do you know how to swim? if not go back to the kitchen and also learn to swim as that is basic human skill, not using a bloody washing machine that 50% of the worldly population does not even own, be fair with your judgement

Where is your evidence from the Qurʾān and Sunnah that these “basic human skills” like cooking and cleaning is obligated to know for men? I personally know how to do these things, but I wouldn’t shame brothers for refraining from doing it because I haven’t seen evidence that it is sinful or blameworthy.

@@idkbro4932its the skills according to the urf of the people. if you're a man living alone, you naturally learn to do basic needs like washing clothes, cooking basic meals or cleaning your house. abu bakr would go to another persons house and tidy up for them and when he passed, umar took over that duty and continued to do that. the sahabah were extremely capable men who granted didnt need to do housework but still could. whn your wife is pregnant or in labour at hopsital or comes home after labour, you have to be able to help out 😅

      Praise be to Allah.
      Firstly:
It is permissible for a woman to take part in public chat rooms, if she adheres to the following guidelines:
She should only participate as much as is necessary, so she should pose a question or state the topic, then leave, and not comment unless there is a need for that, because the basic principle is that she should avoid speaking to men or mixing with them.
There should be nothing in her words that could provoke fitnah (temptation), such as joking, speaking softly, or laughing, such as writing “hahahahahaha”, as mentioned in the question, or using smiley emojis, because that could lead to coveting on the part of those in whose hearts is disease, as Allah, may He be glorified, says (interpretation of the meaning): “O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech” [al-Ahzaab 33:32].
She should avoid giving out her email address or corresponding via private messages with any man, even if that is for the purpose of seeking help, because of what such correspondence often leads to of attachment and temptation. See the answers to question no. 34841 .
It is preferable and better for a woman to participate only in all-female chat rooms. This is safer for her. There are many such chat rooms, and that is better and sufficient. But if she needs to participate in public chat rooms, then it is better for her to choose a screen name that does not indicate that she is female.

@@inspiringmuslim ASalamu Alaykum. Thanks for your comment! Well, I was deliberating about it for a very long time. The Psychology Doctorate is very demanding and the only sukoon I achieved was away from it all. I understand the struggle with making sure your parents are happy too, but this was a decision I made for myself and I have taken 100% responsibility for it. No one will understand your reasoning, but that’s ok, they’re not in your shoes, it’s between you and Allah (swt). Have forbearance. I spoke with my supervisor and stated my reasoning, I was supported in my decision. Ultimately I realised the Doctorate will always be there, but my yearning for the Deen may not be as strong next year, or later on in my life etc. As a 28 year old female, I embraced the quarter life crisis (which is completely normal). How is it going you ask? I spend most of my days reading, researching Islam and pondering on a bench haha. I attend Islamic Science classes and read Quran daily, albeit in English. Although I’m a born Muslim, I feel like I experience similar things to those who revert - starting from the ground up. SubhanAllah. It’s a beautiful thing. My advice? Be brutally honest with yourself. Make Istikhara and Insha’Allah you’ll find yourself in a better position. It’s not an easy decision but I didn’t want to balance both Deen and Dunya. I chose one. I was either in or out. It’s difficult to balance both in this world but I believe some people can. Alhamdulilah. I’ll make Du’a for you. May Allah guide you through this journey. 🤲🏼

ye but realistically in todays day and age they are life skills. There are other ways to achieve cleanliness and food but the majority of people who watch this video will acquire food either by cooking it on gas stove or by having it cooked for them and they will acquire cleanliness of clothes by having their clothes washed in a washing machine. Therefore it is important to know how to do this even if someone else does it for you because you need to be able to provide for yourself and be self sufficient. @@idkbro4932

Edit: just saw that it is written in the video that the hadith may be weak, Allah knows best, but I think the point still stands in sha Allah.
Original comment: Yeah one should know how to use a washing machine, but zayd quoting a hadith to argue that he is right during the cracking off an egg is kind of weird to me. Like we don't go around criticizing every small move of people and then trying to justify it by quoting ahadith. He probably meant it in a good way but like it's just cracking off an egg... we should have more respect for the Quran and the sunnah than using it to argue what cooking style is better. I am not saying that he meant it that way, but it comes off like that. Hope that made sense.

Most scholars end up saying due to this youtube earnings are haram. I agree that everything is based on riba and usury and I have struggled with this also however if one can then its best to stay away. I am no scholar by any mean, however this is my opinion.

A little reminder, cooking and cleaning are not something that are necessarily fardh for men. 3:44 " I'm teaching you now how this is the how married life is gonna be guys". Actually in married life, if we apply it according to Zaid’s perspective that prefers wives to be servicing inside and stay away from jobs outside. Here we can consider how a man uses a washing machine to be not necessary, not to mention that it is an easy stuff that can be learned in two minutes, but the above quote from Zaid’s words can be suitable for families whose women and men have jobs outside the house.
