I've read that book called Playland by Anthony Daly. It was a horrifying read and I feel for all of those poor boys abused at the Dilly as it was called. I won't call them rent boys or prostitutes as it's impossible for children to be those things in my opinion. They cannot consent. I believe them, having been sexually abused as a child myself, I know how far evil adults will go to abuse and destroy someone weaker than themselves. It never leaves you.

So, I'm a psychology student and I was recently horrified to find out two things about police officers. The first, is that there is a cap (limit) of how intelligent an officer of the law can be. At least in America, you can be disqualified for having an above average intelligence. The second was learning about psychopathic traits- specifically the lack of guilt, remorse or compassion. If one is high in those traits, they are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to join the police force or become doctors, specifically surgeons. That leaves a systematic loophole for dumb and remorseless individuals to be in higher concentration amongst the police force. That seems counterproductive to what a good cop should be. Yes, they can quickly save 20 by sacrificing one at the blink of an eye, but the likelihood for greedy, power-hungry, bribable cops to look the other way is high. Jon, you are so smart and doing great work. I wish more cops were like you.

@@hereiam587 Two of my college textbooks and one hour long talk from a professor and expert on psychopathic traits, look up Eysenck and the P-scale. He's still referenced in college criminal justice courses, it's basically from the personality trait theorists. Unfortunately he had some very biased research regarding race and IQ but H. Eysenck brought us a way to measure psychopathic traits and other professionals and experts have expanded on the information. More recently Jordan Peterson has talked about the traits regarding extroversion and disagreeable personality traits overlapping with Psychopathic traits, but that's also challenged. I also read, watch and listen to a lot of professors and experts regarding forensic psychology. A big factor in what I have read and researched is when these traits are identified, it's important to guide the individual to where they will succeed and cause the least amount of harm while playing into their strengths.

Years ago, I spoke to someone who used to be a local journalist who reported on the case & they said that there was a lot more that could potentially come out about their crimes & about people in the community that may have witnessed or taken part in illegal activities at their house etc. Wasn’t it said that he was about to spill more info just before he killed himself? This case always gets to me - I went to school not too far away & remember when it happened. I even once went to see a mate in Gloucester years after and we were walking back to her house and she said ‘Do you know where you are right now?’ Turns out we were walking right over where 25 Cromwell St. used to be. Gave me chills that did. 😐

Hi Ron and Jon, great to listen to this from Jon albeit the people he’s telling us about are utterly horrendous. Just touching on Jon’s stories regarding the sort of people Police are employing now. Back in the late 80’s In the British Army, I was mates with a PT instructor. I always remember about some point in the late 90’s early 2000’s he said to me that he had been incredibly busy of late because he was having to revise the whole physical entrance test to get into to the regiment. When I asked him “what do you mean, revise?” He said they were having to make it so much easier because the lads that were trying to get through it weren’t making the grade and the entry level was so low they were struggling for numbers. I immediately realised that the generations now by and large are not strong willed enough or have the heart in them to get through it.

The bit at the beginning was an eye opener for me. Having been brought up in council estates I always thought that there was a certain 'attitude'. The tie between young men going to war and coming back traumatised and living on the street was a bit of a light bulb moment and gives insight into the areas of deprevation and the attitude. Its behaviours caused by trauma passed down generationally. Very insightful, will try and look up the mentioned study.

In the first world war, all those young men were fodder for the enemy on both sides. War is money for the arms companies and our politicians have shares or own these companies so they're always hungry for war. They're piling arms into the Ukraine. All Zelensky seems interested in is joining NATO but that won't happen until the war is over.

here it is in a paragraph. the 'dirty dozen' were 'known' about from the late 60s. i've found it in a crime cypher i cracked. never just a dozen and not always the same members. their apparent lack of personal hygiene is a reference to soap (the lack of it). Cussens (imperial leather!) was the surname of the man who got off scot free in the ruth ellis murder trial in 1955. they are here because we no longer have the death penalty but the main characters are u.s. 5 families. cooke even looks like one of them, same sallow complexion, inward and slanting teeth. giancana. the mob involvement stems from murray the hump, the mobs treasurer through prohibition who got very rich. he was from caersws, mid wales (lennie smith territory) he bought a ranch and was well liked locally as he flung money from his car in the local townships and bought presents for local children. (nothing criminal about it from what i can gather). u.k. toy shop chain called Zodiac in the 50s/60s/70s and those are the ciphers i am working on.

