New slogan: Intel Outside.
😂😂😂 very funny
📱💻📱📡📱💻💾📱📱💻☎💻📱💻OMG INTEL OUTSIDE????? 💻🎥🔊🍐🍰🍊🍪🍪📂📲📲📲📲
I'm crying fr 😂😂😂😂
+alexa mae. . . and ARM inside :).
Intel,'' Experience That's Outside''
What the people there heard. 'BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ'
hahhahahha
You mean the orchestrators
absolutely the truth
I've been flying drones for a few years and this is the first I've heard about people being scared or worried about drones. WTF am I missing? What are these people talking about?
I thought the US Military has the highest record for ''Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) Airborne Simultaneously''
o
"Cyka" at the end of the video.
+Egon Marić LOL
+Egon Marić
LOL
+Egon Marić He says "So geil!" it's german for "so awesome!" it sounds like "Cyka" though.
+Egon Marić This is word "Cyka" in Russian? Это как сука))
Egon Marić cyka?
Intel should sell this software to the public. Can you imagine the 4th of July with a light show like this with fireworks in the background synchronized to American themed music....that would be awesome!!!!!
The future of fireworks. I mean everything else is going green right? No more fireworks in the future
As spectacular as that was, I don't ever see fireworks going away. :)
+Jordan E The only problem is the price difference, 100 drones is about 100.000 dollars :P
+Jordan E although the drones are capable of bringing the light aspect there is something captivating about seeing something blow up , that drones can't really , affordable replace.
+Jordan E Never!
This is 'Murica, we require explosions.
+Jordan E Fireworks are getting harder to get in the UK. Various countries are already starting to limit "drones" in the sky. Some even asking pilots to register any aircraft over a certian weight ( 90g i think). Soon we won't see anything in the sky lol.
Why the edits? Just show the drones. What is this a commerci.......... oh.
+Fibr3Optix Where else is the money to fund this random project going to come from? -.-
+Fibr3Optix The funniest part is how they mix Beethoven with the Intel Logo sound. Ultimate vanity right there!
You noticed they had to do and film this outside of the USA. Thank you FAA for crushing innovation...
The FAA is going around congress with their new rule and taking in the fear more than the innovation.
Mark Lawler how about you blame the people that are abusing their drone privileges instead? You know the morons that are flying near airports and in the path of airplanes? I bet if some jackass caused a plane to crash that a friend or loved one of yours was on you'd be asking the FAA why haven't they done more.
I'm fairly sure a permit exception would have been granted, if required. Intel is an international corporation so their efforts here are centered in Europe. Probably not more complicated than that.
Just a point of interest.... Drone shows are a focal point of many Airshows now........... OSHKOSH being one of them............ Just an FYI.
does the performance remind anyone of "Close encounters of the third kind" final scene?
+jigglymabob Yes! Was just about to say that.
+jigglymabob I think that was their intention.
+jigglymabob First thing I thought too...
jigglymabob XF
I love how the Intel logo and sound appears, magnificent !!
"As humans we are equipped with hope" when telling why they thought they could pull this off. Just beautiful. Art like this does give me hope for humankind.
Wow... just beyond wow. I'm honestly speechless. Well done +Intel! Looking forward to more technological advancement from you guys.
This is nothing compared to what they did for their 50th birthday! Watch it! 1500 drones.
Amazing Creation. Amazing People! Congratulations Intel!
You know in the Movie Christmas Story where he figures out the "Secret Message from Annie", is actually an ad that says.. Make sure to Drink Your Ovaltine".... kinda feel like that is what Intel did here...
More focus on showing the drone performance. Less on cinematic choreography. Even less on cheezy PR.
+David Lorell thank you
Lol, the Internet armchair critics always have something negative to say no matter what.
Brandon Cruz Brandon... it's constructive criticism. I really did want to see the drone performance without all the smoke and mirrors.
+David Lorell heh. its the other away around for us developers.. More cinematic choreography programming, less everything else.
+christopher jones I meant the filming and frantic cuts/editing, not the choreographed movements of the drones, Christopher.
Thank you intel enthusiasts everywhere ..! Merci aux passionnés d'Intel partout ..!
5 years later and they're up to 1200 drones. :) Has anyone come up with a Moore's Law for drones yet? ;)
Mujhe v iss working me job chaiye sir Prr mera Koi nhi dunyaa😴
3:47 meanwhile the fox out of woods is watching this and thinking, wtf are this humans doing? trying to breed?
It could stand to be a lot more precise. The formations aren't lined up very straight.
Some liquid fuel sprayed into the downdraft from the props of each drone would look like rocket engines. There you go. Drones and fireworks combined.
