I will be blunt, I have volunteered to walk and run for a number of years now, to get pledges for cancer research. Is that enough of a donation to you? As a disabled vet, I currently choose to predominately donate to aide other disabled veterans. Is that a problem for you? Since I can't specifically determine who will actually reap the benefits of my donations, I choose to pray for this family. I hope that if there are people who are on this site and they don't have a dime to donate, don't feel like their prayers aren't " making a difference". As someone who spent two months in a hospital and not knowing whether I would walk out or be rolled out in a casket, the prayers I received from the many who visited me, meant a lot.

Agree. I know prayer helped me get through one of the roughest times in my life. The network of people who knew me and those who simply prayed for me because they where told about me helped give me the strength to keep fighting when I was told I could die.
