this just proves what an amazing actor he is. He wasn't even in some of the scenes! while watching the movie I kept thinking "how did they do that?" now I know
When I first saw the movie back when it came out, all I could think was "It would be great to age backwards like that and die in somebodies arms." I was so naive. 10 years have passed and I now work in a Nursing Home. What makes the scenes with Benjamin from a preteen to a toddler so sad is that, generally but in varying degrees, the lifespan of humankind is bookended by the same behaviors-we learn as children and in some cases have to relearn as elderly people (or, in a worst case, just go downhill). Their are people I see at work who are breaking down in their minds, and are just like children in that they act out, forget, etc. But, it's the end of their lives. The 8-year-old scene could easily be about a child throwing a tantrum, but it's actually an old man with dementia. Putting this into perspective by using Fitzgerald's short story concept as a blueprint hits home. Now, I cry when I think about it. What makes the whole thing so moving is that Benjamin was well cared for despite his physical problems in childhood that he eventually grew out of, and he was well-cared for near the end of his life. In reality, special needs children are looked after with that level care but the tragedy is that growing old is so messy that there is this shove-aside attitude on occasion in society. Unfortunately, unlike the Sci-Fi/Fantasy premise, caring for the elderly isn't as easy as taking care of a baby. What doesn't change (I hope) is the love and dedication that Daisy had for Benjamin.
Every time I watch this movie, the very end part, when Benjamin gives his theme about his life and everybody else on his journey, it just makes me cry so much.
This movie is about a unique situation in wich people are presented with unique circumstances, but they find a way to make the best of it. Truly inspiring and heart warming!
I own the movie. The movie is spectacular. I do not approve of Brad's choices in his personal life, However He is Excellent at his professional life. If more people looked through the eyes of this little young/old man it would be amazing what each of us could accomplish. A beautiful true love happy heartbreaking eye opening movie.
This movie is so great, and it make me fell the rhythm of life, and it make me fell in love and how to let go. I'd got tear of joy and sadness, and it was a great experience for me by watching this movie.
It was miraculous that they could make him look like a pre-teen. I know it was film studio high-tech stuff that made him look younger than his real age, but I bet in a few years the science will be so advanced that centenarians could be a healthy as 40 year olds and look like one too. But of course in the end mostly the rich ones will be able to use all those technologies/medicines/treatments; after all we are in a world that is made for survival of the richest.
I knew that Brad Pitt have done a great job in this movie, but know i saw how he had to act for the expressions. Its just WOW... i mean he has to act like he is in the situtaion and you can try this at home, you will never bring the same expression like if you where really in a conversation for example. Great movie!

"LET BUSTER DO A LINE OFF YOUR BONER!" The guy who plays old, smaller Benjamin is totally the same actor who played the Jock in its always sunny in Philadelphia
I'm here from the apple commercial, from the commercial it seemed like a comedy movie, but I was wrong. I want to see this movie, it seems like a tear jerker though
How come digital domain owned the award winning oldest VFX company in the world Industrial Light & Magic? ILM tried to remake Arnold inT4 but failed... You could tell he was fake. But DD made benjamin's head super photorealistic for over 55 minutes..
this just proves what an amazing actor he is. He wasn't even in some of the scenes! while watching the movie I kept thinking "how did they do that?" now I know

Such an amazing technology! Never thought that the scenes in which he was older were done like that!
This proves what CGI is capable of, yet people still say that CGI is bad and it's ruining movies...
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER,BRAD SHOULD TAKE THE OSCAR FOR SURE!!
Director: Brad, we are making a movie. We need your head.
Wow! I had never considered how they did this. It's incredible. Kudos for all the actors who were working with the same character!
