I've got a DS-2(Turbo Distortion) and a SD-2(Dual Overdrive). I put the SD-2, in overdrive mode, after the DS-2 and with them both on the SD-2 acts like a boost for the DS-2. I don't loose any of the DS-2 sound. Ordered the other way around you will loose the the DS-2 sound. All this plugged in a Fender Mustang LT-25 set to as clean a channel as possible. DS-2: Level - max,Tone - max, Dist - max, Mode - Turbo II. SD2: Level - 11 o'clock, Tone - max, Drive - 11 o'clock, Mode - overdrive (Crunch). Having the Distortion at max on the DS-2 is a hint I'm a Nirvana fan. To achieve the sound the is produced at 12:27 I don't have the DS-2 engaged and I have the SD-2 set to Level - 10 o'clock, Tone - max, Drive - Crunch 11 o'clock & Lead max. There's a hack that can be done with this pedal where both modes (Crunch & Lead) can be engaged at the same time. It requires either using an expression pedal half cocked or a 2 switch foot pedal with a 40K ohm resistor going form one of the switches positive to the other switches negative. This 40k ohm simulates an expression pedal being roughly half cocked. With this set up, plus a Boss FS-5L plugged into the DS-2, between the 2 pedals I can produce 7 sounds. 2 from the DS-2, 3 from the SD-2 and the 6th and 7th when using the SD-2 to boost the DS-2 in Turbo mode I or II. In conclusion get a SD-2 it's a far superior pedal to the SD-1. It has the original sound of a SD-1 in overdrive (Crunch) mode. It has a slightly less distorted, but similar, sound to a DS-1 in distortion (Lead) mode and using the hack it blends the two sounds together.
One of the benefits of running the DS2 on 2 oclock distortion instead of maxed out is the noise reduction, makes playing songs like suck my kiss cleaner and your solo's more dynamic as you can ''pauze'' inbetween your solo's. It's also better when you kick on the wh10, more controll over the dynamics and if you want the maxed out DS2 tone just kick on a booster - good stuff.

Weeeeeeeewwwwwww the intro was pretty sick sounding :O I was using both pedals just with my fuzz & treble booster :D
@@FarmerSlideJoeBob thanks for the nice words 😊 I think the DS2 + SD1 is my new favourite stack
Sounding great mate! Thanks for the detailed review!

@@lukabanovic2937 I’m pretty sure that’s why John Frusciante now runs two DS2’s :) thanks for watching and commenting 😊
