Ha ha just subbed your station - old fisherman here - your a hoot kid - love the running commentary, especially when you get on your own case. Lived in Gansett for a time many years ago - would love to get back to Rhody to fish. Tube and worm is the WAY - no worm, no fish. Best tubes by Butchie Baits up in Mass. - they last a lifetime.
Just found your page. Great video. Just picked up myself a fishing kayak as my Army retirement gift. Can’t wait to hit the Bay. Added bonus working on Newport Naval Base
Watching with my kids now dude. Such a blast seeing your content. We also kayak but in the Raritan Bay and this year has swung around for the good in just the number and quality of species so far. Good luck man on your season taking off cuz we had a good spring!
Awesome stripers, that kayak is the ticket to some big fish. looking forward to seeing some shore fishing action. I remember night fishing with eels, hate eels but love the results.
We had a wave down south of mid 20s up to 46 about 10 days ago. Been a little bit of a lull since then , so I imagine you're seeing those right now and going to continue to see them through the end of June. Would love to bring the Hobie up there and fish with you when things tap out in NJ
@@Fish-RI had a different wave of fish show up this morning with sea lice on them. Must've came in from offshore. They're headed north now and they were all complete slobs. I'm guessing you'll see them in 10 days-2 weeks
Outstanding what a blast Great fishing going on in your neck of the woods. Having a great bluefish run here on south shore king island. Some stripers mixed in but not like that ! Awesome 👏
Hey Jonny nice video, nothing better than a trip full of cows !! I’m a RI local, me and my son are heading out of wickford tomorrow morning any areas u recommended, I got a late start this season and he’s getting shoulder surgery this week he’ll be down for the count for the summer would like him to get some nice action!
I'm 25 and have been fishing Rhode Island my whole life from the shore. Can anyone help me out with a good spot for stripers from the shore? I don't fish past E.G, definitely not warwick. I prefer southern ri if anyone has any ideas. P.S I pack out what I pack in and can't stress that enough.
thanks man. The link is in the video description for the rod and reel I was using. 7 foot medium heavy Okuma SRT Inshore elite. 30 lb braid with a 50 pound flouro leader
@@mattbobsong680 why? I’ve been going there for years, parking at the lighthouse. Even when cops were there they never bothered me and told me to go park elsewhere and walk in. I was just there last week without an issue. Is this new?
I been wanting to catch one like that and feel that rush.. I caught 27" 25" nothing big but wow I can't imagine hitting a big one like that.., been fishing all my life but ocean water like 13 15 years and never seen one in my pole that big.. I do more pier fishing and cut bait.
That’s awesomeee! Can’t wait to get my set up finish so I can be out there too!
What a great clip Jonny, can’t wait to watch the night time
Congrats on those fish!!!
Best

Good to see some big ones moving in. I went out this morning on the ma/ri border hoping to find some pogies to live line but didn't see any.
Bigger bass have entered the bay this year for sure. Good to see.
Love your excitement....fun to watch you catch those monsters.
thanks man it was a blast out there
I'm so jealous man very beautiful striped bass.
This year I'll do whatever it takes to catch a 20+ pounds striped bass
Amazing vid and congrats on the cows! I think I need to change my plans to RI this weekend instead of the cape.

eels are amazing yet suck at the same time
Great stuff cuz!
Great clip! Great fish! Great work.
Excellent video! I’m looking to upgrade my paddle kayak to peddle kayak. What do you recommend ? Thnx.
first time watching your videos bro👊🏻so far with this video it’s really nice 🙌🏻 thanks for sharing great video with this tank triped bass 👊🏻
Built my own tube with a circle hook. Worked mint. The traditional hooks work great too. No gut hooks here
Nothing beats the light tackle fights
really fun fighting them on a 4000 reel
That Okuma stuff is holding up to some beast.
oh yea I certainly put it to the test with these fish
That was awesome. Good for u. Enjoyed the video .
thanks for watching man
Wow that’s what I’m talking about! I’m definitely going down to Newport next week with my kayak
good luck out there man

thanks man. It's always great to see big bass swim off strong
Beautiful ! Great job !
What kind of line you use? Looking to get into togs and black bass
Congrats on the Monsters.
Hey man great video, what were you using for rod and reels?
Nice video! What body of water are you fishing?
Hi. I live in NJ and have a Native Slayer Max. Where in RI are you kayak fishing stripers? Thanks for your videos.
Let’s go Jonny fire me up

Love the vids, what sonar do u use?
Garmin striker I believe
@@Fish-RI thanks
Awesome bass. Perfect fishy morning.
The second I got out there I was like yep this is a fishy morning
Smoke on the water and dropping barometric pressure is a recipe for success.
Nice work dude
What line are you running here
Is this Narragansett?
This in the bay or open ocean?

If you find a good spot help a brother out. I drive down from western Massachusetts need some tips. Thanks
@@blefebvre430 Where I go is off the rocks at salty brine beach or Monahan's pier near the wall. Both spots are in Narragansett
@@dylanbruskie9995 thank you my man 👍
Where is that Johnny ?
What depth were you catching/markin them at? Also how far from shore? Plan on making a trip this week..
I think this was in 30 feet, I was a mile or so out
Nice catch man. Where do you normally go? I been looking for spots to go with my kayak
Where was this
Nice fish guy!
oh damn.. early season eh? nice work
Hey what kind of rod do you use. Medium heavy with fast tip? How many lb braid and leader ?
Just getting into this.. great vid
thanks man. The link is in the video description for the rod and reel I was using. 7 foot medium heavy Okuma SRT Inshore elite. 30 lb braid with a 50 pound flouro leader
Was that rod MH or Heavey?
MH
damn solid.. wish my
Tx, Lake Texoma bass got like that! You got a lot of rules up there. TX you can catch anyway you want as long as not snagging.
oh yea stripers are heavily regulated up here but for good reason
In san Francisco bay we haven't seen a bass that big in 30 years thanks
30 yrs ago stripers that big were pretty routine in the SF Bay Area
This makes want to do some night time chunking on the boat. I anchor up in a spot where you catch alot of your tog for bass
Dude the season just started, slow down a little bit haha. Best year?
haha definitely off to a good start. gearing up to be a solid season
Bro, always love your vids! But "Descent Fish"??😅
Good Stuff bro! 🎣
thanks man I'm sure I'll see you out there soon
I am waiting for those fish come to Cape Cod
Two really nice Bass. Enjoy the vid
it was a blast, thanks for watching
Providence is hot
Nice job 👍🏼
The best content as always buddy! I’ll be going out near Watch hill this Sunday and Monday hoping to set the hook in a few decent striper and blues
thanks man good luck out there
You might not want to go to watch hill bud. They’re ticketing people fishing the lighthouse area.

How about a life jacket Johnny for the next trip safety is everything
I wear a life jacket on every trip including this one
be safe
Looks challenging to land a fish that big in a kayak. Congrats.
thanks man sometimes it can be awkward landing bigger on the kayak
Kayaking, great way to catch large Stripers. Tubing or Eeling.
you got that right, tube and worm is striper candy
Fishing with subscribers ???
hmm maybe
Hit me up Brother! I’ll take you out to kill some Bluefin 🤙
