Great..that's my dad's Xmas present got..he seen my minisforum hx90 and wanted a mini pc...Good for him and amazon doing a sale on now for 16gb ram version.
i live in canada i bought the u59 pro for $240 cad & added 2 sticks of 8gb crucial ram and a 1tb crucial sata ssd so in total my u59 pro cost me $380 cad in total after the better quality parts. it runs OSRS with the gpu plugin turned on runelite no problem it plays skyrim on full medium graphics with ease. i recently did a price check and things went up in price the same setup that i paid $380 cad for costs just under $500 now
That chart you made is very interesting, considering every mini pc that scored above it was double the price or more I'd say the U590 brings some serious value. Hoping I made the right choice. Buying one for my gf so we can play more AOE 2 DE. Laptop aint cutting it anymore.
This looks really good for the money. I'm actually pretty impressed with this generation of Celerons. Upgrading the RAM to dual channel by adding another identical stick of RAM will improve the graphics a lot. Does it state what the make and model of the RAM is? Thanks a bunch Chigz and have a great one.
Do you have a link to the codec pack you mentioned and were the issues with 4K really obvious or subtle? I'm just wondering if I have an issue I haven't noticed when testing 4K.
I've purchased two of these units and out of the box both were up and running fine playing Roblox and Minecraft with xbox controllers and running some steam games and apps on one of them. I haven't tried emulation but clip studio paint pro runs snappy and Steam games like DJ MAX Respect V ran smoothly for me. I played the newest Shantae game and it ran just like my Nintendo Switch version. Sonic Mania ran perfectly but the new Sonic Origins Collection would not load. Capcom Mega Man Legacy Collection 1&2 ran perfectly, but the X and Z collections ran slughishly so it's hit and miss but i found loads of Steam games that worked fine, like the Miku game for switch that got ported to Steam runs fine on this pc. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 on Steam run great too. I haven't tried emultation but it's great for retro games like Shovel Knight, Castlevania Collection, Ninja Turtles Cowabunga Collection, Street Fighter Collection, Capcom Fighting Collection, Scott Pilgrim, Persona 4 Golden, all ran smoothly on it. Cassette Beasts was playable but had hiccups, some slowdown. Ninja Turtles Shredder's Revenge runs perfectly, Don't Starve, Stardew Valley, there's lots on Steam that will work that are fairly new games that don't require high specs to run. Street Fighter IV ran smoothly as on my PS3, and I was pretty impressed with just that too. The 8gb ram 500 gb SSD PC on amazon with Coupon including free delivery was $152.89 Canadian in November 2023. Really hard to beat even if it can't run certain games. Right, how do you beat that and it's been working for almost a year now.
To the point and no nonsense review. Thanks! Can this be connected to huion kamvas drawing tablets ? I dont see a reason why it can't be... just want to confirm.
I have a mini PC with a N5105 processor and I have installed successfully on it 32GB of RAM DDR4 (two sticks of 16 GB, brand Crucial). I am running on it Arch Linux as my SO and it works fine.
So I ordered one, U59, plugged it all in and got nothing. No lights, the bluetooth keyboard that was ordered with it, no works either ! Very frustrating.
I specifically want a PC where I can stream video (480p is okay for me) and music while running programs like Lightburn, Carbide 3D and other programs that can output G-Code for small CNC machines and laser cutters on separate monitors. Would this be okay? Right now I’m running win 10 on a dual core laptop with 4G ram (no it doesn’t work well)
Hi! I just had a small inquiry, would you recommend I install an ssd or a hdd? The price difference is quite big and I'm confused because with a celeron processor will an ssd actually make much of a difference? Not that I pay extra for an ssd and it just ends up bottlenecking. Thank you!
It would have been nice if you had enabled "stats for nerds" while playing UA-cam videos. Moreover, players such as VLC media player include many codecs & include statistics showing dropped frames.
Also if you would use 2 ram sticks the gpu would become much faster, since it then will have dual channel memory instead of the stock single channel memory.
Bro i'm looking for mini PC to play game, I will really appreciate if you can make a video reviewing about that mini PC's performance playing Valorant, CSGO, and Rise of Kingdoms (PC version).. Thank you so much
Can I use it with just the kodi to watch live sports matches? Or watch movies from external hard disc? I don't want it for another job!!! Does it play smoothly, or will there be any sticking? Does it play all modern audio formats from the hdmi output? 5.1 - 7.1 etc. Thanks.
things i was not told when buying this mini pc . first its just an m2. drive with sata speeds not an nvme which is at least 4 times faster but cost nearly the same Also if u live in a hot country DO NOT BUY THIS !! i live in Thailand and even when it was cool i kept getting an alarm and message your mainboard is to hot at 82c now it is 40c + i cannot use it . even a coolpad underneath does not work as the are no vents only the side vent for the fan inside . I now use a usb fan , a coolpad and a big 16 inch fan on this just to get the temp under 70c or i get the overheating message and it shuts down
@Blaine Parnell too be fair tho buddy i just installed the emulator to test it using my pal discs and... its kinda running gran turismo 3... so you might be lucky depending on what you want to play
Bought it, it quickly overheated. Useless junk. By comparison I then bought 2x Trigkey G4s for similar price. I have had zero problems with them and I am starting to think about the G5. Avoid this Beelink.
I assume this can handle a Debian based Linux like Mint or MX which would make it a portable general purpose office, ,emulation and HTPC beast. Yes? Had anyone tried that?

