I spend so much money on books, but the way I combat my shame is I buy the vast majority secondhand from Better World Books lol. Costs less, less waste and they donate a book for every book you buy so I love that. I think I have spent over 500 dollars there in the last year no regrets

That’s me getting the first 4 volumes of Kaiju No. 8 and first 5 volumes Sakamoto Days while I’m also collecting the Fullmetal Editions of FMA. Crime and Punishment is one of my all time favorite books! One reason that I enjoyed it so much was that I tried to find humor in our protagonist Raskolnikov. It is obviously a very serious novel and deals with these themes of guilt and paranoia and morality, but at the same time I just had to laugh at the way Raskolnikov acted sometimes, and I honestly think that made reading it even more fun and less intimidating. I hope you love it as much as I do!
