OMG, "Put your Primary Passion Project first" I love this. I'm also a writer and I want to self-publish a book of poems and always find that same primary goal put on the back burner day after day, year after year. I love this advice. This is a major breakthrough for me. Thank you!
*Pur your primary passion first* Makes so much sense!! I really would like yo write more and focus on my channel.. But I do get overwhelmed. This truly speaks to me
I love that painting in the background. I don't know who it is by or what it is supposed to rerpresent (if it does), but to me it's a representation of life itself. Ups, downs, twists, turns, but surely and steadily, your growing and going up. Love it!
Wow! The universe sure knows how to point me where I need to go right now! I literally pulled up Marie’s channel wondering “I need to figure out how to manage multiple passion projects while working my W2 job because I can’t get my writing done” and BOOM! Thank you Vera for asking my question and Marie for answering! 🙌🏼🙏🏼🔥
Been there too, Vera! I finally managed to post my first UA-cam Video thanks to this strategy! I worked on it every day 2 hours before work, and what I couldn't get done for a year, got done in a week 🌙🌿💫
omg this is so life changing. I actually never thought to do things in this order but makes so much more sense. this year i really want to start having better control of my schedule in general this is so fantastic
It took me 23 years to write my first memoir through single motherhood and working as a nurse. I’d steal away just a few minutes of writing and hoarded it away in a zip around 3-ring binder. I don’t have that kind of time to do my second book and third books as I am now 55. And, I have three children’s books I want to publish too. Thing is, I’m still exhausted from publishing my first book and trying to get in some crafting and living in the moment in there too. I’m pooped! This year I’m putting myself and my projects first. Thanks for the reminder!
Hi Robin! Congratulations on writing your first memoir. That's absolutely incredible. We see how much you want to do and know you can do it. Sending lots of good vibes that 2023 will be your year to put yourself and those projects first. - Monauar, Team Forleo
this is such good advice. I always do this mistake of doing "difficult" work tasks first and so often I get too tired when it`s time to do the more pleasurable ones... that`s why my side business has been on a stand still for way too long. will change this asap
@@TeamForleo I am a Fashion designer and I am always making calls, sending mails, watching the worker, go out to Buy materials but I am find myself designing and creating for the last minute. Thank you for making me realize that!!!!!
I relate so much, as a scientist with so many creative projects in mind. This year I will focus on my science project, but I'm taking time to work on my creative writing and a useful website too. Thank you so much for your advice, lovely video!
My primary passion project is fashion designing but because l need money to grow a brand of my own l have to find ways to make money so l end up distracted and end up procrastinating towards my fashion designing dream career
I definitely find that focusing on scheduling in my goals and priorities before 'mundane stuff' i know i'll get done because my survival depends on it works well. I have a set time to write - even though for me this is after my dayjob, it's that spot in my routine that i do it before any other "recreation" so that it gets the time and energy it needs :)
I always used to procrastinate working on my dream project for so called reasons like oh it might take long, oh it can be done later, oh im tired today i cant work anymore. But today i have started putting actual work on my creative writing first thing in the morning and guess what it doesnt take long and im done for the dream work today. 😊 #thisworks
Thank you for this amazing video! Your insights are very helpful! I'm currently in high school and I've always wanted to work for my creative passion when I'm an adult later... but I've always been stuck in the loophole of getting bored or busy with school. I'm scared that I wouldn't be a successful adult working on my creative passion later. But this vid reminded me that I can always try to put the creative project that I most want to do first! (well doesn't mean that I'll skip school or assignments... it's just that, I'll TRY to allocate time for my creative projects!) Anyways, thank you very much once again 😀

That’s my problem, I put my pp to the end of the day, by that time I’m exhausted n put it off for the next day, but the same cycle repeats itself. Thanks for this💕
Baking is my passion. But I am working as an Academic Coordinator and I hardly get time for it.I want to spare time for my family but that's seems impossible too...
I live with 85 year old energetic mother. I am 60 and its like I am her worker. I can do what I love but she want to send me all other the place. I feel frustrated. At night I want to write my book and she comes and says switch off lights cause I have to get up early and work. I love writing but sometimes I am so tense I design and sew instead. Shez planning on bringing a small girl so her goals are acheived but I see additional work 4 me as I will have to cook additional meals for the small girl. Anyway maybe I will be free as well
You need to stand up for your self and your needs first. Try blocking off a certain time of day for yourself and tell your mom that you aren't available to do anything during this time. She'll fight it at first, but should get the message after a while. You could also try telling her it's overwhelming for you and you need some designated space so you can continue taking care of her.
@@cherykelly5289 Thank you so much. I tried it today and its been so nice. I have discussed a day out on weekends or locked up in a room. I need to stand up
Thats called fear. It's confirmation that it means the most to you so u should break it down into small parts than a big finished product in terms of project. Also if u didn't risk getting fired u wouldn't get up for a job either duh lol.
Maybe also check out if you habe ADHD. I have ADHD and sometimes I can‘t get started on my biggest passion projects as it is difficult to do it when its a tiny bit more difficult (has to do with the dopamine.) Also check out the UA-cam Channel: How To ADHD.
@@laevabea that's why u break it down into small manageable portions and u'll get ur hit from tackling the project. If u want to eat the elephant with one bite then it would make sense why ur brain would put it off. Also to be in a flow state, challenge has to match skill perfectly. (check out the flow graph). Their is one word that sums up how u feeling tho: it's called excuses if u really want the truth.
