Hi Tara! I’m so glad you swatched the NARS foundation this week. I’ve been wanting to try it and noticed the same thing on the site about the shades. I’m close in tone to you but maybe slightly darker so I’m curious if you do try a new shade what it will look like. When I first saw your channel years ago I always thought that the hauls would make me want to buy more. But, it’s the opposite. I watch and can see the colors better in your swatches and I feel like I can honestly make better decisions knowing more about the products and what will or will not work for me. Thank you so much!
Tara! You are my "skin-tone twin" when it comes to foundation shades! I also just received the shade Vienna in the Nars foundation because of the description "light medium with cool undertones". When I first swatched it, I was so disappointed because it is SOOOOO yellow. I don't understand why some makeup companies cannot figure out what "cool toned" really is. It's probably my number 1 pet peeve. I like the foundation, and the feel of it, but am probably returning it because that shade is just a deal breaker for me. I look jaundiced in the face when I wear it. I can usually make a shade that is even a "neutral" tone work just fine, but this is just outright yellow against my cool toned skin.
I was so surprised at the price of the new Fenty lipsticks! Fenty has been mid-teir in pricing but the lipsticks are like Lisa Eldridge and Pat McGrath prices 😳 Happy Saturday!

I love Alien. It’s a shame they were forced to change their name. Every pallet I have I love. The Not Normal pallet is just amazing. I finally was able to grab the Fall Pallet! It’s been out of stock for a while. I did not realize those two top shades in the Lore pallet stained. Maybe I did not notice before when I used then but I use a P Louise base. I really appreciate you pointing that out if I decide to change eye base. Noted! ❤️ I am so glad Angie put you on PR for Oden’s / well I think she would as she said before she watches your videos. I can’t wait to get that tonight! Her Club Nebula pallet was fantastic. It’s a collector piece for me. Thank you for pointing out things that we need to watch for in general. ❤️💯

YUP YUP YUP! Tara u just nailed it w/NARS’s foundations! It’s so annoying because I’m a SUPER COOL undertone & people who are truly cool need their foundation to be pink not peach! Peach is not cool people, peach is peach. Nars doesn’t even make a foundation shade that I can wear! I can’t even mix 1up. My BEST shade matches all come from the original CoverGirl TruBlend line - nobody makes a pinker foundation! I’m a light-medium to medium shade normally & med-tan in the summer. Try finding a cool pink foundation in medium. Only CoverGirl TruBlend offers a perfect shade match for me & it doesn’t matter the time of yr either.
Used to be all the light shades were pink lol... im fair and yellow undertoned, and when I was in high school all I could find was pink... it can be frustrating...
@@redzgirl2476 yup. I seem to remember that. Pink or neutral is what I remember. Then….. idk within the last decade maybe, companies really began catering to the neutral to yellow/warm undertones. I’m just thankful that I have that one brand/line to always fall back on. Additionally, the Wet n Wild tinted hydrator is almost identical to the CG TruBlend formula & I can actually wear it without any shade or undertone issues. For $5, that’s pretty good!
Always love your videos! I love when you show indie brands. Alien cosmetics/Unearthly cosmetics has an eyeshadow palette with only those shiny multichrome/ duochrome shimmers maybe 16 shades. Mine is on the way. It looks stunning from what I've seen so far 😍

