You might think I'm crazy but, put a bowl of hot water with soap in it at night on the floor with a lamp up close to the bowl the fleas will jump toward the heat of the light and drown in the water, put it wherever your fur baby sleeps or is at lot . It worked for , so good . Sandra

It is great to watch your channel again. I don't know what you tube is doing but over the last six months many channels I follow have disappeared and when I find them I am no longer subscribed. The last time I watched you hadn't yet put the top on the cabinet the TV is on. Put salt all over your rug overnight and vacuum the next morning. It will kill the fleas.
You need to put a flea drop on your cats. It starts getting rid of the fleas almost immediately. It might take a two month round to get rid of them. As for your dog itching it could be because you are bathing them too much. This can make them itchy too. Also there are dog drops to0. The medication is kind of pricey but in the long run worth it. Chewey carries these products. Good luck.

I don’t mean to be bossy . I just want to help. Buy flee collars . Cut them put a piece in the vacuum dump can . Put them on the cats and dog. We sprayed our rug with off bug spray and let off bug bombs in. The main living areas . Hope this helps.
Bug bombs is the only thing that ever worked for me when we bought a cat with fleas from a pet store.

I had a dog with a flea problem also and we used the Dawn dish soap hack, and the trick to it is to let it sit on your dog for at least 10 minutes before you wash it off. It works great!

Ask your vet about a cap star tablet. They kill flees they work great! Ofcourse you still have to get rid of them inside with other treatments but I used to work at vet clinic and I’ve seen them work amazing for animals that are covered in fleas!! They will take care of the ones on the animals
I like the advantage multi for cats. It takes care of ear mite stomach parasite and fleas. I read an article that the best way to treat your home is treat your pets. Once the fleas jump on your pet they die

When you have flees, they do not just go away, they lay eggs and anything that you put on to kill the fleas , will not kill the eggs, so it’s a vicious cycle. Get rid of all rugs bedding anything the dogs sleep on. Just have bare floors . You can get flee collars for dogs and cats, there is also a med that you put on the very top of the pets neck, right at the bottom of their heads , if you don’t do the flee cleaning all at one time, they will hop from one host to another, just keep the pets outside for now!

It's hard getting motivated to get rid of stuff. I remember a nice journal called Throw It Away by Guru Notebooks, helped me think through what I was throwing out.
We did flea treatment on our cat and also sprayed furniture and floors with the flea spray from pet stores. They also have no wash shampoo for cats if they don’t like bathing
Fleas hide and lay eggs in furniture, beds, anywhere the cats and dog lay down. If you let your cats outside they will bring in more fleas. You may have to treat the whole house. I know this sounds horrible but fleas are very hard to get rid of.

When you use the Dawn lather up the dog and let it sit for a few minutes and rinse off good the fleas will fall off but also comb his fur from head to his tail in the tub and you may need to sets some fleas bombs off in the house 🙏🙌🙏
Dear Jill, please move the sectional, in the configuration you have with the very long section, to the center of the room where the short end is facing those gorgeous windows. I know your attempting to hide the electronic stuff so put and end table by the window to place it and you can still place another end table next to the short end. You will find that almost every one of your family will be comfortable watching tv when the long section is facing the tv instead of cranking the bodies around each other to see. Also, when you are able, place a long and narrow, low profile console table (or 2) behind the long end and you are able to put a lamp at each end for reading plus some decorative items and the table(s) fill a void behind the sofa but still allows for movement. I would place the end (on the left as I look at this video) at about the window trim of the right window but leave space for a narrow end table between the window and sofa besides the console table (to hide the electronics).

