It's nice to take a break from dark and complex universe-ending SCPs to enjoy a simple SCP with happy ending once in a while.
Honestly. They're cool and all, but I like the more interesting and nuanced stuff, rather than just "everyone's done for, here's how".
My pet draugr in Skyrim showing me the new drum it stole from my neighbour
this is somehow the funniest and the stupidest thing I have ever read
New Mod idea???
God damn it, that was funnier than it has any right to be.
Oh. So that's how Rjorn lost his drum...
@@TheTamaranch insane lore reach, well done!
May I ask for more compassionate researchers like Jansen
Huxtable from SCP-5031
There's lots of them. They usually die first
That was great. No ultra complicated techno babble or 4 part super deep dive. Just a nice story within the svp universe.

SVP. Alternate foundation like the shark punching center.
@@michaeldayman682 MC&D but the foundation
This one really got me. He just wanted closure, and, boy, do I relate. I'm glad he got his. Maybe one day I'll get mine too
life is short
We all have our Sigrid. Love is everywhere, but we know our mate. May we meet them in the afterlife.
Don't worry... I'm sure you'll get your closure and happy ending
I wish for you to find closure and peace.
Stay strong brother, peace will find you in time.
Ngl I almost cried a little at this one, it's too sweet ;-;
Amazing narration as always, thank you for keeping me company as I deep-clean my snake's enclosure late at night lol
almost? i need a mop..
@@kenpanderz when you done with it, pass it this way
Sobbing over here
Short SCPs that's not overcomplicated and has a happy ending, my beloved
Best damn type too.
Thanks for making the top comment a spoiler.
@@stijn2653 Don't read the comments while watching? It's not like they went out of their way to be top comment lol
@raghnall847 it's automa5ically on the screen on mobile. It's not really an option sometimes.
@@GhostUpThereDon't look at the comment part of the screen while opening the video. Immediately go into landscape mode
SCP's like this are a nice change of pace; too many entries can be just chalk full of darkness, misery, and multiversal shenaniganry, so it's nice to see a smaller entry like this that's more personal
I'm happy you chose a small, simple SCP to present. I like them a lot more than most of the big and complex ones (although i listen to the grand majority of the big ones as well). Please do more!
i just posted a comment similar to this. Its what the SCP community used to be like, simple but genius ideas written simply, wheras nowadays it seems to be amateur authors intent on adding their own mark to the universe. It changes as all things do, but part of me wishes the community had stayed the way it was.
Been voting for this one for a while now, it did not disappoint. There's something special about the SCPs that take what should be another day containing spooky monsters and end up being a wholesome tale.
I’m so glad to hear you narrate something without Hishakaku 😂
"Begone, scrappy," said TES.
Hishakaku 😂
Or Placeholder.
Big agree
@@zeta280 I like Placeholder, he's insightful.
This one made me cry a bit, and I’m man enough to admit that
The SCP foundation should be glad it wasnt a "Do-Draug" (Toilet Draug).
(actual folktale creature that would slap your butt or testicles when you were using the toilet)
Although that would make a fun story.
The old Norse would bend or break the swords of their slain so they wouldnt come back to haunt them with something sharp in hand.
Restless spirits not being able to pass on was a legitimate fear, both in fear of being haunted, and being the one who haunts.
Him finally letting go of the sword and finding rest seemed not just symbolic, it actually touches on some old superstitions, and i found that cool.
My bias for Norway aside, I quite liked this one.
Soooo butt-ghost?
Sounds like the toilet demons in ancient rome
F you for putting me so close to tears without warning.
But really, beautiful breakdown of the scip. The implication it finally found peace/rest once it let go of the weapon of a warrior and grasped the items of family life is such an interesting moment, especially given the implications of where the old Norse belieced their souls went depending on the circumstances of their death.
I can't help but think that the author of this skip was drawing from the effects of music on folks with dementia and the like. I... yeah, there was some ugly crying. This was absolutely beautiful.