Nice 👍🏼
I purchased one and I love it! Makes for a great small studio
Great review. I purchased the Beelink SER3 after you reviewed it. Glad to see it's still position 3 in your chart.
Good choice! SER3 is quite a powerful mini PC, love the AMD Ryzen performance.

forgot to mention you MUST turn off any and all power saving setting so your cpu is getting full power that will make it run at 2.80ghz
that new UHD graphics update june 2023 made it all possible
Fresh New logo Chigz, i like it. Thanks for the great review. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Happy to hear 👍🏼

I have version J4125 , i am very happy by Beelink its really a good computer for user work standard and little game indy game.
I can't find any Beelink U59 Pro Mini PCs with WiFi 6 as your chart seems to indicate. Also it does not support 64gb of RAM it caps at 16gb.

The sticker on the RAM says AZW (AZ8G4S8266) Chinese branded RAM.

That is one impressive Celeron. It outperforms 7th gen i5s quite comfortably.
8th gen... not so much, it doesn't clock high enough for it.
I have a j4125 version from an other Brand as a POP OS Mediaplayer, I was surprised how great it works on so less Power
can you give me a link to this mega codec pack please? its cool that it managed to fix the hdr

Where is the internal battery in these things?
Nice looking little oven.
Not bad spec for the price. Just the word celeron puts me off a bit
Yes I know, Celeron have built up that reputation for themselves.
@@ChigzTech But these M.2 cards are def the future. I use one with my Pi 4
Yes absolutely, they are so fast. I have a portable version which I use to edit videos on the fly. Amazing speeds.
Thanks for the review, but N5105 should limit on 16GB memory on DDR4/LPDDR4x, not 64GB ram.

Can you tell me what temperature is in IDLE? and browsing the internet? does the fan make noise?

What about the fan? Noisy? Any issues installing Ubuntu type Linux distro? Thanks. I'm looking to buy one.
You can install anything you like, you have full access to BIOS / Boot-up. Fan noise is quite silent, not that noticeable.
I've had great luck with a previous Beelink running Mint.
I just bought the 16GB model. I installed a separate SSD in the provided slot and installed Ubuntu 22:10 on the SSD no problem.
I suggest you try Homatics Box R 4K Plus
It plays world of warcraft?
It probably will perform better with tiny 11
Does this Beelink U59 PC output 7.1 surround sound through its HDMI port? -- thanks