Take the Rug out Dear! If you don’t you will Never get rid of them & put your Cats outside or if you don’t take them to the Vet also to get flea prevention you won’t get rid of them! Another way take the pets outside and all family Members leave and set off flea Bombs! But read directions follow them! Use more than what you need for each room! Good Luck!❤❤❤❤🐶

Use Diatomaceous Earth. You can sprinkle it in the crevices of your furniture or on your rug let sit then vacuum it up. Get the food safe and you can use it on your animals. You can also sprinkle in your yard.
I’ve been using the crap out of a big bag of food grade DE.
Get some flea bombs.. 💐 fleas also live outside, flea collars on your pets and a good flea comb with a bowl of water to drop the fleas into, the comb will pick out many at one time. 💐

I order our flea meds from Pets Megastore in Australia. Takes like a week to come in and you don’t need a prescription from a vet.
Bravest from a vet for the cats. Go to park for a day and put out flea bombs. Takes care period
Try 20 Mule Team borax. Sprinkle it on your carpet and let it sit for 6 or 8 hours then vacuum. Some of the borax will be caught in the carpet for awhile. Don''t worry. The Borax in the vacuum will kill the fleas there. You could also sprinkle it on your furniture and leave it a little while then vacuum. I've used it several times with success. Good luck. ( I also started using Dawn years ago. A guy in the pet store whispered it to me when I was looking at shampoos. Lol)

Get a flea spray for your house and spray the perimeter of each room everyday. Then vacuum after it dries. Do this everyday and they will eventually be gone. I had a bad flea issue. Natural remedies don’t work. Also spray underneath your furniture. Look up the life cycle of fleas. Also spray the underside of your rugs.
Ok, you have to treat the yard for fleas, the whole house, bedding and the cats too. They are hard to get rid of and you have to keep treating the areas for several weeks.
Yep that’s what we’ve been doing, after getting sprayed yesterday we haven’t seen a single flea!
Use baseline and a small tooth comb. It prevents them from jumping and it kills them. A little more work but definitely helps. Also there is a flea bomb you can get that will help.
Start from outside in. Treat your yard if you can. We spread see it with a spreader. It works. We also use Simperica plus it's a monthly pill for our dogs. It's for fleas,ticks,and heartworms.
We got sprayed inside and out and all is well now! Can’t even find a single flea on kiki!
I also like to clean if I can rearange. It makes it so much more motivating. I hate shoes on carpet also. But some people dont do that. I have my livingroom area rug I dont let shoes on, But its so akward if you have company. I just cant ask them to take off shoes. lol. Good idea to pick it up if you having company. I just love having the softness and a place for kids to hang out.

You need to wash all your dog & cats bedding & throw the rug away fleas are probably breeding in it & you also need to clean outside for fleas also & wash your vacuum out too

Dawn dish soap daily will dry out the natural oils in your pets coat. We will wash with dawn and then follow up with Johnson's baby soap.
We had to rip out all of our carpet in our entire house because of fleas (brought in by cats). I feel your pain.
We use an Australian website to order our pet flea/heartworm medication. It's half the cost of Chewy and you don't need a vet prescription. 👍
Some advice if your pet has flees, 10% is on the pet, 90% is in your house. Washing your pet daily with soap is not good for them and does not solve the flee problem. Because the flees will jump right back onto your pet afterwards. Flees need blood to lay eggs. So you need to put flee prevention (pet store) on your pet, like drops, pil (every month) or collar (most good for 8 months). Next to that you need to get rid of the 90% that is in your house (flees, larve and eggs). This you do by using a spray on rugs, curtness (fabrics you can not wash), any fabric that can be washed on 60C wash, vacuum and mop daily for 3 weeks (flee cycle is 3 weeks). Oh and if your pet has flees there is a very high change it also has roundworm. So you might want to tread for that by giving a pil. Because it can transfer to people.
I just got rid of fleas in my house. Everything possible bedding, blankets need to be washed in the hottest water to kill the flea eggs. I was washing pet bedding weekly. U can also spray rubbing alcohol on things it will kill fleas and their eggs on contact. I have 3 dogs and rabbit inside it took me over a month to get it under control. I got home defense and sprayed my yard and house

if you get rx flea med for dog and cats. Should be a huge improvement. After second month they will be gone. If you have a resonable vet, maby you could get a larger supply. If its liquid you can split between animals . Your dog and cats may be same dose.
I used to use flea collars for my dogs and cats,don't they make them anymore? They worked really good,never had a flea or ticks.😊❤