I’m not sure if Menegerie even made the purple palette because it just said ‘sold out’ when I looked at re-launch. I loved this week’s haul!
I ordered the same Menagerie highlighter, probably way too light for me. The gold highlighter looked light too. Got to try the Jill Stuart blush and really love the formula! Hope they make deeper shades soon! Can't wait to get my Hela palette!
Hi Tara! I’m with you about the Odens eye palettes! I haven’t tried them yet, and I too wish I’d gotten the other legendary diversa collection!! I was on a no buy (for myself)… since the holidays were coming… so sad I missed them!
I am neutral toned, but leaning more pink and Nars neutrals are very yellow. I wear Mont Blanc, but it looks too dark and yellowy, so I got the new one that you have here in Mont Blanc and Oslo, and mixed they are perfect. I always have to mix two, because I'm not true neutral but straight pink is too pink. It is a beautiful foundation, though and my favorite next to the Colourpop hyaluronic hydrating one.
Tara try getting the la colors white mixer for you’re darker foundation. It doesn’t mess with the formulas and it does a great job at lightning foundations.
The blushes with the Polar Bear 🐻 are gorgeous! The pan size is perfect for me since I have quite a few. 😂 I wish Oden's Eye would re-release the original three from the diverse collection. Great haul, great video as usual. 😉👍🏼
Tara I also purchased the LP4 shade of the LYS Concealer and it is def not cool at all. It for sure has a peachy tint to it and it is also not fair. I have the LP4 shade in the foundation and that is a perfect match for me. The concealer is def darker
I think Liora did a video swatching and trying on all the Fenty lipstick shades, I haven't watched it yet but I saw it come up if you want to check out all the colors to see what you would like. I'm with you I like lighter nudes and it seems like Everytime I order 💄 I feel kinda upset because they are never what I think they are gonna be. The pink polar bear highlight is so pretty and I always love their packaging.
All the Nars foundation run super yellow. I was wondering if that swanie eye cream has a sent to it or is it frangerance free. Have you checked out the Medicube the ingredients list is amazing I'm thinking about ordering that next but I really like the cosrx snail peptide eye cream and the algenist eye balm.
@@Tarababyz thanks for letting me know, I was kinda interested in it I have looked at it a few times. The Medicube eye cream is the peptide one I think their is a few different ones. Yea all the Nars run yellow but you will be able to get a lighter shade but it will still have a yellow ting to it.

For NARS foundation, I have to buy the shade Oslo to have this pink undertone rather than peach undertone . I’m not sure if that shade would be ok for you ( it’s difficult to be sure on camera …) but I can say that Oslo isn’t too fair … I have a little question … where did you buy your little tool to remove magnetize products from the packaging ? I think you will like the Nars shade Yukon better. I usually use Mont Blanc which is one shade lighter than Yukon but I purchased Oslo (one shade lighter than Mont Blanc) in this foundation. Oslo is definitely more of a pink cool undertone but could be too light for you. Thank you for your videos!
Hi Tara. I’m a Mac NW15 and for the new Nars foundation I have to mix Oslo and Mont Blanc. Hope that helps because you and I have similar shades in some of the other foundations you’ve reviewed. Edited to add: I’m a little more neutral leaning and a teensy bit less cool than you in undertone.

I share your pain for not buying the other Oden collabs, I actually had that on my list for blackfriday, remember the sale was going on when I was getting my hair done and saw all 3 were available so I thought "I'll make the order once I'm done" and bam! Giant wolves was sold out and it was the one I wanted the most so wasn't interested anymore but then everyone started naming them in the best lists of 2021 so I thought "maybe I'll get them" but of course, they were gone by then, why, why did I have to wait to get my hair done? lol
I wear Yukon in Nars matte foundation and had to go into Sephora to get color matched in Nars. I find their foundation descriptions very deceiving. I tried Deauville Vienna and Mont Blanc and finally gave up and went in store. I find their foundation colors either pull really pink or really yellow. But do think Nars makes great foundation IF you can get the right shade.
Btw, LYS means Love Your Self. It is L.Y.S pronunciation. You just say each letter. I’m loving their beautiful cream bronzer and brushes. My dry skin loves their products! I’m so happy that you like them too. 🥰
I bought the nars foundation on a hype! It does have a beautiful finish but unfortunately didn’t work for me…after just a couple hours it sat on my pores giving me texture that I didn’t even know I had! I also broke out around the chin area…
Angelica put up a 3 look video and before that one she put up one that was like an intro for the palette. You said everything the way she did. She told a lil story about the mythology of Hela. She also said the art on the package is her. If you haven't seen the videos and you get a minute they were interesting and she did make 3 gorgeous looks. I love the look you made too. I really want the palette. I've never been like oh I love this palette I must have it but I do really like that one.

