    I have a Sileno Smart mower for 2 years now! I love it! ❤ Will the software be updated or Lona is only for the NEW models? 🤔

    is a smart sileno life 1000 bought in 2021 will be compatible with LONA throw smarphone and firmeware update available or it's only available for new 2022 bought models ?

      Hey Thibaud, LONA is not a pure software feature, but also requires new hardware. So only a smart SILENO from this year has the LONA functionality. There will never and can never be an update for existing mowers.

      @@GardenaWorldwide with the ability to define zones does this mean with Lona we don't need a boundary wire? Or maybe as a hack use perimeter wire at the start to map the initial map then I can remove?

      @@GardenaWorldwide What about obstacles like a trampolin or a tree?
      Or will it be enough with just the boundary wire?
      Sidenote: Our garden is pretty straight forward and not that big either.

      Hello,
      It depends on the obstacles. With the trampoline legs for example, it all depends on what they look like. With U-legs, there is a risk that the robotic lawnmower will run over them, so we recommend laying the boundary wire here. With normal, straight legs, the robotic lawnmower can also bump into them. For a tree you should build an island around it using the boundary wire.

    hello gardena im from swiss i have a problem i have a metall chair with a table and i want to make a area protect because the mower scratch and is damaged i already used it for this i can‘t mow when you don‘t release the area protect in my gardena app there is a message available on may but there is still no update on it there is only 2 days left till new month please release it i can‘t use the mower

    I have bought a Gardena Smart SILENO life 700 Lona. It works great, except for that I can't use the AreaProtect function. I can't find it! I can edit the map in the Smart app, but there's no way to add areas. Help!

    Where can I purchase a unit? Amazon lists several, and the naming and differences are very confusing. I can’t tell the differences between models.
    Any help would be appreciated.

      @@NB-Philly Gardena replied in another comment that LONA has hardware changes. I haven't read up on LONA but I know "Smart" is a special daughtercard inside the mower. It's not sold as an upgrade, I would guess it won't accept it but not sure.

    I have bought this one before.Sometimes it does what you expect it to do and sometimes it does completely the opposite, nothing without saying why.The link between mower and app is useless and inaccurate. Not accurately feeding back what it currently does.The LONA map is inaccurate and you can’t adjust it.Finding it starting points are intermittently successful.
    Support is not helpful as we are not actually getting anywhere as they’re not actually saying how to fix it.This mower is brand new and can’t do an update over wifi.Later I bought Anthbot mower.It's much better.

      ​@@GardenaWorldwide Well I'm in the process of buying a lawn robots for the summer for my father and possible some aunts and uncles in Germany (all 80+).(I don't have a robot either, just started to look this weekend in UA-cam to make myself smart about robot lawn mower). This video barley explains a potential buyer what is special about this robot. The videos special effects and other show elements are not really explaining what is going on and the music is too loud and too much. I know this robot seems to be something my father and my aunts and uncles really would like to have.
      In short, have video that tells how this robot works, how does it do it job, what can it do. Keep it simple and to the point. Think about somebody who never had a lawn robot before and has seen it only in gardens of neighbors (where often run cheap lawn robots that don't do a so great job).
      FYI: My father has more than 50 smart home devices: nest smoke detectors, google doorbell, irrigation, roller shutter motors (from Rademacher), smart light switches, smart garage opener.

However, this video is a first teaser for the new technology and therefore does not have it's focus on explaining everything in detail. There will be more videos coming, explaining the robotic lawnmower in detail with all features and technology. We will also upload step by step videos when it comes to installing the product.
