I hear about 12.51836% Justin Chancellor influence. Love the bass, LOVE the low B! I play a lot of Fretless basses and that’s the only way I can play any microtonal notes... but I guess being a Fretless they are all microtonal... keep up the good work, mate! It seems many musicians these days want to be perfect and will do anything to cover their mistakes rather than adopting a healthy sense of humility. IMO These videos show the sense of humanity of these artists have and that they aren’t just perfectionist lizard gods from the multiverse who write epic microtonal music. Really Good stuff.

Awesome, cheers for this Lukey! I always assumed the messy fretboard layout was because you were in standard, and stu and Joey were in that open tuning.
Off topic question, but are we getting a digital or blu ray release of the Chunky film anytime soon?

Yep I’ve always been in standard. The fretboard looks messy but it makes sense to me (most of the time). We got something special coming real soon ;)

Though I love the mustangs, this is a sick looking and sounding bass! Looks like the giannini formigão that were produced here in Brazil in the 80's. Love your playing, mate.

Great video 🤙 sick bass, can't wait to see it at red rocks. Do you know if moshing is at all possible at that time/venue?

Thanks for making this Lucas. It's not like I'll ever have an instrument like this but you continue to be an inspiration for me as an aussie bass player myself. Hope to see you guys one day.

A fretless bass would kill microtonal music. Im surprised you didn't talk about the slab at the end of that neck.

Jim Dunlop .64 I think. Orange ones with the turtle on em. Tortex I think?

Hi lucas, I was wondering if it's mostly joey/stu who make the bass lines or if you make them from time to time and if yes, for which songs? Also please make a rig rundown for joey stu and cookie, I'd love to see them!!

Hey Lucas! I’m curious how much of your parts use microtones as you were kind of talking about. Do you stick do full and half steps when doing more rhythmic stuff and do microtonal stuff with more melodic parts? Thanks for the rig rundown! Stay safe man!

Usually just dependant on what the guitars are doing - most of the roots are full tones, and yep melodic parts have more
Of the micros - nailed it!

Dang thanks for the fret diagram and neck modifying sites. You’re true blue for that.
