Is va flicker with freesync enabled really a problem on this monitor or I should not care about it? Anyway, freesync can just be turned off and everything will be ok, yeah?
I bought this monitor because I wanted a high refresh rate monitor with good black levels and little ghosting, and on those fronts it delivers. The colors were good, but not as good as on a wide-gamut IPS monitor like my Gigabyte G24F 2. But the VRR implementation is horrible and causes awful brightness flickering in certain games at certain framerates. In Skyrim with the framerate locked at a constant 60 fps and just standing still looking at the landscape, the monitor's refresh rate would jump allover the place from 60 to 240 Hz and all sorts of numbers in between. This causes the brightness to continually change and the result is terrible flickering, even with a capped and constant framerate and just standing still in a game. So I returned the monitor. Maybe the AOC 25G3ZM doesn't have this problem, but I'm afraid it does because I've read that this brightness flickering with VRR is an issue on almost all high refresh rate VA monitors...
@@TotallydubbedHD You did mention the flickering at 5:12, but I was hoping it would only be minor and only a problem with very unstable uncapped framerates. Haha no you're not, this is crazy good and it's a VA, which really buckles the trend! As mentioned, an impressive monitor!
i got mine today, im really impressed at how fast this va panel is, and im comming from a 240hz tn panel from dell alienware, this one is faster, and has much better contrast, i can see enemies much better in cs2. only bad thing is the TERRIBLE viewing angles, as bad as it can be, if you dont sit in front of the screen the image looks terrible. It also doesnt go very bright, but bright enough for me, i used it at 70% for gaming tonight, now in youtube its at 40%. for this price its a ridicilously good monitor, its better then my 300 euro dell alienware 240hz tn, but ofc that monitor is 6 years old by now.
@@budgetking2591glad you're enjoying it!
I like your review of this monitor, an like the minimalist design, I have seen 2 new ones, one from Capter ce25ultrax that is often on sale here for 150€ “The other versions cost around 225€ here”, and a more interesting lonovo gaming version that they have a boost option on so it’s a 280hz monitor, hope you will take a look at these in the future, and good new year to all
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the review!
Would you recommend this monitor or AOC 24g4x ?
This one is preferred for hardcore gaming

I bought this monitor and I've faced scanlines issues like Samsung Odyssey G7, G8.
Didn't have any such issues myself!
Idk. Maybe my unit is defective. I've faced that scanline in blue and orange color (For example: Windows 10 default wallpaper and human skin color.) @@TotallydubbedHD
@@ozdemiranil not sure. Scanlines on all three monitors though, that's a bit odd...
Hi, I have the same problem (most visible in blue and orange). The monitor is great, the best one tested, but this problem is unacceptable. This is probably caused by the VA matrix, a specific pixel arrangement or too low resolution for 24.5".@@ozdemiranil
Hello man do this monitor have good display scaling or should i use gpu scaling. thanks you.
The general consensus on the internet is to use GPU scaling. Play around with both settings and see what works best for you - likely there won't be any perceivable differences.

Does this look good on the ps5?
240hz is useless on ps5
Hey sir, me again :). Im about to buy now the Evnia 240hz VA or the AOC Va. in both videos you ofcourse mentioned the Input Delay which for the Evnia shows 1.1ms and the AOC 2.2ms, are those numbers correct? if yes i will get the Evnia now. I just need to know if that is the real truth :-), trough your link ofcourse , thanks in advance
Heya, the testing methodology for both was different so I wouldn't compare the two input lag figures. Thus, why the AOC is not listed in the comparative graph. Subjectively, they were near-identical.
aight, thx@@TotallydubbedHD
@@Sooluuss no worries. If you're going via Amazon, links in the description give me commission :)
@@TotallydubbedHD I bought it, and its here. It has a really cool panel. very fast. alot of options. Easy Menu. Im verry happy. In CS2 all shots are just instant, the input lag is godlike. Even when im still running a RX570 4GB from 2019. Now i bought a RTX 3600 12gb + RYZEN 9 5900X. No bottlenecking and good sync, i switch from AMD Graphics to Nvidia back again, i heard a lot of good things about nvidia reflex, and input stuff. Before i was on a Ryzen 5 3600. @@TotallydubbedHD ı cant understand
How would you say the viewangle is on this VA monitor, if you remember and still use it? :)
From memory it wasn't an issue, but does have a slight red tint from the side, and at extreme angles it (and other VAs) won't compete with an IPS.
bought one week ago.i would highly recommend if you look for a va panel
I got both and the Evian is much better in Input lag and quality
Interesting...
Does it have a croshair
yes

is there any problems with the monitor? im deciding if i should buy it

i recieved it today, and so far im very impressed, just tried some cs2 deathmatch, seemed very good so far, but tonight i have some time to properly test it, the 10bit color depth really makes the image look great.@@honeypuff1k747
so i played with it tonight, im very impressed with it, very fast reponse and great contrast, i can see enemies in cs2 much better now, only the viewing angles are terrible, so if you are not exactly in front of the monitor, the image will look bad, never seen a monitor with so bad viewing angles ever, but if you sit right in front of it, its beautifull, it also goes bright enough, but not very bright, i used it at 70% brightness for gaming.@@honeypuff1k747
I could immediately tell on CS:GO that this monitor is a budget monitor, but hey 240hz is 240hz and if you don't wanna exhaust your wallet then this monitor might be the way to go. Not for me though, sadly.
How so?
What are you even talking about, this monitor has one of the higher contrast ratio's of all gaming monitors besides oled, and here you are saying you can see its a budget monitor according to the gameplay footage, while image quality if one of its strong points.......