Staying up far too late has paid off splendidly! Thank god for my witcher 3 addiction
I'm not crying, you're crying.
Anyone else think this would make a good film?
Those aren't tears! Those are tiny water Vikings charging down my face into battle!
An anime short film, perhaps
It would be amazing if you did a breakdown of the entire Horus Heresy in detail, the way you do. Would be absolutely perfect, though massive I understand
Who else was here when the channel was under 5k subs. Glad to see we we're about to hit 1 million
This was nice and refreshing. A pallette cleanser of sorts. Sometimes a succinct little self contained story is just what you need!
Thank you for making my night better
Holy cow, uploaded just as soon as I made my mocha, impeccable timing
I like this one, though it hit harder than I expected. Glad the draugur finally got peace.
Feels refreshing to do a simpler SCP after so many high concept or in depth ones.
Still love those, but a pallet cleanser is nice once in a while.
Never stop doing what you’re doing man you and the volgun are literally the only two good spc UA-camrs I’ve found
I always look forward to Monday@Midnight for this channel. Thanks Mang!
while I love the multiverse-spanning, reality-threatening doomsday SCPs covered on this channel with a burning passion, it truly is good to get a simple and emotionally effective SCP like this one every now and then. This was really nice.
I really like this one. Don't get me wrong, I love you covering giant tales like 8888 but you showcasing something short and sweet like this is a different kind of treat. :)
I generally prefer the shorter ones myself.
I love these kinds of spcs and I'm so happy to have your channel to listen to.
theres sharks in this scp?
This one caught me off guard with tears. I really do like these quiet, emotional SCPs.
Absolutely adore this story, thank you so much for covering it!
Beautiful, absolutely heart moving of a narration! Sans the MTFs and keter-class abominations trying to destroy all life😭😭😭
Ride on to Valhalla SCP-3105!
Fuckin hell, man. That one got in the feels. Its been a while since 1762, Where the Dragons Went
This was such a nice change of pace. Definitely one of my new favorites now!
This one made me cry a little. Glad he got to go home.
In old legends there is always a reason why the corpse returns
Be it guilt, rage, longing or attachment - the risen corpse is never happy

Yep, I always have nightmares involving *The Whites* coming after me.
Boo! Did I scare you?
I'm assuming he meant wight in that sentence, which is an evil spirit.
It's highly unlikely that our resident zombie should have been able to recognize the Mjölnir idol as the hammer necklaces was a Christian missionary synchronism method to convert Scandinavia becoming popular around the 10th century.
However he might have some recollection around the symbolism of it, tho I guess we'll never know how much of the original Scandinavian mythology is original as even the Poetic Edda was written well after the christianisation.
Wow that's a great detail that added. Shows the author understands the history quite well.
Dont get me wrong, i love the long tales, but theres something about the short, sweet tales that is just so enjoyable
I prefer the shorter ones myself too.
This was a good one. These thoughtful stories are among my favorites.
Love the ones with happy endings. Poor warriors just needed kindness.
Such a wonderful and happy ending to this story!
I love listening to your vids as i fall asleep, your voice is very relaxing
It's raining outside, and I am seating with hot coffee, hearing this SCP Norse love story. Made my day❤️
I might teared up a little at "thank you, kind valkyie"
i would pay to watch a short film or drama based on 3105.
this is one of my new favorites, what a wonderful story
A first for me. To hear the SCP Foundation actually resolving something, albeit by accident.
It happens every once in a while and such scps tend to be very well thought out and touching. I know I always look forward to finding melancholy yet wholesome scps like this one.
Wow this one almost made me cry. What grief it suffered 😭
I had tears in my eyes the whole time.
The way this hit me in my emotions at 6 am is almost rude 😭❤️
I liked this SCP, it was strangely wholesome.
6:25 Researcher Jansen: look at this photograph
I liked this one a lot. It made me cry
Just wanted to say how much I love the pictures that you use in all of your videos!
