@@greekfire3244 Search on Y/T for Victor accidential flight, there's a bunch of video's of her ground run that day in 2009,including one interviewing the pilot explaining what went wrong in the cockpit causing the jet to take off. Remember none of these jets have current air worthyness certificates...so anything other than high speed taxi runs is a big no,no as far as the Civil Aviation Authority are concerned.
I do hope we get a V Bomber in DCS. Even if just as an AI tanker, would be amazing. This plane still looks like something out of the future. Best of the V Bomber by far. Curious to know about the 2 small protruding intakes in front of the vertical stabilizer.
Have you heard about the time they accidentally took off in this non-flight approved plane? Pilot accidentally built up too much speed and had to take off and go around for a landing in fear that he might have gone off the end of the runway I believe lol
I am pretty sure this plane did a show where it actually took off by accident and they had to come off all power to get it safely on the ground again.. Amazing show, I hope you enjoyed yourself's :)
Have you heard of the Vulcan bomber? If not do a search on UA-cam I promise you will not be disappointed, check out any video entitled "Vulcan howl". Thank me later!! PS keep an eye on here for the other aircraft that were doing fast runs I was at this event and it was brilliant
@@mpainter22 Being an American, most of the bombers I'm familiar with are either American or Russian, I'm sorry to say. Happy to learn about the Vulcan. Don't suppose there were any B-36s at that event, were there?
@@starturtle5135 no, I doubt there's even a B36 in the UK to be honest this was predominantly British cold war era aircraft, so we had the EE lightning, VC10, Victor, Buccaneer, Jet Provest, Hunter, DH Vampire, Canberra, DH Comet. If you get the opportunity to research these aircraft you'll be left fairly impressed by just how vast the RAF was at the time
Everyone's always raving about the Vulcan. But looks wise the Victor is such a beast! The head on lood with those space ship design intakes makes it look like something out of the Thunderbirds!
I was actually slightly saddened by the time the Victor had done this run, I wanted all of the aircraft that day to do what they are supposed to do and fly also it's a reminder of just how good an inventory the RAF had at it's disposal. It's tragic that none of the aircraft there on Sunday could fly
At the airfield where I am doing my PPL, there is a Vulcan stored right next to the flying club. Unfortunately, the owners of the airfield won't allow any high speed runs of the Vulcan anymore and want to close the airfield for housing, resulting in the scrapping of the Vulcan. It's sad. It's nice to see other V bombers getting better treatment...
Lovely old girl, still remember being there in 2009 when she took off by accident.
Took off by accident? How did that happen?

^^ This :)
The Victor is a fantastic looking aircraft. Didn't last long as a bomber but did excellent service as a tanker.
What a pair the Victor and Vulcan was. Brits certainly knew how to build classic aircraft.

yeh that let a passenger at the throttles and he panicked. Bob T was at the controls to save it. You'll see bob in a couple of vids tomorrow.
Damn, the Brits made some fine aircraft!
agree
Gotta love the Victor.
Though a 1950s design she looks straight out of Star Wars ...
All the V-bombers had such oddly striking lines! Good to see one still on moving display. Used to love the Vulcan fly-overs.

I'm ashamed to admit that I'd never heard of the Victor. Definitely a unique and pretty looking bomber.

The old bird wants to fly so badly :(
That is one cool ass design.
That thing looks insane.
Has the lines of a Dr Who craft...if Dr Who had nukes. Beautiful!
This aicraft is such a beauty, no words can describe it.
setting off all the car alarms as she goes lmao :) awesome :) lol

Utterly breathtaking, still looks ultra futuristic
Easily the most evil-looking thing that ever flew.. and I love it for it!
Fantastic craft, beautiful sound. Really nice mic you have on the camera there without blowing out the sound!
I was holding said mic, it was very posh. I'm glad the sound came out OK! ua-cam.com/video/9DIEINPoVBs/v-deo.html
She still looks like a spaceship
Very cool sci-fi look to that bird
Nails077 like something out of Flash Gordon
I love Victor
The only V bomber to drop the bomb was the Vickers Valiant.
Is it gonna fly again for airshows?! I haven't heard about this beast in a while
Too old now most likely.
None of these planes will ever fly again. It is for the best trust me.
For me, easily the best looking bomber ever.
I have seen ones of these (at Elvington airfield) this video doesn't show how massive the plane is
What a beauty
Sexy AF, i miss the good old british design skills, from cars to planes. Thanks for posting!
She wants to fly :(
schickes teil greetings from germany:)
Seems like a pretty badly designed airstrip, the plane is lively
