    That Raptor gray does look awesome. I like the low sheen finishes so I like that about Monstaliner. I'm planning on mixing their light gray and medium gray to get something in between, kinda close to your bugout vehicle. Before researching this project I'd have never thought of using a roller on any automotive finish. Hell, I sprayed my house. But I love the fact that Monstaliner encourages rolling on the finish which seems to produce as good a result as spraying with more control over the texture, no messy over spray so much less masking (time and materials cost), no need to haul out the compressor, pitch the rollers instead of cleaning a spray gun, etc. I also like the fact that I can buy a two gallon kit to cover an SUV in two coats for $294 and I can mix a gallon at a time to apply one coat to the entire vehicle with a minimum of mixing time and no issues with the working life. Raptor has you mix each quart, one at a time, and that a lot of time and effort. Tests indicate that Monstaliner is more durable than Raptor, and that's most of the reason for a bed liner instead of automotive paint. I have heard numerous complaints about the lack of Monstaliner customer service, though.

      Wow, I'd agree with everything you just stated. I've got another vehicle now and am considering doing the final on it with monstaliner like my earlier truck. I just can't decide. Time is always our enemy.

    Good video, thanks for making this. I've got an 87 suburban sitting in primer now that I want to coat with bedliner. Very helpful.

    So which one is this ? It doesn’t attract dust and dirt ? Does it just rinse off

      The Raptor is much easier to wash than the monstaliner. The shell to the paint is harder and easier to wash.

    How does raptor compare to monstaliner in terms of durability, and corrosion resistance? I've been using monstaliner for over a decade, shit seems to last forever, very tough

      Yeah, I have both. The monsta liner is a bit more pliable and less likely to crack but both see really tough.

      @@SecurityAllStar. But you said the Monstaliner was dull and porous so it collects dirt, right?

      Honestly, after having had both on vehicles, I think the Monstaliner is more durable. The Raptorliner looks much better with sort of an egshell sheet and cleans much easier. If you only want durability and don't care much about looks - the Monstaliner is the better choice.

      @@SecurityAllStar I want both looks and durability. The weird thing is that you are the only one that said Monstaliner was porous which makes dirt and grime stick to it that can’t be cleaned off.

      Has your experience with Monstaliner been that it is porous and hard to wash off dirt and grime?

    How much raptor liner did it take

      When it was all said and done, we used 8 full bottles, which I think was about 2 gallons.

    How much does it cost to do a full size truck?

    • @SecurityAllStar
      @SecurityAllStar  3 роки тому +1

      Well, if you don't have to redo it like we did and have to start over, it would be about $750.