Absolutely loved this! Such a great SCP, and the narration was well done! Great job, TES! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
This is like a lighter, sweeter version of a story involving an undead like that. At the end, some smaller details were explained that caused its reaction to make sense. It was taken back by a female deep voice because Valkyries were typically more masculine women, but they were still very beautiful as the undead was trying to make out if it was a Valkyrie or its wife. It finally let itself pass on when it realized that it wasn’t its wife, and thought her to be a Valkyrie so he decided to finally let himself pass on in the hopes that he would see his wife. Knowledge of mythology, given the prerequisites necessary in order to do that, he’s met them all. Given that this is the SCP foundation, he probably will actually see his wife. It’s a really sweet story.
these are my favorite SCP articles and videos to listen to. No 8 part series with the author inventing half a hundred new terms for their article alone, no convoluted narrative with dozens of characters, just a simple premise written excellently, and in this case a rather heartwarming message, though usually its a terrifying one instead.
It harkens back to the orginal SCPs, where you were given the number, the class, the containment procedures, and the description of the SCP. I know it sounds awfully like gatekeeping but i wish the SCP fandom had stayed like that, it was the birthplace of so many unique ideas, whereas now it just seems to be a place for amateur authors to sharpen their skills.
They better give him his funeral rites. A sweet story none the less, thank you.
This was refreshing. Not a long drawn out tale that’s not more about changing the foundation than the actual scp. Miss articles like this one.
Aw... poor guy. I'm glad he finally made it home, even if not TRULY there.
Oh no. This was so sad. My whole heart
That was nice. Short, sad and sweet.
Also confirms that I wasn't crazy. I knew I had seen a draugr! "Mass hysteria" my ass.
Exploring Series puts a video! It is a good day!
Thanks for another banger!
thank you for your videos
Lovely. The small things that mattered.
Nice sentimental case file. I'm glad this one didn't take a turn for the worse. Also, I like how the writer lets the living corpse be pretty dismissive of Thor's Hammer but still shows the living corpse means no disrespect.
Somewhat timely after rewatching Justice League Unlimited S3E4 "To Another Shore". That tale showcased an immortally damned (and implyingly rendered dormant in the 21st century setting by way of iceberg imprisonment) warrior prince Norseman who finally got closure by being given a farewell to the Earth's sun, to anyone curious. With that, may he have reunited with his own beloved Valkyrie up above in Valhalla, even against Odin's wishes.
finally not some mcholder hishiquackquack trash, lovely
Why did this make me cry
It feels like we're back to the good ol' days. Just fun random articles about cool stuff, instead of everything having to be another -verse made by an author wanting to show off.
yet when we get 30 mins of technobable about how the world is going to end and kill six different dimensions with it... we gobble it down like it's candy, don't lie to me hahahha
@@juanpablofajardoramirez1008 ehhh
It may have to do with the sword that brought him back to life.
Oddly wholesome, at least in SCP universe terms. Good read. 👍
This is such a beautiful story. I looooved listening to this
It's a terrible day for rain.
It's SCPs like this that make me happy we've gone past the days of 'killing machine with no reason' anomalies. Yes, the killing machines exist, but they have a reason to, and it's nice to see the brighter side occasionally
Damn it... im crying at work..
my heart melts
Damn, man. Why you trying to make me cry first thing Monday morning?
im going to download a Draugr companion, and im going to give them a flute and a doll.
Noooo, Im actualy crying. I just really hope he's together with his wife and kid now 😭
Frick man this scp made me tear 😢 up
ooooh boy I'm crying
That was very sweet
I'm not crying, you're crying!
This one hit me. I wasn't expecting that ending. Well chosen
I wonder if dna, whole or partial cells, or even an intact stem cell could be recovered or produced and grafted to it body so organ systems can begin growing
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying!
This one reminded me 5031
A tiny one compared to most of the skips Mangg has covered recently. But I'm not at all displeased with this, even if there are many others I'd rather have had.
A fallen warrior has found his peace 🙂
