I think the intention here wasn't for a personal gain,but more for religious reasons. He brought the statue back with a note saying it didn't belong in Gods house. It's a statue of a female christ crucifixion,the story was in todays daily news.Still it would have maybe been better to talk to the pastor about his feelings rather than this
