Handbag Gift Bags (revisited)

- Not one to revisit a project usually, I felt this one needed it. Measurements for materials are as follows:
12" x 12" sheet of designer paper
2 - strips of card 7" x 1 3/4"
2 - 1" punched circles
2 - Neodymium magnets approx 1/4" or 7mm
scrap of card to create the bag closure
ribbon for handles/decoration
Hello, 2023 and just found your revised video, so happy that I did. I really wanted to make the bag and followed the instructions from your first video, I struggled with the folding. This video was extremely helpful.

I know that this is about a six-year-old video but I just was on UA-cam googling how to make a handbag and yours came up very easy instructions to follow love the paper and the idea this is March of 2023 my granddaughter will be graduating from high school in May and I will be making one for thank you so much for sharing your creativity and yes I am a new hugs from California 🫶

Lovely gift purses! Just what I was looking to make without using dies or machines. Thank you for revisiting this! I watched the other video, but I couldn’t keep up. Great tutorial and a beautiful little bag! I think I remember a much, much smaller version with a similar fold that I put lip balm in. This is so much more practical (no scraps or waste) and prettier. Hope you have more videos soon!

For the panels at the top of the bag: 18cm x 4.5cm. Score in half lengthways
2 x 2.5cm circles
The die for the clasp should measure approx 12cm, scored in half on longer side
For the bag: score at 6.4cm, turn 180° then score again 6.4cm
Come back 90° so score lines ate now horizontal and score 11.4cm and 19cm
I took my conversion from Google so all are approximate. As so many people have asked for metric measurements, I'm hoping to create future projects in both inches and cm!

I have actually spent some time in my craft room this past week! I've made a lovely box, that I can't share right now as the recipient hasn't seen it yet. It was great to be crafting again and after making a few adjustments to the box I might just share it 😉

I'm sorry you felt I didn't supply measurements. I've just rewatched this, and I do actually say what the measurements are for each piece throughout the video. Nowadays, I do try and add dimensions to the description box in case people miss them during the project. But as always, I welcome constructive criticism, so thank you for your comment