So was around 1987 i was 8 years old, and lived in a ( what i thought was a secured close) i was in the garden with my brothers and a man with a bald head popped his head over the fence, 1 2 3 times, and i told my mum about it and she said i kid you not( oh maybe his from the mental health hospital a field away from where we lived)
1 week later.. we was on our roller skates with a friend over the road, and was skating up and down the close and a white car stopped in the entrance, a man with a bald head and boiler suit, tried to grab us, my friend was older and bigger then me and she screamed, screamed so loud!
    And they drove off...
I remember skating back and told my dad, he was in the front garden cutting the grass. He ran down to see if anyone was there bless him!
My mum called the police and i swear in my life ( nothing happened) no visit... No investigation! Zilch

This stuff CANNOT be ignored, and we must all do our best to not only honour the bravery and grit of these folks that are exposing evil, but also to bring justice for the abused/murdered/sacrificed and make a hell of a noise in order to stop anyone else from going through this abject horror. Great work guys and gals, God bless you all day long. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I grew up in the 60s and 70s. I would say the uk was a lot safer place then than what it is now. Oh don’t get the impression we had it easy. I was born in the early 50s. For the first 9 years of my life we had no electricity, although we did have gas. No hot running water. We had a tin bath. Which my mother had to boil the gas copper. No indoor facilities. No flushing system (my father had to empty the toilet at the bottom of the garden. My dad didn’t earn a lot of money. I had a special needs sister (in those days they would call her mentally handicapped. We also had two pair of clean underwear. One change of clothing etc etc.

At the start of the book , he said...if ever the devil was walking amongst us and had a face it would be Fred West. I had to keep stopping and having a break from reading it, as it was too disturbing. when id finished the book i passed it on to someene who couldnt read it, he burnt it

I think you ought to look into the case of Thomas Hamilton, the Dunblane shooter, whose records were sealed for 75yrs by the Scottish courts, he was allegedly supplying child porn to the great and notso good of the Scottish hierachy, his post mortem found two headshots from a revolver in his "apparent" suicide. There's the owner of the large silver sloon car that was seen dropping him off at home on the morning prior to the shooting who has never been traced and the missing period of around 45 mins between leaving home and arriving at the school.
There's a lots of unanswered questions, including the boat he bought cheap from a police auction, which later blew up in what many think was an attempt to silence him, though officially put down as a leaky gas bottle on board.

    Jon,
I've a lot of respect for your work however could you reconsider some of your perspective and use of words...
Eg..no child accepting 'help' from any dangerous person 'seals their (own fate).
    The perpetrator did that.
    Also
Saying someone has a big 'sexual appetite' does not necessarily drive rape or sexual torture.
Children are not 'broken in' .They are sexually assaulted/kidnapped for the purpose of.../raped.
Please be clear, truthful but kinder in your terminology particularly here and there where you almost describe victim suffering from a perp's perspective...
A shift towards understanding the need for delicacy of more appropriate words for survivors or victims you refer to and also any who might be listening.
I've heard you speak more respectfully about survivors, victims, women, people with intellectual issues etc
In the past. This is rougher than I've heard you speak before.
I'm so glad you are speaking though.
The 'dots' you make are so important and thank-you for your speaking.

My grandad fought in Operation Ironclad; he was sent into battle with the Vichy French. He ended up with what we now call PTSD and he had difficulties being a father to his large family. By the time I was born he was a transformed man and I worshipped him, but the impact on my father and aunts and uncles was undeniable. Sending young men to be brutalised like that, then acting surprised society goes off the rails, it’s crazy, I hope for a more compassionate time.
