Perfect take-off and landing in windy conditions, brave roll, and very frank excitement, a short breath and joy at the end .... Dear Jeff you deserved a big applause. Al the best Josip Vrandecic
Beautifully flown and great paintjob!!...i have one aswell and i do a paintjob aswell,my grandfather flew one aswell, was shot down in dec.7th 1944 above the place i live now in the Netherlands,302 polish squadron...thanks for sharing this video, great job!..God bless from the Netherlands!!
Great job!!!getting ready to order mine tmrw, considering wind, I truly appreciate your honesty about nervousness, I’m nervous myself with wind and got no shame in it, enjoyed!!
Congrats on getting one fletch ! The best flying warbird in my hanger of 60+ models .. The build was nice too Be careful when bolting the prop blades onto the backplate as I over tightened one hex bolt and sheered the head off .. was easy fix but just be aware .. I. Found the recommended 90mm cog works great ..my lipo weighs 660g and is pushed inside the back of the motor mount .. be wary of your elev throw as lots have reported it being pitchy. .I have 70%throw and 30 odd percent expo . Be aware she has lots of grunt and will get up quick ..don't hammer the throttle on take off as that big 4 blade will torque u over .. a smooth roll out up.to half throttle will get her up smooth with a tad of rudd correction Keep me updated and send a link of any footage u get .. I'm pretty quick to respond to comments so if u have any worries or problems or just enquiries about the model just message me .. What a great flight despite the winds! I love your weathering. I can't wait to see it finished. Mine is on it's way and I can't wait to get my hands on it
You won’t need good luck. She flies like a dream. Get the cg on point and u will mould into it strait away .. a very nice model to fly .. any other questions or any other worries u have just message and I will try to help keep your maiden jitters and nerves to a minimal .. 👍🏻
Jolly good one dear chap !!! Can't wait to start building mine. Thank you for your description too as that will help enormously. These overlander 6 cell batteries aren't cheap either , just been looking at them. ( ouch!!!).
Good video, Thanks for doing it. not flown mine just having check before doing my first flight. Got it last week. Lucky I saw yours as mixed elevator wrong way with flaps. Adding more lift when flap are set. Full flaps am doing 12% and half 8% how does that sound?
Nice video, you seem very responsible, being so aware of your environment. Just one question, how does this model transport? Can you remove the wing and if yes, also in two pieces? It's quite a biggie for me due to storage and car size :)
hekikuu .. thanks for your kind comment . The wing does unscrew from the fuzz .. .the two wing halves r bonded together I think from memory .. There is a junction box on the centre of the wing so re wiring would be quick ..but if u do it a bunch the connectors have been known to fail ..so good old Y leads would be a good choice ..and just use the junction box for the lights The model fits in my chrysler complete.. stood upright behind the front seats ..
Hmm maybe I should go for the 1.2m version then.. And I'm thinking of selling my NIB Avanti S in exchange for this one (my first Avanti S did not survive the 17th flight, amazing jet but not practical "off-airport")

Nothing like the nervousness you feel from a maiden flight!
Love the paint job looks bang on and the prop blades whistling on the landing is so cool

Paint looks awesome. I have yet to fly mine again after maiden. I need to tweak the elevator and cg. Mine was a tad pitchy on maiden. Nice flight!!