Tara If you watch closely you can find the other legendary Diversa collab palettes on Mercari. Some are very over priced but some are average. I would pay a lot if I really wanted them though. I love mine and ordered on launch day. Can’t believe you didn’t get them in PR

I got the new nars foundation and I don't return anything and I am returning it. I am completely breaking out from it. I got the shade light 5 fiji and it is super orange. Also it smells so bad. I can't even describe it. But it is a huge no for me. To orange and I don't want to wear it with it breaking me out. Hopefully u can make it work!

I wish more foundations were cool pink toned like guerlain. The one that looks good on me imo is actually a Joan Collins one - yes, I was surprised too! I didn't get along with LE, too drying, so I may try the nars in 2.5. Love the longer videos 💖

I tried so many foundations…even more expensive formulas…but it really polishes things perfectly. I would likely look for something else if I needed to repurchase it several times a year…those Sephora gift cards at Christmas help! 🙂

That Fenty lipstick reminds me of KKW lipsticks, shade-wise. Love the lipstick mechanism though. Reminds me of old school Estée Lauder lipsticks.

I share your pain for not buying the other Oden collabs, I actually had that on my list for blackfriday, remember the sale was going on when I was getting my hair done and saw all 3 were available so I thought "I'll make the order once I'm done" and bam! Giant wolves was sold out and it was the one I wanted the most so wasn't interested anymore but then everyone started naming them in the best lists of 2021 so I thought "maybe I'll get them" but of course, they were gone by then, why, why did I have to wait to get my hair done? lol

My Menagerie order FINALLY shipped last week but won't be here til next week. I ordered both highlighters and two single shadows.
I wear Yukon in Nars matte foundation and had to go into Sephora to get color matched in Nars. I find their foundation descriptions very deceiving. I tried Deauville Vienna and Mont Blanc and finally gave up and went in store. I find their foundation colors either pull really pink or really yellow. But do think Nars makes great foundation IF you can get the right shade.

I bought the nars foundation on a hype! It does have a beautiful finish but unfortunately didn’t work for me…after just a couple hours it sat on my pores giving me texture that I didn’t even know I had! I also broke out around the chin area…
Angelica put up a 3 look video and before that one she put up one that was like an intro for the palette. You said everything the way she did. She told a lil story about the mythology of Hela. She also said the art on the package is her. If you haven't seen the videos and you get a minute they were interesting and she did make 3 gorgeous looks. I love the look you made too. I really want the palette. I've never been like oh I love this palette I must have it but I do really like that one.

Tara If you watch closely you can find the other legendary Diversa collab palettes on Mercari. Some are very over priced but some are average. I would pay a lot if I really wanted them though. I love mine and ordered on launch day. Can’t believe you didn’t get them in PR

Also, I've ordered kvd concealer in 107 haven't gotten it yet but pretty sure it'll be too light for me since I'm very close to your skintone and undertone (maybe half a shade darker than you) 😭😭😭😭😭 can you please remind me which shade in no. 7 foundation do you wear?

I got the new nars foundation and I don't return anything and I am returning it. I am completely breaking out from it. I got the shade light 5 fiji and it is super orange. Also it smells so bad. I can't even describe it. But it is a huge no for me. To orange and I don't want to wear it with it breaking me out. Hopefully u can make it work!

I wish more foundations were cool pink toned like guerlain. The one that looks good on me imo is actually a Joan Collins one - yes, I was surprised too! I didn't get along with LE, too drying, so I may try the nars in 2.5. Love the longer videos 💖

@@rachela2727 it is but I don’t need a lot of coverage so I only buy a bottle once a year so it works for me. I tried so many foundations…even more expensive formulas…but it really polishes things perfectly. I would likely look for something else if I needed to repurchase it several times a year…those Sephora gift cards at Christmas help! 🙂

I don't find NARS does cool anything. They're all peach or the yellowest yellow. So often have gorgeous finishes though. I'm interested in this one.
I love the More Blonde - i use a pink gloss on top if i want more pink on - I don’t buy TF because of their tendency to get rancid and at high cost