I guess it wasn't that fascinating since they only showed the drones for 1/3 of the time
wow ... Intel you are the best
Awesome idea & implementation. Only question is...how long can they fly before the battery dies? My best battery does 25 mins max so not sure how long you could put shows on for using this technology.
Well done all. What an amazing spectacle! Incredible. The future......
Bravo to the Ars Electronica Team behind it and to Intel to Support this kind of Research.
this is by far the most highest production youtube video i have ever seen
Ask NOT what your drone can do for you, but what you can do for your drone.
let's be realistic, they used Nvidia or AMD gpus for their demanding 3d software. not intel hdxxxx crap.
i was right. 03:30
+johnnyxp64 Nerd
Vick Vinegar thanks. Someone has to be.
+johnnyxp64 Of course, and GPUs are not Intel's focus. Intel's job is making top-of-the-line CPUs and the HDxxxx series is simply for basic to medium users that don't render, game, or use other 3D-intensive applications.
+johnnyxp64 That 980 is still sexy tough XD
Impressive! I would love to watch an open air concert with such drones decorating the sky, moving and and lightning the sky according to the played music ...
The funny thing is each of those drones most likely uses a TI Micro controller.
Intel: Elegantly beautiful
It was great seeing the machines acting in according to our wishes.. let's have all the fun now ,else in future this is not wat v r going to see...I mean Iater v may b under the wish of MACHINES..SCARY BUT TRUE👍👍👍👍
Why don't you push opensource/ free software? Instead of bunching up with Microsoft! And the driving power behind this company is money only!! Not to mention Nvidia and the dirty marketing tricks they do!!
Agh! All the extra notes added into Beethoven's 5th symphony, totally unnecessary, made it sound worse! Beethoven 5 is a masterpiece. You don't add crappy synthesiser sounds to it. Apart from that, cool concept.
Queria um drone desses, mas aqui no Brasil tudo é muito caro!!
if you have watched Lady Gaga's half-time show, there was similar but short performance using these drones. I believed it was sponsored by Intel.
Hello, Please anyone can solve this issue--How can I interface temperature sensor LM35 directly to intel edison mini breakout board?I have tried on Arduino uno and it works but not on intel edison mini breakout board and blocks.
maybe you could even use them for airplane routes or something, bec when they fall, the drones maybe have cameras that filmes everything... or you just let one drone sit on an airplane that filmes everything and checks if its okay
yeah small cameras in the sky filming everything great idea
+Intel
This dumbed down corporate nonsense, instead of accurate scientific information, is doing great harm to your company.
E.g. Why the disarray in the grid-pattern of the drones at 5:12 ? Was that caused by the bad quality of Intel chips?
+GerardsCorner Aplologies accepted, but if this was too difficult for you, why did you not pick something, that you are actually capable of handling for public display?
This half-finished gallimaufry and farrango only gives you and your company a bad name.
Illuminator stfu and go watch some conspiracy theory videos moron. Make sure your tin foil hat is on nice and tight.
2:47 "Rules and Reg-uh-lations"
Less than 2 years later 1,280! 🥇👍😎
Everyone's excited about the lights. I'm like, imagine the kind of swarm logic they had to use to automate that whole thing.
*"I'm like, imagine the kind of swarm logic they had to use to automate that whole thing."*
Also, how many radio channels? I assumed the flight paths would have been pre-programmed into the drones having been worked out previously in computer apps, but it does look like they have controllers running the show.
@@lusoverse8710no it's mission flight paths uploaded ahead of time. No need for traditional hobby radio receivers with channels. All digital protocols to upload the path data and once the show starts they follow it autonomously and land.
drone 100 challenge. make 100 automated purpose drones, automatic ship welding drone, brush cutting drone, yard cleaner et cetra
My 🎩 off Intel.... you guys are amazing 😉
Ok drone makers i'm fed up of your drone models i want a different model, how about the isreali spyplane that both us and israel uses............
downside is that this is not art if you're promoting intel - upside is that it's cheaper than orchestrated fire works
Con Nicholas congrats on being an ignorant kill joy.
No body can call you crazy.
I can see your effort.
You people are Supermen.
Om Mani Padme Hum.
Are Intel Aero Compute boards used for these drones as a flight controller board?
If you're done with your little experiments, can you give me one of those ROG laptops?
You must have recieved a call from the Pentagon.
Intel Outside (outside the reach and authority of the FAA)
Estaria re piola que los drones se conectaran entre si con lineas de luz de alguna manera, de nada intel
Great video, thumbs up. Cheers from Sint Maarten
How about Intel you start working on fixing this planet? Gather a team to fix the problem of clean energy. Make these technologies available for free for humanity. How about you start giving back to the population that has supported you by buying your products??? How about the average people starts getting the benefits of technologies that in reality actually MAKE a difference in respect to the quality of life?? Art... Art must represent the expression of the population in the present.. and this present has a lot of needs and expressions.. and music with a bunch of drones ain't one of them. Just saying... Needs and peoples' suffering has to end.. And YOU MUST HELP!