Just letting you know, if you bathe your dog every night that will dry out her skin. Dogs have oils in their skin, just take baby oil after you clean her and will help her not dry out. Also fleas don't like the oil

Can you buy a flea bomb to do your house, also can’t you buy surface spray and also put flea treatment on the back of their necks. We can buy all that at the supermarket in Australia.
Look into the container and see if you see fleas jumping around.. if you do, do not empty the container in the trash can, take It outside away from the house and empty it.
I was keeping the trashcan outside all day and emptying the canister into it, ugh I’m so overwhelmed 😭
Go to a farm store...coastal/tractor supply...what ever you have and they will have flea medication that is strong!!! That's where we get ours. No vet visits needed

Salt on your carpet, bedding etc. treat all areas of the house as you guys can be spreading them around if they are on you. Leave salt in carpet overnight and vacuum first thing. Salt beds while’s washing your bedding. The salt will dry out the fleas and eggs but you need to do this daily for fourteen to twenty one days to break the flea cycle. Make sure to treat all animals. Good luck I know this can be hard.

You really need to hang your rugs outside and leave them out there for awhile. Flees can’t live for long without a warm body host , if you store the rug in your house, you are defeating any purpose of getting rid of them.
We moved to a new house that had a flea infestation, it was the most traumatic thing I’ve ever been through. I got eaten alive. We tried flea bombs, sprays, powder and after two weeks gave up and called the experts in. They did a heat treatment and chemical spray and even that didn’t clear them so that had to come back and go again. They are so difficult to clear because they lay eggs which then respond to movement and hatch. When they’d done we bought gadgets from Amazon that were heat lamps over sticky pads. They work really well. About £15. If you see one pinch between your fingers then drop it in to dish soap water but make sure it doesn’t crawl out of the cup 😂

If the cats weren't going outside originally, the dogs are the ones who brought the fleas in. If i were you I'd bring those cats in the house right away; nothing good comes from being outside....fleas and wildlife are outside. ive been a long time follower of yours Jill and i remember your other animal tragedies in the past...id hate to see that happen to those kittens since you and the kids are so close to them. Get the cats "revolution plus" from the vet or chewy...thats the only thing that works for cats in my opinion. For the dogs..you can try the chews but invest in those flea collars that last 8 months...theyre pricey but worth it.you guys live on a farm the fleas arent going to go away...you have to protect your animals as much as possible. I hope everything works out for you...and btw the couch looks great now...you haven’t rearranged in a loooong time i was waiting for this lol😂 just under bad circumstances but whatcha gonna do lol🤷♀️
🤣🤣 I’m loving this layout but let’s be real, it won’t last 🤣🤣 anyway, the dogs NEVER had fleas until we brought the cats home, they lived outside before we ever got them…. And the boy kitty goes in and out because he howls at the door so he is an inside outside cat, the girl we always kept in, So they definitely brought the fleas… kiki seems to respond to the flea treatment better than they do as well which is why I put them out, I thought if I could treat just one animal then get it under control it’d be easier, I think it made her worse…

Our vet gave are lapso a shot poor thing worked himself into exhaustion over one flea the vet said small dogs are really affected by fleas it was so sad I felt like a bad dog mom lol…….

I will get the house treated the furniture treated no reason to get rid of your carpet unless you can trade it outside, but I have put a flea collar on my dog and flea collars on my cats and have never had a problem have worked for me I get the ones for seven months and no problems but you’re gonna also want to get your yard treated

I had a guy who sprayed chemicals for fleas and he told me to sprinkle Borax on your couch, under the cushions, on top and on the rug and let it sit maybe over night. Then vacuum it up in the morning. It will kill the fleas. You can leave it under the couch cushions if you want. It can go under mattresses too. Hopefully this helps.

We’re getting sprayed inside and out tomorrow which is a week before our company would be here. Anyway we had to cancel our BBQ because it’s horse flu season and we are getting bit outside. This season lasts about 4-6 weeks and it’s the WORST!
