! My husband would have been able to pick out all the nitty gritty details with his surround sound system but I'm happy just to hear the music. That 24 karat hits cover is beautiful, but I was surprised to see the three LPs stuffed into one sleeve instead of a triple gatefold!
Great finds you got there. Hope to eventually get a good Aloha copy, ran into one at a shop and I was about to get it until I saw the lp was absolutely covered in mold. Great video Ed 👍
Nice pickups. Love the audiophile commentary. I'm not an audiophile either but I will say that when you listen to 24 Karat Hits (I have both the 3 LP set and SACD), it immediately sounds like a superior recording. Completely off-topic, what I would love to have FTD, or anyone for that matter, release is multichannel SACDs of the albums that were released in Quadraphonic. I would imagine there's not even the smallest chance of that happening since it is a market that's a niche within a niche. The only multichannel Elvis out there is a DVD audio version of 30#1 hits. The difference isn't earth shattering, but is interesting and it does sound good. I'm sure they could take those quad recordings and create some great sound 5.1 albums. Oh well, I can dream, can't I?
I Want the 24 Karat albums! Love the covers. Love watching your puppies!

Cool grabs! You’ve been finding some great imports lately out in the wild! That gold CD probably sounds fantastic. Cheers 😎🙏

Very Nice Ed 👌
Great Video 🎙🎶🥂
I am happy that you finally got these two albums Ed, I'm like you I'm not a audio technique person, either I like the sound of it or not.
Picked up a super clean Memphis to Vegas with insert photos at infinity yesterday. Just put in the closet
Saw that there. Glad it’s in a good home

Hi Ed.I love all your videos.Amazing!!
Are you going to hunt down other RCA Record Club releases, such as WWGAH Part 1 and 2 and WWGAH Part 3 and 4?
3 lp and only 24 tracks?
Wasn't there a Juke Box edition maybe 10 inch , will ask my mate who had a copy.
