I would like to address the negative comment I made 4 months ago by first apologizing for my knee-jerk reaction. I'm sorry; my arrogance got the best of me. My engine service light indicated my thermostat malfunctioning and lean codes for banks 1 & 2. My MAF sensor was faulty and the cause of my lean codes. After I replaced it with an OEM part, my codes did not return. Your thermostat kit is great! In addition, I also replaced the stock water pump with a Stewart EMP pump, I feel secure knowing that my coolant system is running cooler, and my car is operating more efficiently. I will be an advocate for your product.
No, it is not. I have installed this kit and it does what they say; it lowers the temperature. However, they did not address that you cannot re-install the engine holder because there is no room. Also, it will throw the Engine light on, indicating the thermostat is malfunctioning (which it isn't) because it is operating independently of the ECU. So how would you know if you have a legitimate issue?! Also, you can get a gasket from Autozone instead of getting another thermostat housing.
This looks like a good bit of kit. I’m building my e46 at the moment. Here’s where I’ve got to with my build so far if your interested: ua-cam.com/video/BpOasVoBSvU/v-deo.html 👍
You did not address the following issues using your kit. This will not allow the engine holder to be reinstalled because there is no room to install it back on. Most importantly the Engine Service light will come on, indicating a 279C code, meaning the thermostat is malfunctioning. Your boy Julio did a shoddy job in modifying the thermostat housing to accommodate your kit. If you have addressed these issues, please share them with your customers. Because the Engine service light is not addressed on your video or your website, I have to give you a thumbs down.
Hi Willy We have "engine holders" on all of our cars with this kit. give us a call and we will try to get you going. Also, we have not seen any codes from this installation even on street cars so please let us know what you are seeing and we will try to help you.
