    Wow thanks for the in depth review of this new line! I will definitely pick up a pack of it on my next visit to the saw shop.
    A couple videos back you had a trimmer head that kept melting the orange line and I had that happen a bunch this week also! It seems to just be the "stock" line that comes with a new head and is really frustrating!
    I have a good 24 hours of weed wacking in me so far this week! Thanks for posting your videos that motivate me to get yard work done!

      I guess I should have also mentioned in the video that this line has a different surface finish on it. It’s very smooth and I think one of the things they promise is it doesn’t weld. Which is actually a super huge bonus.
      Are you doing work around your property? I don’t think a lot of people normally go above 1 hour a week of weed whacking.
      I’m glad I can motivate you, thanks for watching :)

      You did say in the vid that it has a different shape then with use wears down to round/oval.
      Yeah I'm doing all of the trimming at my place and I have many many many more hours to go!
      I told my buddy today how much I've weed wacked this week and he said he'd move and that he hasn't spent 20 hours total in his life doing that! Hehe. Rookie!

    I also use .130 with my 131 but with the C26-2 head. That head doesn't say it'll work with .130 line but it worked well with it same as the speed feed 450 on my echo 3020, it doesn't say it'll work with .130 but also takes like 15ft of it.

    Best explanation i've heard on this line. Sounds like this line might be worth considering. If i have to try it, it would have to be the 0.105 for my fs120.

      Thanks Sat! I tried to just relay what I learned and experienced, seems that it worked. I'm also thinking about getting the .105 and trying it out to see if there is an advantage and difference between regular square trimmer line and the CF3 pro. Or maybe doing the same thing with .130 line, but since I have the .105 I think I'll try it out instead.

    yea I randomly just pick up that line Im new to the St hil equipment but it works great for tall grass

    • @golovinpropertyservices
      @golovinpropertyservices  3 роки тому +1

      Stihl equipment definitely has the quality. In some cases it does cost more, but looking at the results and how long things last, it makes sense to spend a little more and have something that lasts longer then constantly rebuying something that’s a little cheaper.

    I always wanted to use this line Dave, but unfortunately its not available here. Can buy it from ebay or amazon but its not worth it with plus the shipment and tax fees. So my best choice here in Malaysia is Sufix Megatwist or Sufix square cut.

    • @golovinpropertyservices
      @golovinpropertyservices  3 роки тому +1

      It’s a very good line. But if you don’t have it available then I think regular square line would be the best option after. It all depends on what kind of grass you’re cutting and on your trimmer, but from what I’ve been seeing square trimmer line is probably the best. That Suffix brand is probably specifically for Malaysia, never have seen it or heard of it.

      Some of the best brush cutters, unfortunately, aren’t available in the states. I’ll check it out.
      I’ve been looking at a Badger 52cc brush cutter that they sell at Home Depot. It’s a two stroke, but for the price might be worth a try.

    Thanks for the video. I have FS131 too and AutoCut 26-2C - i may use CF3 2.4mm or 2.7mm eventually (that's all that head takes). One question, though - what headgear do you use? By headgear i mean - the hearing protection. Thanks

    • @golovinpropertyservices
      @golovinpropertyservices  2 роки тому +1

      It’s an earmuff, I don’t remember where it came from. But they have models like this in harbor freight, Home Depot, Amazon, it all depends on your budget.

      dont know what 2.7mm is in Murica' units but the C26-2 head will work with .130 line and it works great with it.

  • @Janisg616

    Is FS 131 strong enough to use .130 line? I tried to look online what size FS 131 can handle, did not find Shtil's official specifications, only one seller promises "utilize a trimmer line up to .105." Maybe this estimate is based on "regular" 1.9HP 2 stroke trimmers, that turn faster but don't have so much torque.

    • @golovinpropertyservices
      @golovinpropertyservices  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, it is. I in fact, use the .130 trimmer line. It all depends on your trimmer head, I have the Autocut 36-2 that fits up to .130 trimmer line.
      You shouldn’t have an issue using .130 with the FS-131, mine handles it with no problem!

  • @RKPTMcCoyBros

    Have you played with the durocut heads? I've heard some wear and melting on the autocuts

    • @golovinpropertyservices
      @golovinpropertyservices  3 роки тому

      I haven't had any experience with the durocut heads just yet. My AutoCut 36-2 is working great, but after about a month it actually has started melting, I didn't notice it at first but when I did I was actually quite surprised. It still works great, the only downside is, I don't know for how long.
