I was on Samothraki 20 years ago just one day, moreover in the cold season (April) and remember it is as very sympathetic place, but that it was so beautiful and authentic I wasn't aware of. What a wonderful, natural presentation. That beautiful Greece may always remain the paradise it is !
Even as a Greek never been to Samothraki but I have veard it is a magnificent place , where ancient greek ritual vibes are mixed with neo-Greek culture, something that is amazing Glad you both enjoyed. I liked the salty hippies term :)

I love Samothraki, I can understand you, I too, didn't want to leave. The fruit sweet is another one, it is called "prausty", you've got to go back and have it! You've said it all, apart from one: The Great three Gods that they honored with "Caviria", were in fact the three faces of the one God, and is the first time they said it on earth.
It's so ridiculous and a huge waste of time but with your very relaxing narration and your style that makes time unimportant, I strangely watch every video of yours. Samothraki is definitely on my list now but I wish there were a little more olive or pine trees on the beaches. Keep going man.

Before typing silly things, open your elementary history textbooks. The Agean shore is Thraki, Troas, Aiolida, Ionia, and Dorida. From Samothraki, one can see Thraki and Troas. And yes, it is possible to see Imbros from Samothraki's southern coast.
