- A large and beautiful square full of lawns, gardens, fountains and horse and carriages. Numerous impressive buildings, great mosque and bazzar area. Four hundred years old and once the world's largest square.
That bought back some memories Gordon. A truly stunning place to visit.

Thanks for the comment Lindsay. Been a bit slow with this as I couldn't remember if we went into one or two mosques. Still got a bit more footage from Iran which I may eventually edit into a couple short videos. Perhaps during the present lockdown. Been wondering how you are surviving the NSW lockdown. Hope all is well. Did you ever manage to do the tour to Georgia?
@@GORDONLAWRENCEVIDEOS Hi Gordon, I would have to check regarding the number of mosques we went into to. It would be great to see the additional footage you have.
We were not able to make the trip to Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. In fact our Azerbaijan visas were cancelled without explanation but I'm sure it was because of the Covid spread and was at about the same time other restictions were coming into play. If I had to guess I'd say it would be at least 12 months before we have another opportunity to leave the country. Helene has never toured NZ and that will be one of the destinations on our bucket list. Helene sends here regards to you also.
We are both fully vaccinated and I have recently retired so life is very quiet and we are restricted to travel only within a 5km raduis of our home. Hardly any traffic on the roads with so many businesses closed and schools still shut. Its all pretty eerie around the place.