Daniel Alexander Lugo no one or no one company has to a fucking thing about it. get over yourself, why dont you start a business and do that if you care so much. or fucking go to college.
All these quick cuts make me wonder if it's just CGI...
Also why are there no uploads from spectators? People film the crap out of performances like these with their mobile.
+Balu I´m pretty sure that this is not just CGI. There are no uploads from spectators because only the Intel crew was there. No spectators like random people.
it is dangerous for spectator to go there. anything bad can happens
+Affiq Ikhwan In addition to that no one knew that this would happen there. It was like far outside in the woods so why should anyone pass there?
гипер сложнейшая задача была решена.Это сравнимо, на мой взгляд, с полетом в космос к другой планете.Браво инженерам из интел!!!
Who came here after BTS SPEAK YOURSELF FINAL TOUR??
how many will have reported that as a ufo sightseeing? :)
the performance can not be longer than 10 min-ish to 15 min-ish.. battery can't last that long.
Hi, I saw your show at the Super Bowl and I would like to know if it’s possible to get a show like that in other cities and how much would it cost
There are light show drone companies that you can commission to do a show for you. I can't state the name of any as it would be a conflict of interest for my employer, but do your research and you'll find some. Prices depend on scale (100 vs 1000 drones) but you can expect a minimum of 10,000$. Not cheap
Ques mas facil o mas difisil aser que unos miles de drones formen figuras.
O aser que atomos y electrones y neutrones formen seres vivos o cosas con los programas de computadora
I haven't seen this much beautiful video before..!
I wonder what their maximum flight time is. Maybe 20 minutes?
I didn't think That they were that small, I thought they would at least be the size of a phantom
Honestly, I was a little disappointed by this video; I was really excited to see the drone performance, but after editing that only made up like 20% of the video. I think the longest shot of the drones was for the logo.... @Intel Is there a way to watch a stable shot of the entire performance?
That would be a 168 day video if you want the entire process of producing this video, without the production of the units and the software. You would be bored after 10 minutes.
It's not the drons that look at you. You should look at the drones. What an inspiring talk. This is definitely brilliant for intel. Showing people some light show. Must be really hard to achieve for a company who is just make plane old cpus that process almost like all of the Internet.
+Pasindu Perera lol what, old cpus?
Excuse me sir. I want to know the spec of Drones. Because I'm doing research on drones .Please tell me about Hardware components of drones. I could have used in the further development of engineering education. Dear intel.
Mr.closeeyes intel isnt just one person and why would they have time to reply to you out of the thousands of comments on this video
Amezing... What was the flying time of each drone...!!?
เมื่อโทรศัพท์อยู่ที่แท่นชาร์จเขาจะพูดมันผ่านนาฬิกาข้อมือเมื่อมีสายเรียกเข้า
Mysterio wants your location
At 03:36 the advert/promo gives way to the drones. Their choreographed performance must have been even more impressive up close. The video I think doesn't do them justice.
This would certainly make fireworks night allot safer.
every drone could be a pixel in a planetary tv system.
Yes and you could find a job.
?????
Cуперское светошоу!!
You watching a screen watching what a camera sees on a computer screen showing what a drone sees as it watches more drones
Did the symphony do the job of drowning out the thunder of 100 drones?
anybody know which flight controller Intel used?
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Amazing....
I have an idea which I like to sell it to Intel!Plz lemme know how do I contact them!
0:58 The Illusive Man
Amazing job. Just wow..
Yes it is amazing technology you should create and employ more people for Xmas coming
2018 for no more fire works.
Its really about the lives you saved God has been good in you i appreciate everything you all have done doing and what the lord puts in your ❤ God bless your LIFE
yeah now someones gotta recharge all those batteries...
I let you imagine in a war game what could be the damage of 1000 drone only pulse by robot technology. thank you Intel..
if u love technology as much as me u may of had a tear of joy n overwhelming feeling inside even after i watched this thanks intel u guys rock.......my world ,
I have the same computer they used irl for gaming 😃
I want to second like button for this video. It is awesome.
so that's how batguy project its bat logo. or is it just me?
Filmed with DJI Inspire 1....
great initiative, it's really amazing controlling so many drone just by little amount of pupil and large surprise.....great
Not really pushing "the future of technology" - more like creating a really cool application of an existing technology
2D array of light bulbs could to a similar thing.
Well that record has been smashed but LED the way.
Incredible!! What an innovative thought-provoking idea!! What an awesome sight to behold and experience. I would simply LOVE to work at Intel!!
Wow they use 3ds max software for the animation part of the drone.
