Nemophila is Hazuki’s home, Koiai is her vacation house.

This is the video that led me down the Japanese J Metal rock scene when I came across it early 2020. They had all came from other bands to create Nemophila. They are a real organic band unlike Babymetal. In 2019, Singer Mayu had left Lipstick and was doing a solo project.. She was able to recruit her friend Bassist Haraguchi, who was from the Holderins, Then they got Tamu, solo drummer who was previously in the group Soramimi, she then contacted Mary's Blood guitarist Saki (1st solo) who then suggested guitarist Hazuki from the recently defunct band Disqualia. They played a couple of shows together and realized that they had great chemistry together. So this temporary project had become Nemophila. In almost 5 years they have put out multiple records and became a hit on UA-cam which help get through the Coronavirus Apocalypse of the Bizarro World, They started putting out videos every Friday known as Nemo Friday and multiple livestream concerts. They also had babies too (Drummer Tamu is a few months pregnant here with her 1st and has 2 girls now and Singer Mayu had a boy almost 2 years ago.) They made it to playing the famous Budokan earlier this year. After Budokan, Guitarist Saki decided to leave (creative differences) and do her own thing. The group is now a 4 piece and just finishing up on a battle of the bands tour. Putting out a cover from each band they are playing with. They put out one yesterday and one today... OK, think that covers it lol. Welcome to the rabbit hole. 😂😂 You'll be surprised at all the female rock bands in Japan.

For me..Best metalband of the 21st Century. They have it all..Passion Work Heart Talent..Even now, as a 4 member band, they play whatever they wanna play and killed it. You really should their livevideos. Magical liveband 🔥🤘❤️
Nemophila is the most diverse and versatile band!!
Their originals are amazing. Variety of styles and not a bad song. Their first songs OIRAN live and Raitei are a good starting point. Their covers are extremely good. They are the cover queens always putting a smile on my face. I think for me they have only missed out 3 times on covers. Pink, Bon Jovi and cant think of the other one but the rest are fire. My favorites are their LOUDNESS, X-Japan, Maximum the Hormone and Show Ya covers. All Japanese bands but listening to those get you deeper into the Japan music rabbit hole.
How it all started for some of us
Hazuki has been in Nemophila since 2019 when the band formed. Since her fellow guitarist SAKI left, around Easter, Hazuki has been the only full-time guitarist, although vocalist Mayu has started playing some rhythm guitar at their live shows.
KOIAI is an evolution of an earlier Li-sa-X band, but with a different vocalist (Kotono, former BABYMETAL dancer and Ironbunny singer/dancer). Hazuki and Lisa are friends, so Hazuki has been in both iterations of that band.

Hanabie is the "D'Artagnan" of them.... check... Hanabie - We Love Sweets
"Hanabie" (with a long "eh" at the end) means "cold flower"... as in "freezing cold spring season". Not to be confused with "Hanabi" (no "e"), which means "fire flower" ... as in "fireworks".

Nemophila is Hazuki's main group. KOIAI is something of a side project, though it may become something of a second main project. KOIAI is a revamped version of the old previously-defunct Lisa-X Band, with some new members. The original Lisa-X lineup did also feature Hazuki, though the KOIAI revamp has only been around since last year. Nemophila started around 2019 or so and has already done a couple world tours.
Hazuki has been supporting Li-sa-X in Li-sa-X's live concert since Li-sa-X was 12years old. To Li-sa-X Hazuki is like her big sister. Hazuki laughed in the interview that she was already a member of Koiai when she heard the news of forming KOIAI from Li-sa-X.

Change the world, Zen, Dissenssion, Raitei, Sorai, Monsters, Plus dozens of covers of all the greats.. Oh and be prepared for Mayu's voice.. Its a bit gritty on this track yes, but the norm will blow you away..

You mentioned not knowing who was whom except Hazuki. And several folks have filled in good details, but I don't see a full listing. So if I may, left to right:
The string players -
Hazuki you know. Notice that she plays an Ibanez 7 string guitar and uses all of it.
Haraguchi the bassist plays a 5 string bass instead of the usual 4, same reason.
Saki on the far right plays a 7 string Killer guitar. The eldest and most experienced in the business, she stayed with them and helped them get to play the prestigious Budokan venue. She has since left.
In back, Tamu Murata (or in Japanese form, Murata Tamu) is an in-demand session drummer, so her support was huge. Her birth name is Ai (like "eye") but early in her career people noticed she uses her floor toms more than most, so everyone calls her "Tom-oo" spelled as Tamu.
Lead vocalist Mayu has been introduced somewhat. Her previous band Lipstick had an ammo belt with lipstick like bullets in it. Or fake bullets with the tips painted red, whatever. To me her most amazing vocal ability is to do harsh screaming vocal and switch to soaring cleans with zero transition time. Not a common skill and always impressive.
Their first (original) heavy metal tune showing that ability was Dissension. It also includes a delightful cheerleading style chant by all of them right in the middle of it. Funny, reinforces that they are fun ladies, and somehow works artistically.
I grew up with rock and roll, heard a lot of rock and metal, and this is one of the best bands I have heard in my lifetime.
In the past decade, the bands whose music has impressed me enough to buy it are almost all Japanese all-woman bands. They are just that good.
Band-Maid, Nemophila, and Exist-Trace for example. Several others are awaiting further funds.

At the time Mayu the singer could not speak english she learned it phonecticaly from Saki the other guitarist that speaks fluently
This is one of my favorite Asian metal bands. They are all so incredibly talented. I like the harder, rock sound of the vocalist.

At this point they were still just a fun side project, jamming covers. And I have to say as much as I enjoy their more recent originals , these covers are fun for me.

On Koiai's live Bluray Hazuki performs 2 songs solo. Her musical direction suits me well.
Of all the bands I have ever heard cover this song, they are the only ones to get the tempo correct.
Japan appears to be overflowing with excellent musical women. So much so that 80-90% of my playlists are full of songs by Japanese all-women bands. The positivity, talent, hard work and camaraderie of the scene is totally addictive. Many of the bands collaborate and support each other and the songs are much more positive and optimistic than those produced by the sneering, macho, unintentional self-parody bands we have in Europe and USA.
Nemophila, Band-Maid, Aldious, KOIAI, Lovebites, Gacharic Spin, Trident, Bridear etc are the tip of a musical iceberg.
