@jamies9040 I know this comment is a year old, but I felt compelled to share the good news. Caitlin did play the role in a regional theater in 2018, the summer before Prom opened on Broadway. She reprised the role in 2019, in a one weekend-only regional production, with Izzy as Joan, and Jenn Colella as Adult Alison. I wish I could've seen it. It'd be great if all 3 of them could reprise their roles for the upcoming film adaptation (although it's apparently going thru some change of creative team, they're apparently still trying). And, since movie musicals love adding songs for the awards potential, they might as well add a song that includes Joan's vocals.
I love this! Most performances of this song are a bit too absurdistic/exaggerated for my taste. This is perfection!
