    Little late to your video. I skipped using the included res and used 32 gallon garbage cans. I decided to finally try a res. I don't use an air stone, I use a second pump with a foot of hose to stir the res for 30 minutes before each watering.
    I have a similar water setup in my house as well since I am on a well also. I have a dedicated RO system for my garden. It feeds into another 32 gallon garbage can (plastic) with a float valve to turn it off when full. Weekly I drain the res and swap water from the collection to the res and redo my nutrients. I top off as needed during the week.

      I’m getting ready to grow 8-10 5 gallon plants with 70% coco 30% perlite in a 5x5 tent, and I’m trying to decide on the watering method, was thinking just have a tray / runoff drain and then basic irrigation drip lines , but do u know if u can re use the run off water the next watering schedule, as long as u test the ph and PPM etc

      That is a really good questions. I'm not really sure. I guess it would depend on what the water tests at to see if its worth while or not. I'm definitely curious as to what it would test at as well as how you end up doing it all.

      Imo no for a few reasons. One is your feed schedule changes from time to time. And when you test the ppm it will only tell you the ppm not what nutes the plant has used the most. That said what i do is use in the garden and house plants after lol. Nothing goes to waste.

    Yes with air stone in the res. I ran the titan hydro system similair to this product. I ended up putting and airstone in every bucket as well. This design just a tad different but i think could still benefit from as much oxygen you can bring to the roots. Keeps them nice,clean and healthy, explosive growth

    hope you have a big Dehumidifier. keep that water cold other wise you gonna have a bactiera nightmare , there really hard to clean once they get contaminated

    I use air cubes my self and it’s a great system that grows monster plants if you know what you doin…….the issues I see here u have way too many buckets for that size of a tent. By you doing speaks on your experience as a grower

      In that big tent u should’ve jus did 8 depends on how good of a grower u are if u have monsters I’ll say just do 8 4 in front and 4 in the back in that 4x4 I would just did one or 2 the and I see one thing u missing that don’t come with the air cube but it’s very important to have wouldn’t use air cube without it

      I did too until I worked out it kept on increasing my pH. I just use a small fish pump to move the water around to prevent it from going stale.

    How has the system been working? Any issues? Pros/cons.

    • @DoingtheDeal
      @DoingtheDeal  9 місяців тому

      Thank you for the question. The system has been great overall.
      Biggest issue I have is with the reservoir. The spigot at the bottom leaked a little bit. I was able to get it stopped. Have not had issues since.
      Other than that. A little bit of root build up at the bottom of the tubs causing water flow issues. Really more of a maintenance thing though.

      @@DoingtheDeal Probably missing a washer as both side of the spigot need a rubber washer installed and Grow Ace was shorting most kits one washer. Reach out to them for a replacement.

    Can these be used in warmer climates where the res stays around 75-82°, won't affect the roots?

    • @DoingtheDeal
      @DoingtheDeal  10 місяців тому +1

      Thank you for watching and thank you for the comment. I would definitely assume yes. The temperature for my reservoir at this moment is about 73 or so.

    • @allegorx58
      @allegorx58 10 місяців тому +1

      It will absolutely affect the roots - whether or not it’ll be to the extent that it will harm your grow has a lot to do with a number of other factors. The reality is DO drops off rapidly above 69 degrees. Anything over 72 is begging for trouble. Ideal solution temp for hydroponics is 65-69 degrees.
