Hi Flo oil filter company makes a filter for the 1200 engines. I dont know about the 1260 or V4 engine. They use the best filter membranes i have evaluated.
The dealer has to do it or there are more options out there now to be able to by the OBD connectors and an app on your phone to reset the service notifications. Unfortunately I don't have any personal experience on that though so cannot personally speak to their ease of use or not. I just put up with the annoying notification. Thank you for watching.
Just change the oil on my 2018 Pikes Peaks yesterday. I’ve seen some people remove the plate that is held on with the 4 bolts, then clean the cone screen. Have you seen that also? I removed the 4 bolts but saw that it was sealed with silicone and didn’t have any to re-silicone it, so I just put the bolts back in.
I saw that on old video I watched as well. I will remove and clean during this coming winters oil change. Don't know the frequency of removing this as I cannot find it mentioned in the manual.
Mine has not been leaking any oil. If it's leaking around the plug, did you replace the crush washer? If it's leaking by screen that was discussed above, did you remove the old gasket and use sealant when reinstalling?
@@Fentventures I am going to check this weekend. I took the bike to the dealer to do its one year service. A couple of months after that, it started leaking oil.
Good video and good call on filling the filter. Pro engine builder tip, that!

Thanks for the vid Fent.
Thanks for sharing. How do you reset the maintenance dash light? Is it doable without going to the dealer?
Unfortunately the lights can only be reset at the dealer.
Is there no coarse filter for oil from the mesh?
There is a coarse mesh however Ducati indicates that it is only inspected at the first service which I had done at the Dealer.
Great job, very helpful 👏
Does changing ones own oil void the warranty
Thank you for watching.. According to the dealer no, servicing your own bike does not void the warranty.
